This cookbook is purely delightful. The recipes are easily followed and the layout makes everything very simple to find. The book is not overly-complicated, which makes it one of my favorite go-to’s!

The photos in the book entices me to try each recipe. Simply amazing and comforting.

The recipes inside that I’ve tried are: Breakfast Beans & Eggs, Creamy Tuna Pasta Salad, and the Mediterranean Pasta Salad.

There are too many of the books recipes on my “To Be Cooked” list to name! This book is worth its weight in cookbook gold! Hari Beavis has truly outdone herself with this “dream in the making!”

I received this book on NetGalley in exchange for my honest, unbiased review of it. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you Carnival, NetGalley, and Hari Beavis for the opportunity to review this book before its release date!

Not fussy, not complicated, just easy to follow recipes., with gorgeous little photos.
The sections are divided into the time it takes to make each recipe - 10, 20, 30, 40 minutes and a final section on delicious bakes Each recipe includes equipment needed and a little note at the end, suggesting alternative ingredients.
A favourite in the 10 minute section is the Mediterranean pasta salad, which I shall be making all summer long.
The 20 minute section includes the very tasty Feta and caramelised onion and honey tartlets.
Other favourites include Baked garlic and parsley crumb halloumi bites and Cheesy Fish Pie.
The bakes section is packed with delicious cakes and puddings - eg Chocolate hazelnut croissant pudding, Nan's chocolate cake and Paddington marmalade cake.
This will be a very used book, easy to delve into with lots of inspiration.
Highly recommend.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC.

Country Comfort by Hari Beavis is a delightful cookbook. It contains many recipes for main dishes but there are also some decadent dessert recipes to choose from as well. Since I often get into a rut when it comes to planning meals, this cookbook is a great resource. I can always come up with dessert idea but dinner ideas? Not so much.

Almost every recipe is appealing (maybe because of the photos that accompany many of them) and definitely comforting. They aren’t overly complicated, and should appeal to a variety of tastes. The recipes are well-written, with easy-to-follow instructions. The author also includes suggestions for alternative ingredients, which can often be quite helpful.

One of the unique things about Country Comfort is the presentation of the material. Each section is organized by the amount of time it takes to prepare the dish. The cookbook starts with only 10 minutes of prep time and works its way up to 40 minutes. There have been so many times I’ve intended to make a particular dish for dinner, only to realize I haven’t given myself enough time. If you’re a busy cook, this cookbook could prove to be very useful. No more second guessing on dinner prep.

I am not familiar with this author but, based on her latest cookbook, I’ll definitely keep her on my radar now. NetGalley provided an advance copy.

I’ve enjoyed following Hari on TikTok since 2020 and have loved her content! So I was delighted to see she had a cookbook out! I think the concept of the book is a great idea split into the amount of time to cook the dish! But I think her baking section truly stands out! I just made the banana and peanut butter muffins which were delicious. I took the suggestion to do half chocolate chips and the other half pecans.

The other recipes that I will be trying are: Cobb salad, Parsnip soup, croissant pudding, Waffle pudding and the Peanut butter cake.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my ARC

I feel like I haven’t seen a decent cookbook in a while and Country Comfort has changed that!
Beautifully photographed delicious food which all looks like I could make it, to start with the Momma’s chicken Cesar salad sounds and looks amazing and then I came across the Marmalade cake which made me rush to the fridge to check I had marmalade so that I can make it today!
This book will be a great addition to any kitchen shelf, I will certainly be using it for family meals and treats!

This is a fantastic cookbook and I have already planned to make several of the recipes over the next week for my family. I love the photos which are enticing and also give that comfort family country house feel - with the colour tone in the photos almost giving a throw back to the 1970's when everything was cooked from scratch and just healthier and comforting. This is my type of food and I am excited to start cooking.

A fantastic cookbook with lots of easy to follow recipes that the whole family could enjoy including the fussy eaters in my life. We’ve enjoyed the ‘can’t be bothered to cook’ chilli noodles and speedy creamy risotto. I really liked that there was alternatives to certain ingredients such a wine, as a Muslim we don’t consume alcohol and there aren’t many recipes which would recommend a substitute. There’s still so many recipes we want to try which include the ‘to cure a cold’ ramen and ‘man flu’ chicken soup- as you can guess, we can be a poorly household so these recipes will come in handy. And don’t get me started on the desserts, the apple crumble was bliss!

This cookbook is lovely! Full of comfort foods and delicious recipes. I especially love how the book is divided into sections based on length of cook time, making it easy to determine what to make each week based on my schedule.

As an American, I found the recipes and ingredients appealing and accessible. The only inconvenience is some measurements using grams/oz (i.e. peas, shrimp, Parmesan cheese), which may restrict individuals who do not have a kitchen scale. However, the majority of ingredients do have cup/fl oz conversion notated.

I’m looking forward to exploring more recipes in this book and bringing a little piece of England to my home.

Easy to follow, relatively quick (30 min average) recipes that are actually delicious! Comfort food is my favourite and these aren't daunting recipes but they look impressive when served!! I will be buying the hardcover!

Lovely cookbook with comforting recipes, have tried a few recipes so far and they were easy to follow and a big hit at home. Cannot wait to try some of the baking recipes soon!

Big plus were the aesthetic photos accompanying the recipes; the easy to follow instructions and the suggested alternatives.

*I have received an arc of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*

I love the photography, every plate looked delicious, and the recipes are easy to follow. However, if your palette isn't "adult", there will probably be more dishes you'd NOT make, than dishes you would in this book. I would maybe make and eat 15% of the featured recipes, but that's just my tastebud issues. I feel like most people would like these array of recipes. I also feel like the title of the book doesn't really go with the vibe of the recipes, if that makes sense. It's a bit misleading in my opinion.

I’m a sucker for cookbooks, and Country Comfort did not disappoint! This cookbook is filled with delicious recipes and stunning food photos that make you want to dive right in. The dishes are perfect for adding to my monthly family meal rotation. I’m especially excited to try the Messy Sausage Pasta, Mediterranean Pasta Salad, Pulled Chicken Tacos, and the Sunday Sports Chicken Mac ‘n’ Cheese. For dessert, the Grandparents-approved Carrot Cake sounds like the perfect sweet ending to any meal.

What a yummy and comforting cookbook! I can’t wait to start cooking from it.

Well-written and beautifully illustrated recipes broken down into groups by how long it takes to make them. The groups range from COMFORT IN 10 to COMFORT IN 40 with baking in a separate group. The Steak and Caramelised Onion Sandwich was in the COMFORT IN 20 group. That time was taken up by the caramelising of the onions. It was a good use of leftover steak I already had. One of the best steak sandwiches I have ever made according to my family. Will be making more of these British recipes.
