Mistletoe Season is a delightful holiday audiobook collection with three heartwarming, festive stories that capture the magic of Christmas, love, and second chances.

In Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts, Hailey Fairchild, a romance writer, has sworn off mistletoe after a series of disastrous kisses, particularly one with her high school crush, Carwyn Davies. When she returns home for the holidays, she’s determined to avoid mistletoe—and Carwyn—but the festive atmosphere makes it harder to stick to her plan. This charming tale is full of humor and sweet romantic tension, perfect for those who love a holiday story with a dose of self-discovery.

Kathleen Fuller’s Return to Mistletoe takes us to the small town of Mistletoe, Missouri, where Emmy Banks reconnects with Kieran O’Neill, a man she once knew but never expected to see again. Now back from his years abroad, Kieran is drawn to Emmy, but both face personal dilemmas about where their hearts truly belong. Fuller weaves a heartfelt story of love, loss, and the meaning of home, making it a cozy listen for anyone seeking a feel-good Christmas romance.

The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham adds a bit of royalty and charm to the mix. Prince Arran St. Clare, sent to small-town Ransom, North Carolina as part of his royal “punishment,” finds himself unexpectedly drawn to a woman who doesn’t care about his title. Basham delivers a story filled with humor, personal growth, and a touch of Christmas magic, making it a perfect tale for anyone looking for a heartwarming, transformational romance.

Each story in Mistletoe Season is rich with festive charm and swoon-worthy moments, ideal for listeners who crave holiday romance with depth and warmth. The narrations bring the characters and holiday settings to life, making it a perfect audiobook for getting into the Christmas spirit.

Not my favorite, but these were cute and cozy. I was just not very invested in the characters and the stories seemed a little lacking.

Mistletoe Season features three sweet, small-town Christmas stories, each reminiscent of a Hallmark Christmas movie! These each individually were decent, nothing spectacular. I would have enjoyed them as standalones with more developed plot.

Mistletoe Season is a captivating anthology that embodies the essence of Christmas, comprising three distinct stories by Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller, and Pepper Basham. Each tale is a testament to the transformative power of love and the magic of the season, inviting readers to indulge in the joy and romance of the holiday. As you settle in with a warm cup of hot chocolate, allow the heartwarming narratives to transport you to a world of enchantment and possibility. While each story boasts its unique charm, the first and last tales resonated deeply, with Return to Mistletoe and Say No to Mistletoe leaving an indelible mark. Tanya Eby's masterful narration brings the stories to life, making this anthology a must-listen for anyone seeking a poignant and uplifting holiday experience.

Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller
3⭐️ A super cute little novella about two childhood friends later in life finding love together. I lovedddd the Christmas vibes!! It was full on Christmas cheer & I was here for it!! Loved Emmy & her sweet soul & how her & Kieran found each other when they needed each other most

A Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
3.5⭐️ I really enjoyed this one! It's adorable prince meets small town girl. She's rough & a bit of a tomboy but has a heart of gold. When they team up to work on an angel tree project they slowly grow feelings for each other.
This was sweet and the perfect royal Christmas novella with Christian themes. Loved!!

Say No To Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts
2⭐️ This one was my least favorite of the 3. I didn’t connect to the FMC at all. I’m not usually someone that enjoys an FMC who hates on herself & puts herself down/compares herself negatively to others & that was basically this entire novella. I didn’t believe the relationship & there was no relationship development.

Note:: all 3 were closed door, clean/sweet romances.
No language.

This Christmas, three couples find themselves under the mistletoe . . . whether they want to be there or not.

Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts Mistletoe is Hailey Fairchild's kryptonite. Every time she's kissed someone under the mistletoe it's led to love disaster. This is a problem being as she is a romance writer, who seems to have writer's block. Back in high school, her brother's friend and hunk, Carwyn, kissed her under the mistletoe on a dare. It was a mortifying moment she's never forgotten, and now she's about to go home for the holidays, single, and still having a bit of a crush on Carwyn. What will happen if Carwyn shows interest in her?
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller Emmy Banks has always loved Christmas, making it perfect for someone who lives and works in Mistletoe, Missouri? Kieran O'Neill, her best friend's brother, and high school crush, has spent years abroad, renovating an old Irish castle, but returns to Mistletoe for his mother's seventieth birthday. He reconnects with Emmy, helping her in her antique shop. The more time they spend together, their chemistry boils over, but can Emmy risk her heart when she knows he'll never stay in Mistletoe, and she will never leave?
The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham Prince Arran St. Clare has lost his freedom and fairytale life in exchange for a three-month "punishment" in the small town of Ransom, North Carolina. To prove he is ready for the royal life for which he was born, Arran must engage in the Christmas charity fundraiser, The Mistletoe Wish. As he works with the charity and the locals, especially a beautiful young woman, he enjoys what he is doing and loves the town and it's people. With Charlie, his sister's sister-in-law, he sees a beautiful and intelligent woman who doesn't recognize her own worth. With some Christmas Magic, some mistletoe, and the feel-good atmosphere of helping others, he might understand what truly matters most.

I enjoyed all three of these stories. Although they are novellas, they have great characters, amazing towns, sweet plots and happily ever afters. Of course I knew that would happen, but it was fun getting there. If I had to pick a favourite, I would be hard pressed to do it. I really enjoyed how the authors all incorporated Mistletoe into their stories. My biggest complaint is that I wanted more from each of these stories. Tanya Eby narrated the stories and did a great job with each of them.

I enjoy the writing of all three authors in the "Mistletoe Season" collection, so anticipated enjoying these stories too. And I was not disappointed!

And I'm grateful that I didn't miss this because I hadn't realized that Pepper Basham's contribution was the next story in a series of hers that I've been looking forward to reading. The series started with "Authentically, Izzy," and continued with "Loyally, Luke" and "Positively, Penelope." So, the fact that "The Mistletoe Prince" deviates from the title pattern, but features the fourth member of this sibling/cousin friend group, took me by surprise.

Regardless, each of the stories in this collection had something worthwhile to contribute, especially if you like low-spice rom-coms set during the holidays.

Thank you to the authors, HarperCollins, and NetGalley for an advance review copy.

Mistletoe Season is a collection of three festive short stories that all incorporate mistletoe into their storyline. I listened to this book on audio.

Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller is the first novella in the book. It follows Emmy who lives in cozy Mistletoe, Missouri, and she reconnects with her friend's brother Kiernan who is visiting from Ireland for his mother's 70th birthday. What will happen when Kiernan has to go back to Ireland?
3 stars

The Mistletoe Prince, by Pepper Basham is the second novella and my personal favourite of the group. In this novella, Prince Arran St. Clare is sent to North Carolina as punishment until he can prove that he is ready to live up to his royal pedigree. To prove his readiness, he has to assist with a fundraiser where he meets the beautiful Charlie who stirs up feelings. Will these feelings last longer than the holiday? 3.5

Say No to Mistletoe by Shiela Roberts is a rom com about Hailey Fairchild who avoids kissing under the mistletoe at all costs as it has only ever led to hearbreak. Can her first childhood kiss help to turn her mistletoe luck around? 3 stars

All three of these short stories are closed door, low-stakes, happily-ever-after tales.

I listened to these books on audio and I would give my audio listening experience a solid...okay. There were times when I found the accents of the narrators distracting and didnt find the the voices always matched the characters (in my opinion). The pace of the narration and tone were satisfactory.

I received an arc of this audio book in exchange for an honest review. Many thanks to the publisher and authors for this opportunity.

3 Stars

I was unable to listen to this one before it expired. Thank you for the chance though. I do hope to get to this one in the future and will update my review at that time.

This is a lovely collection of three Christmas stories, each with their own plot and loveable characters. I enjoyed the length of each and how festive each story felt.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins Christian Publishing for Audiobook ARC.

These 3 short stories were very cute. They are your typical holiday romance storylines. I enjoyed listening to the narrator Tanya Eby. I only gave these stories 3 stars because there wasn’t anything wrong with them, but there also wasn’t anything special that made them stand out from many others.

This is three short stories in one and while they were all cute my fave was say no to mistletoe. It’s about Hailey who discovered love disaster every time she kisses someone under the mistletoe. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves cute holiday reads.

A wonderful trio of stories! These were festive and fun, yet each one was different and lovely in it’s own way. As always with a collection of stories, there were some that were better than others. I loved this format and enjoyed the short but sweet stories found within.

2.5⭐️

As a collection of short christmas romances, I found these okay. While I couldn’t bring myself to finish the third story I can comment fully on the first two. They were what might be expected, bad boys turned good and love blossoming in a short period of time. However, both stories seemed to have subtle conservatism/christianity throughout. Despite it being irrelevant to both plots the characters were described as attending church multiple times throughout. The second story also seemed to insinuate that the only reason tomboys exist is because they haven’t had appropriate mothering and all girls like this secretly want to be more feminine. Also, as the main character became more feminine, she suddenly found herself spending less time on the job (she’s a carpenter) and more time in the office…all while falling in love, the thing for which she must ultimately become more feminine.

Overall, the leading men were inoffensive and appropriately supportive of the female love interests but they both came off as cardboard cutouts with personalities projected onto them by description, rather than showing those personality traits.

As far as Christmas romances go, these will likely appeal to people who have slightly less sensitivity to those loosely Christian/conservative themes (of which there are many, I am sure). These are also notable for a lack of spice, something I am sure would also appeal to those comfortable with the themes. If you’re looking for a kinda wholesome, very light, holiday romance selection, this is a safe (if a little boring) bet.

Also, if you choose the audiobook as I did, just prepare yourself for some very distracting accent work. This really upped the cringe factor for me and probably docked it that half point, to take these under average.

A 3-story collection of winter-season holiday romances which are great to read/listen to on a gloomy day.

Just like reading Hallmark movies. Three cute and romantic short stories that celebrate the holiday season. Nice title to relax by the fire and enjoy happy endings.

This is a set of three festive stories of romance to get brighten your Christmas reading, all with mistletoe somewhere in the story. I really wanted to read Prince Arran's story by Pepper Basham as I had read the rest of the Skymar series. It was definitely a lovely addition to the series with Charlie (Charlotte) Edgewood, cousin of Luke, Izzy, and Penelope, and Arran, Prince from Skymar. Arran is working on a life do-over while in the Blue Ridge Mountains working with Luke, his sister and princess Ellie's husband. A lovely quick Christmas romance develops between Charlie and Arran.
Kathleen Fuller's sweet Christmas story is a Christmas romance between Emmy Banks and Kieran O'Neill, her best friend's brother. Emmy had a high school crush on Kieran and even filled in as a last-minute date for his senior prom. Kieran left right after graduation for Ireland and hasn't been back until now for his mom's 70th birthday. With his delicious Irish accent. Fun story.
In Sheila Roberts' story, Hailey goes to her Northwest hometown for Christmas. She grew up as an awkward, nerdy chubby girl. Now she has slimmed down and is a bestselling romance author. Her mom has her set up for all kinds of appearances and is somewhat of a celebrity, but she doesn't feel like one with her insecurities popping up. But she enjoys her visit and even gets to spend special time with her old crush and her brother's best friend Carwyn. I recommend this anthology for a series of quick, fun romance holiday reads.
