Nora Roberts does it again! I was absolutely enthralled with Sloan’s story. Getting to follow her along as she got her life back. Her Relationship with Nash was sweet, and perfectly paced. And the twist with Clara and Sam’s “mission” was good!

Nora Roberts once again proves why she’s a master of suspenseful romance with Hidden Nature! This fast-paced, multilayered novel kept me hooked from the very first page—I flew through it in just a couple of days because I simply couldn’t put it down. In true Roberts fashion, the twists and turns kept me hooked until the very end—love that! If you enjoy gripping stories with depth, intrigue with well-developed characters, Hidden Nature is an absolute must-read. A solid 5-star novel that I can’t recommend enough!

Tank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the opportunity to read Hidden Nature by Nora Roberts. What could possibly be better than the newest Nora Roberts?!?!.

Nora is my og romance queen so I obvs had to read this one but I’m a little sad I didn’t love it. It’s good, I just struggled to relate to the FMC. I’m all about a strong resilient FMC but she was a little too logical and careful for my taste lol. But that is totally a me thing and I’m sure others will love her!
The villains were something else, if you like a character who has twisted religion in their minds with more than a touch of mental instability you will love these guys. They’re sections felt a bit like when you get to se what the unsub is up to in Criminal Minds.
I did really enjoy the ending. I won’t spoil anything but I loved the way Nora didn’t take the standard route. It was probably my favorite part of the whole book.

I have been reading Nora Roberts since I was 18 and she never disappoints. Her romantic suspense is my favorite and this book was no exception. Most of this book was focused on the mystery, but did have a romance in it. Highly recommend.

Hidden Nature is a standalone novel written by Nora Roberts.
Sloan is a Department of Natural Resources officer and finds herself getting injured and almost losing her life. While recovering at her parent’s house she meets her new neighbors and decides to tackle a home renovation project with the oldest brother.
This is the first Nora Roberts book I have read in many years and I found it almost too detailed and boring. You know from the very beginning who the “bad guys” are and why they are committing the crimes they are, they are very disturbed people.
I miss the early works of Ms. Roberts where she was publishing series like Three Sisters Island, In The Garden, and The Key Trilogy.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to read and review this title.
Format: NetGalley ebook
Genre: Contemporary fiction, Romance
Overall score:⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice level:🌶️🌶️
Characters: Sloan (FMC) & Nash (MMC)

Hidden Nature by Nora Roberts is the best kind of romantic suspense with her trademark excellence with dialogue, setting, character development and storyline. The gradual growth of love between Sloan and Nash, Drea and Theo's quick romance, and the Cooper family loving relationships more than balance out the dark of the killers. The setting is so real you feel like you’re there. A highly enjoyable read!
Thanks to St Martin's Press and NetGalley for the advance copy.

I'm reasonably sure this is my first Nora Roberts, though i admit to tearing through the J.D. Robb books in a manic frenzy. I expected there to be a bigger difference in the writing style or overall structure, but, not so. There is a huge uptick in home improvement discussion, which i would say is weird except that, for all my decades of life I just purchased my 2nd brand new appliance and it is ALL I WANT TO TALK ABOUT, so that maybe makes sense, in a way.

Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for allowing me to read and review this book.
I very much enjoyed this book. The writing was great and the characters were well developed. I hope to read more from this author in the future.

Now this is a romantic suspense you'll love! This is one of my favorite Nora Roberts books. If you love her older books, you'll enjoy this!

This was my first Nora Roberts book and it won't be my last. The story was paced great and the writing really held your attention by giving you just a little bit of a time and then event dumping at the end. Loved every second of it.

I am a Nora Robert’s STAN and I was wonderfully written as they all are. I loved the dark suspense romantic aspect of this one. We follow Sloan who is a a law enforcement officer and she is injured and while she’s recovering from her injures a woman goes missing and they seem to be linked to other cases that have occurred.
We follow her and she connects them all together and what they all have in common to each other. I loved the flow of this book and it read smoothly. If you are a fan of Robert’s OR if you love a good romantic suspense, this will be for you! LOVED EVERY BIT OF IT!
Huge thank you to our Author, NetGalley as well St. Martins Press

I really enjoyed this book. I'm a big fan of both Nora Roberts romantic suspense standalone and the JD Robb In Death series. This book really felt like a marriage of both types of books written by the author.
Sloan Cooper is a police officer who is shot at the beginning of the book. She is saved by the doctors and is able to continue living her life. She moves back to her hometown and meets new neighbor Nash. As all romance novels do, Sloan and Nash build a relationship... though it's intriguing since her sister and his brother build a relationship at the same time.
As for being an officer, a missing person case calls to her while she's healing. She can't let it go and on her off hours keeps digging. Like the In Death series, she shares her theories and thoughts with the love interest over dinner often.
I really enjoyed the ride. It felt mildly predictable, but that could also be because I've read everything written by this author and know what to expect from her books.

A reader can always count on a Nora Roberts novel for great storytelling, and Hidden Nature is no exception. There is suspense, romance, and a healthy amount of family relationships in all their complexity.
Sloan Cooper is an officer for the Natural Resources Police in Maryland. I knew nothing about this agency, but Roberts does a great job showing what they do. After she interrupts a holdup, she is severely wounded and goes back to her family’s home in a different part of the state to recuperate. Her family’s business is vacation rentals. Also, in the same area, two brothers who become love interests for the Cooper sisters have relocated to start a construction business. While Sloan recuperates and tries out for a promotion for the NRP an ear her family, she connects whaat appears to be an unrelated series of missing persons. This quest provides the suspense to the novel.
To be honest, I enjoyed the descriptions of house remodeling, romantic relationships, and family dynamics more than the downright creepy abduction perpetrators. Still, this is another riveting novel from Roberts.

This books grabs your attention at the very first sentence. The story is about a young women and her career at a Natural Resources Police. This story keeps you interested in what is coming next. A very enjoyable read.

Nora Roberts has outdone herself - again. This was a riveting story. I absolutely could not put it down. The main character is Sloan Cooper, a Natural Resources police officer. After she is shot in the line of duty, she moves back to her home town with her parents to begin a long recovery. During this time several people go missing under circumstances that don’t quite mesh for her. As she looks into the cases on her own, she finds more incidents that trip her radar.
I can promise you this book is well worth your time.

I am a big fan of Nora Roberts and read book that she writes. Hidden Nature is a good book. You are taken for a journey with the book, but I wasn't totally pulled in by the characters. I liked them, but I wasn't totally invested. When the story jumped back and forth between the antagonists and protagonists, it felt disjointed. That being said, it only took me 3 days to finish the book.

You're never going to find me being a Nora Roberts hater, so look elsewhere for the critical take. I love these standalone releases that come out as a Nora read but are really just a JD Robb in disguise. They always hit and the fact that you know there's going to be a big third act moment alongside a happy ending just feels good every time.
In this particular story, I loved the family element – it reminded me a lot of one of my all time favorite Nora standalones, [book:The Villa|85491] – and I really loved Sloan's character development throughout. Also Nash and Theo are cuuuuuties, we love a good family story. I would've loved to see a dash of interaction with their parents and Sloan, but I also understand why it would've been left out.
Overall, one of my favorite of her recent standalones! Solid 4.5.

I really enjoyed this book about Sloane and Nash. I wish the story were more centered around there, I feel like the secondary plot line about the siblings took away from the story a bit. Because of that I am giving four stars, overall great, though!

I love Nora Roberts this book follows Sloan through an injury and healing with the natural resource police. It has multiple layers going on in true Nora Roberts fashion. Maybe a little slower than some of the others I've read but very getu enjoyable.
