As much as I love Le French publications, wine and french crime & mystery books for some reason despite my best efforts I cannot connect with this series. At least because I read the first in the series, the characters made a bit more sense but though it felt like it should've been a quick read, I had to make an effort to continue reading. The writing is solid but I think probably this style of mystery or storytelling is simply not for me.

I'm not sure I'd be interesting in reading more in this series. I was glad it was a short book. I got tired of the lists.
