The illustrations were really well done. The monsters looked really cool. My 8 year old son thought it was so funny

This book will be an excellent book for young readers. I plan to incorporate it into my Storytimes in my role as Childrens Librarian at a public library. The story is adorable and has an excellent ending readers will love. I enjoyed the illustrations so much throughout the book, I was totally wrapped up in the jokes and the art. I can't wait to share this with my patrons.

The narrating man is oblivious to what is going on around him with all the silliness, gross, cute, monsters and zombies while his dog is well aware. The twist at the end definitely will make you smile.

This book was absolutely adorable and my kids laughed and enjoyed looking at all the beautiful illustrations!

This was a fun read. It’s kind of in the same vein as The Mobster at the End of the Book, in that the narrator is trying to convince you this book isn’t for you (the reader). My daughter thought it was hilarious throughout most of the body of the story, then agreed with the narrator at the end, so it seems the target audience enjoyed it. The illustrations are colorful and silly. The language is also fun, as they use words that kids don’t always encounter, but daughter enjoyed reading the words like shenanigans and jeepers. All around a quick and fun read.

This is a Funny Children's Book I read to my twin boys. I found the pictures in this book so great, and this book is so funny even my teenage daughter read it to my boys when they wanted it read to them again. She enjoyed it too. I really loved the ending. I will be getting this book when it comes out. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

WOW - these illustrations are insanely good! The story is cute, funny and would have my kids engaged throughout. I keep thinking about those illustrations though - so beautiful.

Truly hilarious! I picked up this book because of its title! Tempted to find out why is it not for me. I loved the illustrations especially. This different from the regular children's books. The author talks directly to the reader, i.e., you, through every page. And while the author says that this book has nothing of what kids like to read, it has it all. Everything! And the ending is so sweet and cute!

Fun read and great graphics. I will definitely have to share this with my kids, they’ll enjoy it and have fun with the first page for sure.

This Children's book is fantastic!! The Illustrations are incredible. The story is very cute. My kids really enjoyed all the things this book was not for but the end they were just laughing and laughing! They just keep saying Dogs don't eat books that is so silly. We will be purchasing this book to keep in our book rotation when it is released in August!

This book is just a plain ole' good time. It's silly and fun! The illustrations are great and I think a child would have a fun time reading it.

This Book Is Not For You is similar to Monster at the End of the Book from long ago. Updated and fun, children and their grown-ups will enjoy reading this title aloud and flipping through the gorgeous pages over and over.

This Book is Not for You is one of the cutest picture books I have read this year. I loved the curmudgeonly narrator and his dog. The illustrations were particularly cute, & I really loved the voice of the narrator. I would definitely recommend this one to anyone with picture book loving kiddos!

I loved reading this book! First of all: the drawings. They were spectacular! The colors were beautiful and they were just all-around well-done. Bravo, illustrator! Secondly, the idea was very clever! There are already books out there like this one, but this story definitely has some freshness to it. On top of the core idea, the author added various literary elements that made this book even better (ex. alliteration). Lastly, the ending was surprising! It wasn't what I was expecting at all, and it was cute and funny. Kids will love this and it will definitely make them giggle out loud.

This book is definitely for a young child, but I think all ages will enjoy the lovely illustrations and the contradictory nature of the book. Totally a fun and enjoyable read.

This is one of my favorite kinds of books to read out loud with kids. The words are saying one thing, and the kids will be looking at the pictures and realizing something else is going on. If you enjoy interacting with kids while reading, this fun book is for you.

So much funny in this book! If you like books for kids that are silly and over the top, this book is absolutely for you. (With a fun twist at the end for who the book is supposedly for) This will have kids young and old giggling, and exploring the detailed illustrations.

Oh how I love love love this! The illustrations are absolutely incredible, colorful, and fun with a story that makes you giggle and an ending that every kid will love.
