These stories were super cute and definitely got me excited for the Christmas season. Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller was definitely my favorite but I loved listening to the others as well. lol clean, heartwarming romances. I love when Tanya Eby narrates. She does an amazing job with female and male voices. Huge thanks to Harpercollins and Netgalley for allowing me to listen and review these wonderful stories.
A collection of three brand new holiday kissing only romance novellas set in small towns. My favorite by far was the second story by Pepper Basham that's set in the Skymar universe and sees a tomboy carpenter falling for a royal prince. Lots of content about learning to love oneself and being worthy of love just as you are. The final story also follows those themes as an introverted NYC romance writer returns home for Christmas and falls for her high school crush.
3.75 stars. This was hard to rate because some stories ranked higher than other. Thanks to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Publishing for this ARC. I was initially interested in this because I love Pepper Basham, but I actually really enjoyed the story by Sheila Roberts too! The first story, Return to Mistletoe, by Kathleen Fuller, was my least favorite. I haven't read anything by her before (and sadly, I doubt I will), but I've added a few things to my TBR by Shelia Roberts because I really liked her novella. These were super sweet quick stories about Christmas (talk about getting me in the holiday spirit when it's still 90 degrees outside!). I loved that Pepper Basham's royal novella continued on with the Edgewood family! So fun!
The only problem with a novella collection is that each book ends too soon! I was loving these characters and their love stories, which made me ready for Christmas - in September ha!
I know some of the characters in Pepper Basham's "A Mistletoe Prince" are mentioned in her Edgewood family trilogy. Now I am curious if we learn more about any characters in "Return to Mistletoe" by Kathleen Fuller or "Say No to Mistletoe" by Sheila Roberts in their other novels?!
The audiobook is amazing due to some characters having accents!
I received an advanced copy from NetGalley. Opinions are my own.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller ~ 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Set in Mistletoe, Missouri -- how could I resist? The story was sweet and the big gesture moment was touching. Just not my favorite.
The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham ~ 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
All the stars for this story with crossover characters from the latest contemporary title by Basham: Loyally, Luke. Can a rogue prince find his way by helping Luke's cousin Charity with her Mistletoe Wish Fundraiser. There is a moment when Prince Arran of Skymar grants a wish for two little North Carolina girls. So sweet!
Say No To Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts ~🌟🌟🌟🌟
Romance author Hailey Fairchild has a long and complicated history with mistletoe. Her first mistletoe fail was with the unattainable Carwyn. Many years and several mistletoe disasters later, Hailey is back home in Cascade for the holidays. Can she find the happy ever after from her books at last? Really love Sheila Roberts' sense of humor. Just read her holiday titles The Merry Matchmaker and really liked it.
Thank you to Harper Collins Christian Publishing and NetGalley for a DRC in exchange for an honest review.
It's best to start with what this book is not. It's not a pulse-pounding, emotionally charged, toe-curling, edge of your seat book of romance stories. But then again, it's not supposed to be. What this book is, however, is a pack of 3 lighthearted, easy-to-read short romances set at Christmas time. It's almost like a Hallmark movie in book form. Each of the three stories features a closed-door romance, only a small amount of kissing and nothing else, between a likable hero and heroine that all end with happily ever afters. In addition to the Christmas, specifically mistletoe, theme; they also all share the idea of long-distances relationships or of one person needing to change their life to make things work. It's just gentle, feel-good fun. If you're looking for intricate plots with lots of character development, this isn't it; but if you want a quick holiday read with a little bit of faith elements thrown in, this is for you.
This book is an adorable collection of holiday romances and will put anyone in the Christmas spirit! All these short stories are sweet and clean.
The first story was Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller is a second chance romance that will warm your heart! The relationship between Emmy and Kieran was so sweet and I really enjoyed all the Irish culture mixed in. The narrator did an amazing Irish accent for Kieran!
The second story was The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham and I was so excited that this book brought back to Luke and Ellie from Loyally Luke! This was my favorite of all three of the books. I really liked the story line of Prince Arran helping Luke’s cousin, Charlie, with the Mistletoe Wish Christmas charity fundraiser. I loved how Prince Arran and Charlie were able to help each other find their own confidences. I would love more stories about these two!
The third and final story was Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts is a hilarious brother’s best friend romance. This story was so quirky and fun that I was laughing out loud throughout it. I found Hailey Fairchild’s character to be hilarious and her hometown crush Carwyn to be swoon worthy!
Overall, I loved all three of these books and the narrator did a fantastic job bringing all three books to life!
Mistletoe Season
by Sheila Robers, Kathleen Fuller, and Pepper Basham
narrated by Tanya Eby
Five Stars Xs Three
I loved all three of these sweet Christmas short stories!
Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller, and Pepper Basham have put together a wonderful trifecta of Christmas short stories.
Hailey and Carwyn are so stinking adorable! Brothers' best friend.
Emmy and Kieran are so sweet. Kieran with his Irish accent after spending decades in Ireland renovating an old Irish castle is swoony. Best friends' older brother.
Prince Arran and Charlie were so much fun! Who doesn't love a naughty prince on the path to reform? Cousin's brother-in-law.
Thank you to NetGalley, HarperCollins Christian Publishing, and the authors for the opportunity to listen to and review these stories. I enjoyed all three!

Thank you NetGalley and HarperCollins Christian Publishing for the ARC of this audiobook for my honest review
It was a sweet collection of romances , my favorite being the prince and carpenter story. They were short so they fell in love pretty fast but it also meant that the third act that always bothers me in a romance was minuscule. I think these story’s are great if you need a simple romance pick me up for November - December
I'll be publishing my review on Goodreads and StoryGraph 15th October and on Tik tok most likely will add to a monthly wrap up post with review the beginning of November.
Is it ever too early for a Christmas audiobook? In this case…….definitely. The first story had all the elements for a cheesy Christmas romance but the narrator and her “Irish accent” had me cringing for all the wrong reasons. I attempted the second story but when the accents started up again I was done.
This audiobook was the perfect cute and cozy romance for Christmas! I really enjoyed it. The mini stories were adorable and heartwarming. The narrators were awesome and the performance was great. This is going to be perfect for once Christmas season hits! Overall really enjoyed this and highly reccomend.
I alternated between the video version of this book and the e-book version. The narration of the audio was done by Tonya Ebby. The narration was great with easy distinction between the male and female characters.
This was an anthology of three Christmas stories. The stories were Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller, The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham, and Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts. My favorite was the story by Sheila Roberts. It is about a romance writer who is having no luck with any romance for herself. She believes that from past experiences, mistletoe is a bad thing. It may take an old flame from her hometown to prove her theory wrong.
Thanks to Harper Collins Christian Publishing and NetGalley for the copies of this book. All thoughts are my own.
Cute novellas to get you in the Christmas spirit without smacking you over the head with it. Great listen if you love Hallmark Christmas movies. One narrator for all three, but she did a great job not making it feel flat.
Return to Mistletoe follows Emmy as she tries to make ends meet as a small business owner. Started great, felt a bit rushed toward the end, but was still sweet.
A Mistletoe Prince follows Charlotte as she looks for her own happily ever after. This story had much better pacing and good character development.
Say No to Mistletoe follows Haley who looks to write her own happy ending. Agains much better pacing for a novella and like able characters.
Three short stories in one beautiful book. I loved this holiday collection. You'll not want to miss this one.
Many thanks to Net Galley and HarperCollins Christian Publishing for an audio ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
My thanks for the audio ARC goes to NetGalley and HarperCollins Christian Publishing, Thomas Nelson Fiction. I'm voluntarily leaving a review.
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Christmas Romance, Sweet Romance, Christian Fiction
Spice Level: Kissing
Format: Anthology with 3 stories by 3 different authors
Christian Aspects: Subtle with short/occasional expressions of faith
MISTLETOE SEASON is a lot of fun. I'd read books by Pepper Basham before, but I haven't read anything by Sheila Roberts or Kathleen Fuller (they are now on my list to buy from as well as Basham).
Sheila Roberts
A second-chance romance where a kiss under the mistletoe led to disaster, and now this unengaged woman must return to her hometown and face her worst memories from high school. She's determined to skip out on any interactions with the boy who kissed her. Oops! That's not possible.
Kathleen Fuller
A second-chance romance with a man returning home from his stint in Ireland—where he gained an accent but not a wife. This was heart-warming as the two main characters cracked open their hearts after having experienced disappointment. I loved how the people in their lives are rooting for them to find happiness.
Pepper Basham
A royal romance, where a prince is off to the American South to figure out and reclaim his life after a disastrous break up. This one made me laugh so much as the two main characters work through a horrible first impression. Rediscovering yourself is part of the theme in this story, and it feels like something everyone can relate to.
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have.
Happy reading!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Mistletoe Season is a collection of 3 Christmas short stories by Shelia Roberts, Kathleen Fuller, and Pepper Basham. I would rate them 3 stars. The books have the feeling of a Hallmark Christmas Movie. They were okay stories, not my favorites. They took a little bit to get into.
Arc review 📖
3 short stories audio book arc
Did I like it? ….. it was just ok unfortunately.
I normally zoom through audio books I listen to them while so house work, shopping, if I don’t have a book in my hand then I have my headphones on.
I live short stories because it normally takes less concentration and I can get on with my day and still follow a story. These short stories just didn’t hit right.
Thanks netgalley and HarperCollins Christian Publishing for the arc in exchange for a review

Return to Mistletoe
Who doesn’t love a second chance at love? Emmy has a huge passion of Christmas so when her first love returns home for his mother’s birthday, she doesn’t think it is in the cards for reconnecting…
But fate might have other plans.
I very much liked this story.
3⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Mistletoe Prince
I enjoyed this couple and how she teaches the prince that not everyone gets the HEA childhood but just maybe with the help of your community you can have what everyone else gets.
It’s a sweet story and I highly recommend giving it a listen because you will swoon for the prince and want to be his Princess.
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Say No to Mistletoe
I loved the writing style of this author. It is the first for me by this author as well and I was just grabbed by the story. The story and the connection to the past and how it becomes the present it almost seamless. I was rooting for this couple right from the very beginning. I want and need more from this author.
Great short stories.
Though I am not a fan of the narrator myself she gave all the characters a voice and I appreciate that.
These are fun holiday stories. Loved the format. Great short stories. Will read more from these authors.
Mistletoe Season is a collection of three short Christmas-themed stories. I love short stories and I love Christmas-themed books so I thought this was going to be a homerun for me. Unfortunately, I felt all three stories fell a little flat. All three were well written but I felt they needed more time to fully develop. As a flushed-out standalone I think all three could have worked but as a short story, they just seemed to end too quickly before I could get fully attached to the characters.
If I had to take my pick of which one was my favorite that would be Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts. I loved the idea of a Christmas tradition such as mistletoe being something that is a jinx for the main character. Her bad luck started under the mistletoe and I was hoping to see her luck change.
If you love short stories then definitely check out Mistletoe Season this holiday season.
