I really enjoyed it!
The story flows well and becomes more and more interesting.
The characters are very beautiful, the drawings do not always maintain the same quality and I would have liked them to do more wordbuilding, but they are certainly intriguing.
The storytelling is good and flows quite well.
Ho apprezzato davvero tanto!

🖤 Covenant Volume Two Review 🖤
Thank you so much to Lysandra Voung, Oni Press and netGallley for the opportunity to read and review this graphic novel!
Covenant is a paranormal fantasy queer graphic novel. As always this will be as spoiler free as possible, so if this feels vague - that’s why. After the events in Volume One, Ezra finds himself protecting Sunny, a seemingly normal human. But when the attacks on Sunny increase, can Ezra’s strength survive the attacks and keep Sunny alive??
I love this series so much! Ezra and Sunny are wonderful characters and I really enjoyed seeing more of their interactions together in this volume. Even the side characters are well developed and essential to the overall story. The illustrations are so beautifully detailed that it makes this graphic novel a joy to read!
Overall this was a five star read! I love these characters and their story. The world building and magic system in this series is so unique and I can’t wait for the next volume! This graphic novel does have some potential triggers, so please check if you’re sensitive. While this series embraces diversity and has hints of potential relationships, there’s no on page spice, so no spice rating will be given
If you’re a fan of graphic novels with beautiful art, strong characters and a wonderful story, then absolutely pick this one up! As this is a continuation of the story started in Volume One, I absolutely recommend reading them in order.
While I enjoyed the first volume and like the art style, I don't think this is engaging enough to keep my interest.
Covenant is an incredible series that I am excited to keep following. The characters and the story are immensely complex and rich; and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next volume!
Covenant Vol 2 is the next set of chapters in the Webtoon series, presented in full color and nicely bound in glossy paperback. Here we learn more about why the demons are after Sunny, and the beginning of the extent of how badly they want him. We also learn about said demons including the mysterious master that's leading the legion for capture, and there's a whole slew of characters here to help out and put in the good fight. The action is gorgeous and the character designs are neat and I see why this is a rather popular web comic!
Thank you to Oni Press and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for review!
Thank you Netgalley and Publisher for this advanced copy.
The story finally developed and I really adore all the characters
Volume two of this excellent series continues to deliver suspense, mystery and intrigue with hints of stories yet to be revealed. I felt this volume dragged a bit in places but maybe that is because I am impatient and I want answers now.
The art work is great as usual and I want to hurry to volume 3!
the art in this second volume continues to surpass my expectations and the story kept me glued to this book desperate to know what would happen next!
It somehow feels super slow and rushed at the same time. Things take forever to happen only to be done in a flash of cool-looking action. I will say that there is more to the plot in this volume as the religious undertones and demonic threats were fully laid out in volume 1, leaving some room for the characters to be developed and the plot to be expanded. There are still way more questions than answers, but we finally get to see more of Ezra and Sunny's personalities to feel a little more attached to their story.
I'm glad I took the time to read Volume 1 before this one because I would have been so lost without it. This is not a series that you can jump into at any volume.
The art remains rushed and wonky in places, but I've gotten used to it by now and am starting to see it as part of the story's personality.
Happy thanks to NetGalley and Oni Press for the interesting read!
I said it once already, but I have to say it again: the art is stunning. I love how diverse the characters are. They all have different looks, personalities, and sexualities.
Another thing I really enjoy is how even in this world of demons and angels the characters are relatable. Though people don’t have magical powers, Ezra’s struggles are still relatable to a lot of people. His indecision about which path to take is often something explored with hero/chosen one characters; however, I think in this case it is also relatable to a wide variety of people. I anticipate this being an ongoing issue, and I’m interested in seeing what the aftermath of the decision he chooses will be.
The author really loves cliffhangers, and I still have so many questions. I’m curious about the demon hierarchy and hope it is explored in future books. Seeing the way this story develops has been so fun, and I’m excited for more.
Overall I enjoyed this book immensely and am not so patiently waiting for book 3.
Bonus: the nightclub was my favourite part. I couldn't stop laughing.

Covenant, Volume 2
by LySandra Vuong
★★★★★
248 Pages
Content Warning: heavy religious content, mentions of grief, mild violence, loss of family members
Volume 2 of Covenant collects episodes 19-36 of the Webtoon comic, which means we get a lot of story in this volume, that builds on the events of Volume 1. The story flowed nicely between episodes, seamlessly continuing the overall arc of the story while adding in extra details, new characters and background to what we already know.
The art was gorgeous, as in Volume 1. The light contrast between good / evil and the highlights of gold whenever action scenes took place was so pleasing to the eye.
Again, the LGBT rep was really well done, combining inclusivity and diversity within the cast of characters. Everyone was an individual with distinct art and personalities.
I liked that we got to learn so much more about Sunny and his backstory, while also learning more about Ezra and his struggle with his faith. There was a lot of story involving the two of them being forced together for Ezra's protection detail and through college.
I did sometimes feel like Sunny was one of those too-stupid-to-live characters, who disregards his own safety and that of the people around him just to accomplish his own goals. He's often thoughtless and reckless, but considering his age and background, that feels pretty authentic to his characterisation.
I'm definitely intrigued as to how this will continue in Volume 3.
Okay, so I had the opportunity to read an e-arc of the first volume, and I just loved it. LySandra Vuong blessed us with this wonderful story. I also want to thank Oni Press and NetGalley for allowing me to read another volume of this series.
Ezra and Sunny are back where we left them: ready to fight a demon, but things get real’ bad real’ quick as everyone starts to suspect Sunny when his eyes turn black. So now they have to look after him even closer and ALL THE TIME. But between the stress and the demon lords, the danger might be greater than they think.
Gosh, it was great. The characters, the designs, the drawings, the hot priests, the hot demons, Father Aaron fighting an old enemy? Come on, this one was even better than the first volume. I just love this story, and it deserves to be a bestseller. Please, just read it.
Covenant is such an inventive and exciting story. The art is beautiful and the characters are entertaining and unique. Its action packed with perfectly layered found family and budding romance.
This graphic novel only gets better as it goes! The art style is breathtaking, and the well-paced action combined with an intriguing plot and delightful queerness kept me even more hooked than the first volume. It’s a fantastic continuation that draws you in deeper with every page.
Following the events of the first volume, the 2nd volume right away picked up where it left and immediately went to action.
Plot progress in this volume was fast, which I really liked. The graphic novel also spent an amount of time for character build-ups, which I really enjoyed. There's many interesting characters besides the main lead, which I find really interesting, perhaps way more than the leads.
Although, I think I don't want any romance here with the obvious main pairing. The main pairing kind of failed to really endeared or compelled me on their dynamic, most especially Sunny, I'm still not impressed by him.
The plot also thickens, with the whole demons and angels things, which is the reason why we decided to start this. I honestly couldn't wait to know more. Hopefully, we get to see more angels content and not just telling of them more of the Priests please.
Thank you, Onie Press, for the e-arc opportunity via Netgalley.

This series is so readable! It looks good and the plot keeps on twisting. I prefer volume one, but this was a REALLY good follow-up to that. The world was expanded upon and so were the characters, and their relationships too.
Beyond complimenting the art, the characters and the general story arc, I unfortunately don't have much more to say. It very much felt like a piece of the story we get before real progress, but then again, that just makes me even more excited for the next volume. I never thought I would follow along with a graphic novel series, but these silly priests with their diabolical problems really have my heart.
4 stars
Volume 2 picks up right where Volume 1 left off. I definitely enjoyed this one more because there is more world-building and character-building. I like Ezra and his goofiness while also having his serious moments. The poor guy is so conflicted, and he just can't use Gabriel's gift. I'm really curious as to what this gift is.
We learn more about Sunny and his history. He lost his mother and sister to demons, and they've been chasing him all his life. Now, Ezra and company are babysitting him. Something is different about Sunny, and there's a reason all these demons are after him. The plot thickened and held my interest much more than in Volume 1. Unfortunately, I still don't like Sunny's personality as much. I understand why he is the way he is, but mostly, I found him to be rash and impulsive.
I definitely prefer reading this as a volume instead of a webtoon. The panels make things easier for me and my eyes definitely prefer the layout to the constant scrolling. The artwork is amazing, and the action sequences are fantastic. We end on another cliffhanger but I'm very interested to see what happens next. I
Thanks Netgalley for the ARC.
The artwork is absolutely stunning, and the angels vs demons plot is brilliant. This was a super fast read, but the story is slowly building towards something, hopefully something epic. I will be along for the ride.
I received a digital ARC of this graphic novel from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
First of all, i said it once, i'll say it again 😂 i am a Father Aaron girly first, and a reader second. My god (pun unintended), old, tattoed priest type men? fiiiiinnnneeeee 🤌
More to the story, less to my thirst:
Themes we saw in Volume 1 got continued well into Volume 2 - Ezras struggle with his faith (here more so in a practical sense), Sunny's mysterious circumstances, the whole demon lore,...it was great 🫡
My only complaint with Volume 1 (aside from the quanity of Information input we got) was my initial wish that we had more Ezra x Sunny moments, their time didn't quite start till the end of Volume 1 BUT Vuong delivered. I loved the slow development of Sunny and Ezra's dynamic and potential future relationship we got to see here ♡ still yearning for more but that's more on me being impatient and excited than the story. Rushing wouldn't be right.
Mystery wise...tbh i thought i was so smart, i was so sure the Sunny backstory/secret would be predictable, but than things happend - backstory snippets got dropped - and i was thrown into a loop 😭✋️ like u got me there Vuong. Damn u ✊️.
But speaking of mystery, i loved how the demon lore was further developed. We saw more of their inner workings, how they operate, and their alliances, the power dynamics etc . As much as i was mainly here for the romance, the more i learned of the rest, the more i finally wanted and want my answers.
Also: mean cliffhanger.
This is one of my favourite recently released graphic novels. It has a combination of action and dark stories, which I love. It is full of action. We learn a bit more about the characters, but I can't wait to read the next installment!
