🌟🌟🌟🌟
Hank is grumpy as they come. Rude. Obnoxious. The worst...
Can he change his ways? *honk*
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I think we've all known Hanks in our lives . . . rude, self-obsessed people (or geese) who can't stop talking about themselves, and have seemingly no regard for others. Sometimes the Hanks of this world can see the error of their ways, and make an effort to change.
You may not like Hank much in this story, but you'll probably be rooting for him by the end of the book. With cute illustrations by Duncan Beedie.
This is a perfect book for elementary aged students (and even older kids) that need a reminder about being kind. Hank does things that are not nice, like honking over others, tearing up books, and even popping balloons, but finally Hank realizes it can be lonely when you aren't a good friend. He changes his ways and even shows sometimes you fall back into bad habits before breaking them. At least we hope.
I would recommend this for an elementary school or anywhere picture books are loved. The illustrations are colorful and help get the point across about how Hank is causing problems with even his "honks" being left to be cleaned up on the floor. The story is a great way to show that even when you have decided to do better, sometimes you still make mistakes.
Hank Goes Honk is about a goose who is obnoxious and the other animals try to teach him to be more considerate. Readers will learn some vocabulary -- namely obnoxious and considerate--and enjoy the entertaining illustrations. Kids will love when Hank pops the balloon, particularly little ones. However, there's not much depth to the book, no one really helps Hank -- they just want him to fit into society better and annoy them less. So, overall I wasn't really a fan.
This is a silly book about an obnoxious goose that is trying not to be obnoxious. The book highlights and defines these larger words for younger children. I’d recommend it for children 5 and up given the content.
This book is so fun and funny, while also teaching an incredibly valuable lesson to kids. My daughters loved every moment and the illustrations helped capture and hold their attention!
Great read for preschoolers! This book is bright and bold and simple to follow along. Kiddos will love the story and the fun.
This picture book has bright, bold illustrations and a simple storyline related to an "obnoxious" goose who constantly interrupts, pops people's balloons, and generally makes a nuisance of himself. Although this book teaches about manners and good behavior through this negative example, it mainly plays the goose's behavior for laughs and ends on an ambiguous note. Although kids might find this funny, it wouldn't necessarily be the most helpful teaching tool for an adult looking to correct a child's behavior.
This story was just okay. I like the obnoxious goose character and how he annoys everyone, but the ending was a bit of a let down.
Thank you to NetGalley and Publisher Spotlight for my copy of this book!
Hank is grumpy goose (unsure if I've ever met a happy goose, but I've definitely met a few silly geese (every time I look in the mirror)). When he realizes his anger is hurting potential friends, he endeavors to behave better!
This book was so funny! I started reading it and immediately knew it would be PERFECT for Story Time with toddlers who love silly books with loud noises, and pre-schoolers who benefit from stories about good behavior. I'd also recommend this book to a parent looking for books on anger management or ADHD symptoms.
Hank is such an adorable goose. When we see him, we can’t really predict that he would be this rude and inconsiderate. He interrupts others and behaves rudely all the time. This would certainly result in loneliness for Hank since others would start disliking him! Now, how can he make friends?
Kids and adults can very well relate to this topic. Nobody is perfect, but changes are not impossible.
Illustrations support this story beautifully well and make this story come alive.
Perfect for ages 3+
Hank Goes Honk was a super funny read ahha. My daughter was laughing out loud and so was I. Then we got to honk around for a bit haha. I was hoping this book would help my daughter understand that it’s rude to interrupt, spoiler she doesn’t care.the illustrations were bright and engaging.
I would recommend this books to everyone.
Thank you to Netgalley and Tiger Tales.
This book was pure fun! Hank is a naughty goose, who interrupts with honks, and enjoys popping a baby bunny's balloon. With some help, Hank is working to behave better, and my kids were rooting for him the whole way. We all laughed throughout the book.
I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review—a fun picture book about a rude and obnoxious goose who needs to learn a thing or two.
Both my two children and I really enjoyed "Hank Goes Honk"!
The illustrations really made the stop come alive right off the pages.
Creative and relatable, we all enjoyed Hank's complications with interuppting others when going HONK!
I also loved how my children continued the conversation about the books message well after we finished reading this title.
"Hank Goes Honk" was a very adorable story about an obnoxious goose trying to learn how to be a friend. I liked that the story illustrated that nobody is going to be perfect overnight and that changing behavior takes time. People will make mistakes but can keep moving forward. I also loved the artwork!
This is a fun picture book that children will love to read. My library will definitely be buying this book. I can't wait to see children love it as much as I did!
Hank is a bad goose! This was such a funny, silly book about Hank the Goose. Hank needs to learn to be a good goose, he is doing his best!
Nicely illustrated and written. Perfect for story time for the little kids at a library.
As a former early childhood educator, I care deeply about the messages of Children's books and what the kids are likely to take away from them. This book strikes a lovely balance between being funny, colorful, and providing thoughtful learning about how we impact those around us. I appreciate that Hank the Goose wanted to change his behavior and that he was not immediately perfect. I love that the desire to change is self-motivated and that when he makes mistakes, the message is to take a breath and try again. This is a 10/10 for me! This is everything I want in a children's book.
Hank the goose doesn’t just go honk: He interrupts, hordes the goodies and provides lessons on how not to be obnoxious in general. Author Maudie Powell-Tuck and illustrator Duncan Beedie combine to make a most delightful book to teach youngsters polite behavior.
In the interest of full disclosure, I received this book from NetGalley, Publisher Spotlight and Tiger Tales in exchange for an honest review.
