Description
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts
Mistletoe is Hailey Fairchild’s kryptonite. Every time she’s kissed someone under the mistletoe it’s led to love disaster. Not a good thing for a romance writer! When she was a gawky high school girl, her hunky neighbor, Carwyn Davies, star of the basketball team (and her dreams), kissed her under the mistletoe on a dare. But the kiss wasn’t a dream come true. It was a mortifying moment she’s never forgotten, and now she’s about to go home for the holidays, unengaged and . . . determined to say no to mistletoe. Especially if Carwyn is anywhere around.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller
Emmy Banks has always loved Christmas. How could she not when she lives in Mistletoe, Missouri? Kieran O’Neill has spent years abroad, renovating an old Irish castle, but returns to Mistletoe for his mother’s seventieth birthday. He reconnects with Emmy, his sister’s close friend, and spends time with her in her charming antique shop. When the weather turns colder, things start to warm up between Emmy and Kieran. But can Emmy risk her heart when she knows he’ll never stay in Mistletoe, and she will never leave?
The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
Prince Arran St. Clare has lost his freedom and fairytale life in exchange for a three-month “punishment” in the small town of Ransom, North Carolina. To prove he is ready for the royal life for which he was born, Arran must engage in the Christmas charity fundraiser, The Mistletoe Wish. But when kindness, authenticity, and hard work prove more appreciated in Appalachia than a royal pedigree, Arran must face the mirror and find out who he is beyond the crown. Add a beautiful and intelligent woman who doesn’t recognize her own worth, some mistletoe, and a little Christmas magic and it all might be enough to help the rebel-prince understand what truly matters most.

Lovely holiday romances. Each one is different and sweet. I fell in love with each of the characters. This is absolutely perfect for the holidays.
The narrator was perfect. Great accents and delivery.
I received an arc from netgalley and the publisher.
There’s something about the Christmas season that has me craving holiday novella collections. I’m not a huge novella reader at other times of the year but come Christmas, I’m all in and the stories in ‘Mistletoe Season’ remind me of why I love these collections so much!
Love the way each author took the mistletoe theme in a different direction. Great creative approaches and each author brings their unique storytelling gifts to this collection.
In ‘Return to Mistletoe’ by Kathleen Fuller, Emmy and Kieran are older than the typical hero and heroine in a contemporary romance — not that old, early forties — but old enough to have lived life, experienced both joy and heartache and become a little jaded about love.
Kieran’s home for the holidays after spending years abroad. Emmy never left Mistletoe. She’s his sister’s best friend and had a crush on him in high school. He was oblivious. And now, here they are twenty odd years later and sparks are flying, the air around them is sizzling but he has no intention of staying and she will never leave so….They need a Christmas miracle…and a healthy dose of mistletoe!
Be still my heart — it’s another royal romance from Pepper Basham in ‘The Mistletoe Prince’, featuring a Skymar prince! And Luke manages to wangle his way into the story quite a bit, always ready with a quip or a piece of no-nonsense advice.
And then there’s Arran, redemptive prince who is guaranteed to curl your toes and leave you in a constant swoony state. So prepare to spend some quality time reading on your fainting couch.
Construction worker Charlie (Charlotte) is a princess in the making only she doesn’t know it. And the way Arran goes about showing her is, well, all kinds of swoony. Charlie’s spunky though, and kind with a heart for serving others. And quick with the smart-aleck comebacks — her nicknames for the prince are hysterical! As is their very unique meet-cute. Haven’t read anything like it. Ever! Bwahaha!
If you love heartwarming romance with a healthy dose of humour, this is the story for you. Oh — and no worries if you haven’t read any of the Skymar books (there are three), this would read well as a standalone — and serve to whet your appetite for the rest of the series!
Shelia Roberts’ ‘Say No to Mistletoe’ wraps up this collection beautifully. It’s shorter than the other two stories, but delivers a satisfying read nonetheless.
Hailey has never been able to resist the lure of the mistletoe, and it always ends in disaster so she’s determined that this year her Christmas will be mistletoeless! But she’s back home for a visit and well meaning family are causing all kinds of grief. Plus, meeting up with her high school crush tests her mistletoe resolve.
Love the pacing of this short story — the author packed so much emotion into the read. I was wincing and angsting and fuming right along with Hailey as she comes to terms with her past in her small hometown and finds her way to an unexpected happily ever after.
I listened to the audio edition of ‘Mistletoe Season’, thrilled with Tanya Eby’s narration as she is a favourite narrator. She does these stories justice and created an enjoyable, easy-listening experience. Highly recommend the audio book.
My thanks to Thomas Nelson, Zondervan Fiction Audio and Net Galley for providing me with an audio copy of this book.

Mistletoe Season by Shelia Roberts, Kathleen Fuller, Pepper Basham is a collection of three Christmas short stories and I loved all three. These quick fun reads are for sure the perfect thing to get you in the mood for the holidays. I love how each novella brings something unique. If you’re a Hallmark girlie you should definitely add this to your TBR for Christmas.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this advanced audio copy of Mistletoe Season: Three Christmas Stories in exchange for an honest review.
Stop everything you’re doing and go add this to your TBR list for the winter. It’s absolutely darling! I cherished every second.
These 3 Christmas stories are adorable.
They deliver exactly everything that they promise.
My favorite was without a doubt “The Mistletoe Prince” by Pepper Basham.
This is the perfect compilation of stories to read or listen to in a cozy day. They are short, sweet and funny.
You can connect to the characters and see their evolution and growth in this short stories. I had an amazing time listening to this.
The narrator is spectacular and was fundamental do deliver the spirit of the characters.
In this stories there are all the good and amazing tropes, as enemies to friends to lovers, 2nd change, brother best friend. The heroes and swoon worthy.
Overall: I had an amazing time listening to this and would definitely recommend. It’s the perfect combination to get you out of a reading slump and into reading again because it will give you that cozy feeling and will reconnect you again with your reading.
Three fun short stories from three different authors centered around holiday couples fueled by mistletoe.
First you get Emmy and Kieran. Emmy lives in a town called mistletoe, where she works in an antique shops. She loves all things festive, her daughter and her town. So when Kieran, her childhood crush, returns to Mistletoe for his mother’s birthday, sparks fly between him and Emmy. But his life has been in Ireland for the past years. Will he stay with Emmy or return to Ireland?
Second you get Prince Arran who’s given a reality check and been sent away to work on The Mistletoe Wish, a charity fundraiser to prove he’s suitable for the crown. What he didn’t expect was to meet a women who shows him some Christmas magic and just how deep his own character goes.
Lastly, you get jaded Hailey. Shes a romance writer who’s been burned by all her past mistletoe experiences. Specifically one with her neighbor Carwyn, back in high school that ended up in embarrassment. Now she returns home for the holidays, and possibly will run into Carwyn, but will she continue to say no to mistletoe this time?
These were so fun and light hearted to read. I think Hailey’s story was probably my favorite. The irony of being a romance writer while holding a grudge to her own experiences made for a fun journey. Kinda gave of the grinch vibes with her great growing lol. I also really enjoyed the Irish details with Kieran in the first story. Really gave him character and set the scene for some of his customs.
These were such sweet holiday stories! I especially loved the second story that was based in the NC mountains with a prince! These authors did a wonderful job of fixing all the holiday cozy feels!
I loved that this book had three delightful stories that could appeal to anyone.
The first story in Mistletoe Season was a surprise delight! I loved the friends-to-lovers trope, especially with characters in their 40s, which brought a fresh and mature dynamic to the romance. The vibes throughout were perfect, leaving me smiling from start to finish.
The second story, featuring a royal romance, was equally adorable! This was my personal favorite story. It had the perfect meet-cute and the "love at first sight" element, which gave me all the feels. It’s everything you could ask for in a sweet, fairytale-style love story—a good old-fashioned romance that made my heart melt.
As for the last story, it didn’t quite hit the same note for me. I appreciated that the protagonist was a romance writer, and I typically enjoy the friends-to-lovers theme, but I wasn’t a fan of how she ended up giving up her life in the city for the small-town guy.
Mistletoe Season is packed with cute, heartwarming tales perfect for getting into the holiday spirit!
My thanks for the audio ARC goes to NetGalley and HarperCollins Christian Publishing, Thomas Nelson Fiction. I'm voluntarily leaving a review.
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Christmas Romance, Sweet Romance, Christian Fiction
Spice Level: Kissing
Format: Anthology with 3 stories by 3 different authors
Christian Aspects: Subtle with short/occasional expressions of faith
MISTLETOE SEASON is a lot of fun. I'd read books by Pepper Basham before, but I haven't read anything by Sheila Roberts or Kathleen Fuller (they are now on my list to buy from as well as Basham).
Sheila Roberts
A second-chance romance where a kiss under the mistletoe led to disaster, and now this unengaged woman must return to her hometown and face her worst memories from high school. She's determined to skip out on any interactions with the boy who kissed her. Oops! That's not possible.
Kathleen Fuller
A second-chance romance with a man returning home from his stint in Ireland—where he gained an accent but not a wife. This was heart-warming as the two main characters cracked open their hearts after having experienced disappointment. I loved how the people in their lives are rooting for them to find happiness.
Pepper Basham
A royal romance, where a prince is off to the American South to figure out and reclaim his life after a disastrous break up. This one made me laugh so much as the two main characters work through a horrible first impression. Rediscovering yourself is part of the theme in this story, and it feels like something everyone can relate to.
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have.
Happy reading!
Three short stories in one beautiful book. I loved this holiday collection. You'll not want to miss this one.
Many thanks to Net Galley and HarperCollins Christian Publishing for an audio ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Mistletoe Season

Five Stars Xs Three
I loved all three of these sweet Christmas short stories!
Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller, and Pepper Basham have put together a wonderful trifecta of Christmas short stories.
Hailey and Carwyn are so stinking adorable! Brothers' best friend.
Emmy and Kieran are so sweet. Kieran with his Irish accent after spending decades in Ireland renovating an old Irish castle is swoony. Best friends' older brother.
Prince Arran and Charlie were so much fun! Who doesn't love a naughty prince on the path to reform? Cousin's brother-in-law.
Thank you to NetGalley, HarperCollins Christian Publishing, and the authors for the opportunity to listen to and review these stories. I enjoyed all three!

This book is an adorable collection of holiday romances and will put anyone in the Christmas spirit! All these short stories are sweet and clean.
The first story was Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller is a second chance romance that will warm your heart! The relationship between Emmy and Kieran was so sweet and I really enjoyed all the Irish culture mixed in. The narrator did an amazing Irish accent for Kieran!
The second story was The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham and I was so excited that this book brought back to Luke and Ellie from Loyally Luke! This was my favorite of all three of the books. I really liked the story line of Prince Arran helping Luke’s cousin, Charlie, with the Mistletoe Wish Christmas charity fundraiser. I loved how Prince Arran and Charlie were able to help each other find their own confidences. I would love more stories about these two!
The third and final story was Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts is a hilarious brother’s best friend romance. This story was so quirky and fun that I was laughing out loud throughout it. I found Hailey Fairchild’s character to be hilarious and her hometown crush Carwyn to be swoon worthy!
Overall, I loved all three of these books and the narrator did a fantastic job bringing all three books to life!
The only problem with a novella collection is that each book ends too soon! I was loving these characters and their love stories, which made me ready for Christmas - in September ha!
I know some of the characters in Pepper Basham's "A Mistletoe Prince" are mentioned in her Edgewood family trilogy. Now I am curious if we learn more about any characters in "Return to Mistletoe" by Kathleen Fuller or "Say No to Mistletoe" by Sheila Roberts in their other novels?!
The audiobook is amazing due to some characters having accents!
I received an advanced copy from NetGalley. Opinions are my own.
These stories were super cute and definitely got me excited for the Christmas season. Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller was definitely my favorite but I loved listening to the others as well. lol clean, heartwarming romances. I love when Tanya Eby narrates. She does an amazing job with female and male voices. Huge thanks to Harpercollins and Netgalley for allowing me to listen and review these wonderful stories.
Thank you to NetGalley for my copy. My review is my own.
This book is fun read with three great holiday storytellers. I requested the copy as I love Sheila Roberts, but now will be looking up the other authors as well. It has three short Christmas stories so there is not a lot of depth or background to any of the stories, but they are nice quick and complete story arcs. All three are clean romance stories that give major Hallmark vibes with the snow, carriage rides, and awaited kisses. I'll be honest Basham and Fullers stories may have edged out Roberts, but only because it was audiobook and their stories had accents for the guys. Plus Basham has the trope of small town girl falling for royalty. Lots of wonderful cheesy swoon moments to get you ready for Hallmark, I mean Holiday season!
If you’re looking for some sweet Christmas romance, this book absolutely fit the bill. You get so
much of that Christmas cheer without committing to three full length novels. I love compilations like this to try new authors. While I’ve already read much of Pepper Basham’s backlist, I am so glad to have found two new-to-me authors to add to my list. I highly recommend adding it to your Christmas TBR.
Okay this is like 3 cozy hallmark movies all wrapped up in one book. The stories don’t overlap. They’re completely separate from each other. Of the three, I think Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts was my favorite. All three stories were great though. The first story, Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller, focuses on Emmy & Kieran. Kieran is back in his hometown for his mother’s birthday when he runs into his sister’s best friend, Emmy who happens to have had quite the crush on Kieran back in the day. The second story is The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham. Prince Arran comes to stay with his sister in North Carolina to try and get his life back on track after his bad behavior & meets Charlotte who could use the help of a prince for the Christmas fundraiser. The third story, Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts, is about Hailey’s bad luck with the men she meets under the mistletoe & she’s determined not to end up under it again with her childhood crush, Carwyn, when she returns home for the holidays.
I really liked the narrator. She has a voice that just fits with the vibe of the stories. It feels like the perfect book to listen to to get in the Christmas spirit.
Thank you to NetGalley & Thomas Nelson for the advance copy.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
A very cute festive anthology audio. I really enjoyed the different writing and stories. Perfect for Christmas
This was so much fun! I loved all 3 short stories. They really get you in the holiday spirit. I would definitely recommend the audiobook. The Irish accent really added to the stories.
When it comes to Christmas books, there's nothing better than a captivating anthology. It offers the perfect bite-sized stories that check all the boxes without demanding too much time during the busy holiday season. I was thrilled to have the chance to listen to the audiobook version of this anthology, and it turned out to be a delightful way to dive into the festive reading season. I adore the Irish ☘️ character in book one and the Scottish character in book two.
Thanks for the arc, @NetGalley!
This is my favorite kind of holiday book! Three stories by three great authors. I loved the narration so much (the accents?!) and each story was paced just right. Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts, Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller and The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham were full of holiday cheer, mistletoe, cozy romance and heart-happy endings. Highly recommend!
Mistletoe Season
This has 3 authors. Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller, & Pepper Basham. I was fortunate enough to listen to the audiobook, which as you know – is my preference lately. Life gets too hectic & before I know it, I have no time for reading. Which, is why I appreciate audiobooks. It’s like having someone read to me while I go about my day. It’s fantastic.
“Say No to Mistletoe” by Sheila Roberts
Kryptonite. We all have our own, it doesn’t belong solely to Superman. I know I have mine. In this story, Hailey Fairchild’s kryptonite is mistletoe. Every time she has kissed someone under the mistletoe it has led to disaster. To top it off, Hailey is a romance writer.
Could you imagine? Mistletoe being the downfall to your lucky streak? Mistletoe being part of every breakup? Yikes.
When Hailey Fairchild was in high school, she was the quintessential gawky girl who was attracted to her neighbor, Carwyn Davies. Of course, Carwin Davies is the star of the basketball team, hunky boy next door type. When he kisses Hailey under the mistletoe it was anything but a dream come true. It was mortifying. A moment that stays with Hailey.
Flash forward. Hailey is about to return to her hometown for the holidays, unengaged, single, & determined to keep her head down to get through the holidays & return home. To her apartment in New York.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller
When you live in Mistletoe, Missouri – you will either despise everything Christmas or you will embrace it completely. Emmy Banks loves Christmas.
Kieran O’Neill is from Mistletoe, Missouri as well. He has spent many years abroad in Ireland. He’s been spending his time renovating an old Irish castle. He only returns home to Mistletoe for his mother’s surprise 70th birthday party.
Emmy is Kieran’s sister’s best friend; childhood besties are the best. I speak from experience. The only thing is, Emmy has always had a crush on Kieran. While in town Kieran reconnects with Emmy & helps her decorate her antique store in time for the holiday season.
I love this tag line – “When the weather turns colder, things start to warm up between Emmy and Kieran.”
Come ‘on! How could anyone possibly NOT like that tag line? It’s straight out of every Hallmark lover’s dreams. Fine. How about this one? “But can Emmy risk her heart when she knows he’ll never stay in Mistletoe, and she will never leave?”
The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
I married my prince charming & we lived happily ever after. I love me a good royalty falling in love with someone without clout. Even, someone from another country with an embarrassing family history. Enough about me & my preferences.
Prince Arran St. Clare acted out of character for any royal & for his punishment, is sent to live in Ransom, North Caroline for three months. Attempting to prove to his parents, King & Queen, that he is ready for a royal life, Arran must engage in a community fundraiser. Luckily for Arran, his sister lives in Ransom & has volunteered him to assist in the Christmas charity fundraiser; The Mistletoe Wish.
Learning quickly that his royal pedigree isn’t worth much in North Carolina, Arran learns that kindness, authenticity, & hard work are the traits he will be flexing. While helping with the planning & preparation of the charity event, he meets Charlie.
Charlie, having been raised by her single dad, is a tom boy. She can hang with the best of them & work construction alongside the guys. She’s not only beautiful, but she’s also intelligent. Only thing is, she lacks self esteem & cannot see her worth.
“Some mistletoe, and a little Christmas magic and it all might be enough to help the rebel-prince understand what truly matters most.”
The 3 of these novellas were perfect. I’m already wishing it’d snow. When snow falls, I know the holiday season is upon us. I love nothing more than drinking warm coffee or hot chocolate while watching romance movies come to life. That’s what happened with these. I could see them playing in my mind like a movie.
What a delightful collection of Christmas romances! I most highly recommend Mistletoe Season!
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller: This story was very cute! I’m a sucker for a hero with an Irish accent so of course I LOVED Liam! I also really liked Emmy and I thought it was cool that she runs an antique shop. I loved the adoption rep in this story. Sweet story with all the Hallmark movie feels!
A Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham: Oh my stars! Pepper Basham is one of my auto-read authors, I’ve been eagerly anticipating this novella ever since I first heard she was writing it, and boy did it sweep me off my fairytale loving feet! Charlotte and Arran’s story was an absolute joy to read, it put a huge smile on my face and filled my heart with all the best Christmas warm fuzzies! I loved, loved, LOVED every single moment of A Mistletoe Prince! It’s by far my favorite novella in this collection!
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts: This was only my second read from this author but it most definitely will not be my last! This sweet story made me smile. I loved that Hailey is a romance author. And her and Carwyn’s romance was lovely! I also loved that this one was written in first person POV (my personal fave!) All in all this is a charming Christmas story.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the authors and publisher.
My review was not influenced in any way. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.
Mistletoe Season is a delightful set of 3 Christmas novellas! I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook which brought the characters to life! The narration was great but the accents were the best! I would highly recommend this book!
Return to Mistletoe is an amazingly romantic novella! I absolutely loved it!Emmy is owner to a Christmas shop. Kieran has left his hometown and never looked back. The two bump into each other and old feelings ignite. This novella was so romantic and sweet. The chemistry between these two was perfect! I adored Kieran and his Irish accent!
A Mistletoe Prince
Prince Arran leaves his royal life to volunteer in a charity fundraiser in a small town. His bad boy reputation as well as his striking accent makes for a wonderful story! This one had many humorous moments between him and Charlotte as their romance grows.
Say No To Mistletoe
Hailey has had some bad experiences after being under mistletoe. She vows this holiday season to avoid it! But then enters her childhood neighbour who once kissed her under mistletoe. This was a cute novella!
Three stories. An enchanting female voice that narrated them and made them play in my mind like Hallmark Christmas movies, with a dash of Scottish accent.
I loved these three romances. Definitely a perfect choice for the holiday season. They stir the magic of love and warmth.
Thank you Netgalley for this arc.
A collection of three stories by different authors. Pepper Basham was the standout author for me. I loved the newest addition to her Skymar series which could be read without reading the others (although I do highly recommend reading them). I loved the characters and the growth they showed over the course of the book. I would buy this book happily for that story I would buy this book happily for that story and my rating reflects that rather than all 3 stories.
I did not gel as well with the other authors I'm afraid. I think this is because I didn't relate to the characters/stories. I know these authors are popular and that the other stories will appeal to their readers, just not me.
Specific to the audio book version: The narrator was clear so you could understand every word. I dislike hearing one narrator does all of voices. It generally takes me away from the story. However, if this is not a pet peeve for you, you should be fine.
I receive complimentary books for various sources including, Netgalley, Authors, and other such sources. I am not required to write a positive review and have not received compensation
This is a sweet collection of novellas highlighting mistletoe. It’s magic and the fear. Or even if the town is called Mistletoe. Each story has a sweet closed door romance, faith building and searching for a love that is true and lasts.
🎄
The audiobook was so fun and festive and the narration was perfect handling a few accents! 👏🏻
🎄
These are all new-to-me authors and I’ve already looked them up on Goodreads to see their backlist.
🎄
“Return to Mistletoe” by Kathleen Fuller had a perfectly cozy small town romance with second chance.
🎄
“The Mistletoe Princess” by Pepper Basham has the best worst meet cute and I couldn’t put it down. It was so charming, I’m a sucker for royal tropes. I definitely need to read her books! ***Looks like her Skymar series is connected but can be read as a stand alone.
🎄
“Say No To Mistletoe” by Sheila Roberts captured my attention by all her PNW references 😍 As someone who grew up and lives in WA - I loved hearing about Cascade this and Cascade that. And thankfully most people grow and mature since high school. 😅
🎄
Thank you to the publisher Thomas Nelson and Net Galley for the alc. This book is available and I encourage you to pick it up if you love Hallmark-type Christmas romances. These are my own thoughts and opinions.
This is a cute and seasonal trio of love stories. Perfect for anyone who enjoy Christmas and lots of kissing on page.
I appreciated that A Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller focused on a middle aged couple.
A Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham contained a story connected to her Skymar series, super sweet.
Say No to Mistletoe provides the opportunity to redo a childhood romance.
The narrator was Incredible!! She smoothly and effectively voices male and female voices and adds in a variety of accent perfectly!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. Is the novel is comprised of 3 lovely holidays stories. Pepper's was my favorite and could have read a whole book about that story.
I love Christmas anthologies! You can read (or listen) to a story in a few hours and get all the feel-good warm fuzzies that a longer book can give. I was also excited to see that Tanya Eby narrates the three stories in Mistletoe Season. I've heard her before, most notably in Robyn Carr's books, so I knew I would enjoy listening. Throw in three can't miss authors, and this book wins all around.
Kathleen Fuller kicks things off with Return to Mistletoe. Emmy Banks has a pretty good life in Mistletoe, Missouri. It's fortunate she lives in a town where Christmas is HUGE because it's her favorite of all the holidays. She runs the local antique shop and is raising her daughter alone. Kieran O'Neill has spent so many years living abroad that he's gained an Irish lilt to his voice, so when he first walks into Emmy's shop, she doesn't recognize her first crush. Kieran is home to celebrate his mother's 70th birthday and he expects it to be a short stay. Spending time with Emmy, Kieran starts to see a future with her by his side, but can he really live in the town where grief for the loss of his father hits him at every turn?
Pepper Basham is up next with The Mistletoe Prince. This story ties into her Skymar series, with Luke Edgewood of Loyally, Luke making frequent appearances. Prince Arran St. Clare went "off the rails" when the woman he loved chose someone else. As "punishment" he is sent to live three months in Ransom, North Carolina, where no one cares about his royal status. To prove he's ready for royal reinstatement, he must participate in planning the Mistletoe Wish charity fundraiser. Add in a beautiful, intelligent, adventurous woman who doesn't see her own worth, and sprinkle everything with Christmas magic, and both Arran and Charlie (Charlotte) come away changed.
Sheila Roberts winds things up with Say No to Mistletoe. Mistletoe has been Hailey Fairchild's downfall ever since Carwyn Davies kissed her on a dare. She was a gawky, awe-struck freshman to his "too cool for school" senior athlete status so learning he'd done it because someone dared him to humiliated her. Ever since, kisses under the mistletoe have led to her romances imploding. She left town for college and never went back, except for short visits. Now that mistletoe has once again struck her love life resulting in a broken engagement, she's going home for the holidays. She's determined to avoid the ever present mistletoe - especially since Carwyn also seems to be ever present. Can Carwyn help her see that their long-ago mistletoe kiss wasn't the colossal mistake she always thought it was?
Each of these authors knows how to tug the heart strings and sprinkle in enough giggles to keep things light. I loved this whole book, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get into the Christmas spirit.
I thought each of these stories were so unique and stayed with me! I really enjoyed the narrator for each story! The characters of each story were so well fleshed out and it was fun to dive into their journeys to find love at Christmastime! Truly enjoyable listen!
Thanks to NetGalley and the authors for letting me enjoy their work! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
All three of these novellas held humor and a Christmas story you won't want to miss. All three held a strong message that made this collection one of the most meaningful ones I've read.
I thought this was a delightful Christmas novel that was like being wrapped up in a warm blanket and watching the Hallmark Channel. I enjoyed the three different stories and I thought all of them were wonderful reads,
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this book in exchange for my honest review!
This was so cute! Loved all the different stories. Perfect for the Christmas season and will get you into the Christmas spirit. If you are looking for a collection of Christmas romance to get you ready to celebrate definitely read this one!
I absolutely loved this book! A great book to begin the holiday season! Sheila Roberts is my favorite!
I have long associated the Christmas read with Sheila Roberts and look forward to a new one each year, but I was not acquainted with the other two contributors to this holiday anthology. Roberts's story was true to form....festive and fun, and the other two stories, by Fuller and Basham, did not disappoint. I always love my Christmas novels, but this format was a pleasant addition...three short stories/novellas in one fell swoop!! Kick off your holiday season in high fashion and give these three authors a read....under the mistletoe!!!! Happy Holidays!!
I recently finished listening to Mistletoe Season, a delightful anthology featuring stories by Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller, and Pepper Basham. This audiobook is the perfect companion for the holiday season, wrapping you in warmth and festive cheer.
Narration: The narrators did an exceptional job bringing each story to life. Their voices were engaging and perfectly matched the tone of the narratives, making it easy to get lost in the characters' worlds. The pacing was just right, allowing me to savor the moments without feeling rushed.
Stories: Each author brings a unique flavor to the collection. Sheila Roberts’ story is filled with heartwarming moments and a touch of humor, while Kathleen Fuller’s tale dives into the beauty of love and community during the holidays. Pepper Basham adds a sprinkle of whimsy and romance that left me smiling. The intertwining themes of love, family, and the magic of the season made for a cozy listening experience.
Themes: What I loved most was how each story captured the essence of the holidays—whether it was through the joy of giving, the importance of family, or the magic of unexpected love. It reminded me of the little things that make the season special.
Overall Experience: Listening to Mistletoe Season felt like curling up with a warm cup of cocoa by the fire. It’s a perfect audiobook for anyone looking to get into the holiday spirit.
