I really liked the idea behind this book and that the book has a focus on ADHD and the main character having glow magic.

The illustrations were nice but I did find them a little dark and would have preferred brighter ones to give the story more of a positive feeling as for me darker images can be a negative.

The story was ok to follow and it can be used as a great talking point but I am not sure that the wording is right for the age range, my daughter falls within this and she wasn't a huge fan of the book but it did help her understand what ADHD is a little more as she has a few children in her class at school that have this - they are generally naughty and disruptive (her words) so it was good for her to understand a bit more about why as school hasn't done so.

The message at the end of the book was positive and I loved the words used with the ADHD letters.

It is 3.5 stars from me for this one, rounded up to 4 stars for Goodreads and Amazon - highly recommended!

This was such a cute book!

I absolutely loved reading this book with my little one and having a fun and intriguing way to help explain what ADHD is and the personality traits of those who have it.

This children's book was able to cover a topic very well, but using fun bug changes, relatable content, and language that works for all.

You get:
• Children's Book
• ADHD Representation
• Bringing Children Together
• Helping Adults Understand ADHD
• Gorgeous Art Work

The illustrations were nice but not our favorite style.
We love the ADHD representation but the story plot fell a bit short for us.
The narrative could be a bit more exciting and engaging.

Jellypie, Firefly is a picture book about a firefly called Jellypie who is happy in its own exoskeleton.
The bright, vibrant and freshly designed digital illustrations are eye-catching and fortunately very good since digital picture books often do not look unique and original.
Jellypie walks us through its/their/his/her life, their strengths, hobbies, differences and what makes them unique. They have ADHD and this is an excellent representation.
Had the story had more plot points and layers, a few more engaging beats, this would have been a 5 star read for us.
It is a great example of narrative therapy, and younger children are a perfect audience for this book.
I highly recommend it.
