Andre and Lillian are childhood sweethearts until a single disagreement has put so much distance between them that they stop talking altogether.

Years later Lillian is trying to escape the life she has been born into - rich, must follow in family footsteps (aka the business). In the same period, Andre is a successful business owner in the heart of the bleakest cities in the world.

Faith brings them back together on Rosemary's farm where they both calm their souls although they are there for different reasons. This story is written so well that I started dreaming about being on the farm with Blotches, Mr and Mrs Frey, and Anna.

If you like a quick read with a great, happy conclusion, you should go!

Billionaire's Secret Baby: Brother's Best Friend Romance by Jessa Kane is STEAMY. This book is a fast-paced romance (no slow burn here!). The chemistry between the MMC, a wealthy and determined billionaire, and the FMC, his best friend's little sister (love brother's best friend!) is undeniable. When a secret baby enters the picture, the tension ramps up. The book balances spice with heartfelt moments as the couple navigates family dynamics, trust, and unexpected love. The author's writing is engaging, and while the plot may be a bit predictable, it’s a fun, indulgent read for fans of the billionaire romance trope.

My first read from Jennifer Hartley - not quite what I was expecting, but Lily's story was interesting and I enjoyed the farm setting. It didn't feel like a billionaire romance - but maybe that's a good thing!

Don't even know where to start. The story started off with a sex scene. I got past that. He's 25, 3 years out of college and has built an empire and is a billionaire?? When Andre comes in again in the second chapter comes across as arrogant and a total jerk. Nothing about him to like. The FMC wants to get away from her rich family and goes to work at a farm/ranch. Andre goes for a month and meets up with her. After less than a week he's changed his whole outlook on life. I found it hard to believe someone like him could change that fast. By 25% in I was checking how much was left to read.

I take this for what it is. It’s a book full of tropes and not a masterpiece, but it’s still entertaining. My expectations were low and it met them.

I want to thank NetGalley for an arc of this book.

I was interested in the synopsis: brothers' best friend, second chance romance and a secret baby ooOOooo.

Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The writing wasn't my style and the MMC was a bit of a d..k.

It started off good, Lily getting away from her family, building a new life. Andre came in and acted like an entitled prick, we saw some good character development and then he disappeared for 6 months, came back and made Lily do what he wanted.. somehow his development went backwards... idk just my opinion but I had high hopes for this because of how interested I was from the synopsis.

This story had me entertained for the most part. It was a quick read which is great if you just want something for a flight or a long road trip. There is a bit of the miscommunication trope but I didn’t mind it. I felt like the part where the FMC didn’t even consider she would be pregnant until she had a pretty big belly was not believable. I understand that some women go through a whole pregnancy without symptoms until they give birth but she had all the symptoms. If I knew that the guy I hooked up with came in me and I started feeling a bit sick, my mind would immediately go to pregnancy. Also, I feel like the blurb and this story don’t match. It says that this is a brother’s best friend but they were not really best friends and the brother wasn’t involved.

I would recommend for everyone to try this book. I wouldn’t consider this a favorite but it is worth reading.

Thank you to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for this e-ARC.

This is a second-chance romance centered on former high school sweethearts Lillian and Andre, who reconnect at Rosemary Farm. Both have grown weary of their lives in New York City—Lillian feeling trapped by her family's wealth and expectations, and Andre struggling with the emptiness of his success as a billionaire. After a fight with her brother over her refusal to join the family business, Lillian seeks refuge at the farm, where she unexpectedly crosses paths with Andre. Despite years apart, the spark between them reignites, and they use this time away from the city to rediscover themselves and their relationship.

While the book promises a small-town romance with the familiar trope of the billionaire falling in love, Andre's billionaire status feels secondary to the plot, which focuses more on their countryside retreat. The romance feels rushed, with the story lacking depth in the characters’ backstory, especially regarding their high school relationship. There is some misalignment between the book's marketing and its actual content, as the advertised "forbidden romance" aspect is underdeveloped. Overall, it’s an enjoyable, fast read with a happy ending, but it leaves some readers wanting more emotional and character depth.

Now this book surprised me. I was expecting this book to be a super spicy billionaire romance but it was almost the opposite. Second chance almost small town romance with accidental pregnancy was unexpected but amazing. This book is really good if you want a quick read.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for this arc.
I did not really enjoy this book. I found the characters to be annoying and boring.

The start was a little tough for me. You instantly hate her family. Which isn't a bad thing but then you also instantly hate almost everyone in the book. Was no good character. I came for the title and I guess I got what I wanted.

ARC Review of Billionaire's Secret Baby by Jennifer Hartley
* * * * *
A surprise preganncy between a runaway rich girl wanting the simple life, and her brother's billionaire buddy who is searching for something he has been missing.

Lilly fled in the dead of night from her snobbish and neglectful family. One upon a time she believed she had someone who cared for her, now they were pushing her to become someone else. Someone she refuses to become. Fleeing to the farm was the best decision she ever made, she just did not expect the universe to throw her a curveball.
Andre had everything. He owned a skyscraper and everything in it. He was rich. He was well connected. Yet something was missing. When a friend recommends stepping back from it all and going country out at a lovely little farm, his interest certainly perks when he sees Lily, sister of his friend and rivetting beauty.
Sparks fly between them, and they are consumed by their desires, but they are both wanting different happy endings.
Will they come to terms on what they want for each other...or will Lilly disappear from Andre's life carrying a secret?

An enjoyable read. Billionaire not really a bad boy, just a little lost and certainly smitten with Lilly. Maybe a little silly with some of the ideals he has which a old school, especially when it comes to Lilly's brother. Lilly has guts, knowing what she was leaving behind to persue her passion with nothing more than a bag and a plant. Thankfully her new home has great people who wish to take care of her.
Happy ending. Steamy barn scene. Cool horses. Want to crash in one of the cabins!

A short fun novella about a second chance at love for free-spirited Lilly and business focused Andre who stumbled upon each other again years after their breakup during a summer when they both are just looking for *more*. Great read if you want some short, with spice and a fun story between longer more stressful books.

The story felt rushed and a bit disjointed. I found the characters to be very flat and the ending seemed a bit confusing, I think more exploration of the various settings would have gone a long way!

Going into this book I really wasn't sure how I was going to feel about it. After getting a few chapters in though, I was invested in the characters. She is tired of the city life and wants to get out from under her family. He is a grumpy suit who thinks the world should cater to him, until he gets a dose of reality. I loved the way their relationship rekindled and how he reacted once finding out he was going to be a father. And I felt the way their story ended was perfect for them. Love it when the guy actually LISTENS!

This was okay. The conversation between the main characters felt stilted and awkward and the story did not feel unique.
