A propulsive thriller that grabbed me in page one all the way until the end. Not that the end is The End! This story is book six from The Prosecution Force series featuring black ops specialist, Reed Montgomery, and his crew. While I have read (and enjoyed) other books from this author, this is my first from this series. I did not find it lacking any information; each character was well fleshed out although there is a deeper background to Montgomery’s past that sounds well worth looking into. Exciting action with a ratcheting tension of political intrigue had me turning pages non-stop. I’m going to have to start this series at the beginning while I eagerly wait for book 7!

I enjoyed this book. There’s a lot of emotions, tension, & action. You definitely need to read the earlier books first. And it does end in a kind of cliffhanger. #WhiteAlert #NetGalley

A really great international thriller sort of like the old Clancy books but without the huge military battles. I have not read any Logan Ryles books prior to this, and this book was great. I was able to immediately get into it and wanted Reed Montgomery to avenge his dead daughter and wife. As the book begins, there was a major terrorist attack in the US and Reed Montgomery vows to bring the perpetrator to justice. This story takes us all over the world and really kept me interested and turning the pages. I like the cat and mouse game between Ibrahim and Reed and especially enjoyed the section in the Chunnel. I was a little surprised when it ended on an unresolved cliffhanger but can't wait until the next book is released so I can see where the story goes. A really good action packed book.

The premise of this story – terrorists with a WMD planning assaults on Western nations infrastructure is timely and of significant importance. However, the characters were flat and very one-dimensional. So much so that it was not until the last few chapters that I became interested enough to emphasize them and care whether they survived or not! I received an ARC from NetGalley, and the opinions expressed are my own.

I received this book from Logan Ryles, his publisher (Severn River Publishing), and the fine folks at NetGalley in return for an honest review.

This is the sixth book in Ryles' exciting thriller series about Reed Montgomery and the members of the Prosecution Force, the blackest of black ops teams

In the aftermath of a pair of deadly chemical weapons (VX) attacks resulting in the deaths of approximately 5,200 souls in the states of Tennessee and Louisiana, this novel details the relentless chase for the world's deadliest terrorist begins by the Prosecution Force.

In the wake of gut-wrenching terrorist attacks across the American heartland, the Prosecution Force—led by relentless black ops specialist Reed Montgomery—is entrusted with capturing Abdel Ibrahim. Known as the world's number one terrorist, Ibrahim has eluded them before - the terrorist whose bomb shrapnel almost killed Banks and did kill their unborn daughter. The terrorist who attempted to assassinate President Trousdale and left her with a non-functioning liver that may kill her yet. The Prosecution Force is back in the good graces, sort of, with the CIA and Director Aimes has placing all hope on them. Looks like Ibrahim got his hands on a nuke and is extremely adept at staying one step ahead of them. He also seems to be an expert on leaving false clues.

Following leads to Beirut, a city mired in chaos and distrust, the stakes are raised. Every alley hides danger, and every contact could be a potential traitor. Just when Reed believes they have their man cornered, Ibrahim vanishes, leaving behind a chilling clue—a weapon, more devastating than anything they’ve ever encountered.

Tracing him to London’s shadowy streets, Reed and his team must navigate a web of deception, betrayal, and looming threats. With time running out and Ibrahim's next strike imminent, the Prosecution Force finds themselves in a deadly race against a ticking clock.

While the main story arc is straightforward, there are so many layers behind it you begin to wonder who is pulling the shooter’s strings. This novel also details some of the political machinations behind the American presidency and the geopolitical machinations amongst the nuclear powers of the world.

Once again Mr. Ryles does an excellent job of developing characters in this series, especially Vice President Stratton. In the previous books, he hasn’t been fully informed of the Prosecution Force, however when faced with the reality of the situation one is left to wonder if he is fully supporting them or if he has ulterior motives once he comes to understand their capabilities.

Logan Ryles' action thrillers would be a definite favourite of those readers who are aficiandos of other action thriller authors such as Paul Heatley, Jason Kasper, Blake Banner, and Ian Loome. On a five-star rating, I would easily give this novel a solid four stars. While I was late to discover Logan Ryles’ writing I know I’ll be going back and reading his previous books to get the full backstory on Reed Montgomery. This was a very exciting read and the next one promises to be even better.

As with all my literary ramblings, these are just my five cents worth.
