Thank you IOG / Triumph and Netgalley for an ARC in return of my honest review.
Aaron Leventhal is a former professional soccer player, and has worked in the fitness space both as a Physical trainer and on the corporate side of a
Anytime Fitness, so he has the experience, knowledge and passion to understand what works.
He explains how in our 40’s and beyond we need new tools to move through our ageing process with strength and grace. What used to work for us now doesn’t and we need to come to an individual understanding of what our body needs.
This was a really energising, motivating book for me. It provided me with knowledge in an empowering way, making me actually want to go to the gym and get serious in my fitness journey, it provided me with a deeper understanding in why our bodies respond differently and gave information in a concise yet compassionate manner.
This is one of a number of books to have emerged in this space, yet this one is perfect for someone who needs the compassionate nudge, and an informative yet easy, relatable read without getting really bogged down. I highly recommend it,
Thank you for this ARC.
Aaron Leventhal provides suggestions on changing your fitness routine to jump start weight loss and/or build muscle which is especially important as we age. The case studies were interesting and there were nuggets of information I found helpful.
