I liked that the author provided different meal plans for different types of dietary needs and gave recipes for the meals included. My only wish is that she provided more variety in her meals.
Such a great and practical cookbook! It is very visually appealing and I love the way it is organized. The meal plans accommodating several different diets is great. The instructions are clear and concise. I really appreciate the inclusion of extra tips and suggestions.
3* - generally enjoyable.
I recommend this for meal prep beginners to intermediate, as the book steps you through what meal prep is and how to do it, but also has some interesting recipes if you are looking for some variety or inspiration. There are sample meal plans with complete order of operation for how to make all of the meals in one session, which I loved.
ARC copy received via netgalley, thank you to the publisher.
I really loved this book! I loved that the author included meal plans for a variety of different diets and plans, and then provided all the recipes in the book as well. For anyone like me who struggles to meal plan or cook - this book is going to be a godsend!
I liked the variety of vegetarian and vegan recipes within this book. This was refreshing as even though vegetarian food/recipes are easier to access nowadays most recipes I have read elsewhere don't offer much variety.
I appreciate that they recipes also tell you how long they can be stored in the freezer and how to cook them once they have been frozen. The recipes also sound quite healthy and that you're not having to 'eat rubbish' for the sake of convenience.
Really liked the aesthetic of the book and the pictures are making me salivating.
The book is really well though with prep meal with different diet in mind which i really appreciated. I also really liked how the book was separated by type of food with the full recipe and not just per week. Also really thoughful to add the dip and condiment recipe.
Really excited to try some of the recipes and to meal prep according to this book!
This book is so aesthetically pleasing I love the neutral colours and it has a perfect layout. The pictures are lovely too
There are instructions on how to meal prep which are informative and easy to follow and it follows with lovely recipes that I can't wait to try!
As someone who's just started to care for themselves and cook on their own, I'm glad I found this at the right time. Finding time to cook healthy meals is a difficult task, and the idea of meal prepping might just help me manage. The steps are comprehensively explained, and I like that the author put gram measurements as well. On top of that, as a vegetarian, I appreciate the various veggie recipes and am excited to try a few of them out soon! The dips/dressing/sauces section is also very helpful (especially for people like me, who love a good dressing or dip but never quite know how to make them) and enables a lot of possibilities to enhance meals! I also want to add that I like the design, it's intelligible and simple, displaying what you need to know.
I'll absolutely recommend this to any of my newly adult friends struggling to maintain a healthy diet because they just can't find the time to cook, and I'll definitely make zucchini noodles soon.
Nice book. Lots of great ideas. I know I’ll be making some of these recipes. Lots of useful info. This book would make an excellent gift.
Easy Meal Prep features straightforward steps to make meal prep easier, plus a good range of different recipes suitable for different diets. All in a sleek style with mouthwateringly pretty pictures.
What I, as someone who already meal preps. mostly enjoyed were the “pro prep tips” included in some of the recipes, and the instructions on how and how long to store the prepped food.
This book is well suited to beginners to meal prepping. It has all the info you need to get started. It is especially valuable to those with different dietary restrictions.
While the dietary restrictions are evident in the various meal prep plans, it would be good if you could see at a glance if a recipe is high-protein, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, or low-carb on the recipe's page itself and possibly in the index. This could be easily achieved with colour coding or small icons.
This is a good guide for people who are just starting out in the world of meal prep. I don't know that there is a lot here for people who have already done much cooking. This is a book where it is going to be important to put this in the hands of the correct audience.
It has some basic stuff inside but nothing that you can’t easily find on the internet. Was expecting a little bit of a different approach.
Amazing meal prep book. It gives you info on best containers to use, tasty recipes, and different dietary needs. It has everything from breakfast to snacks. I recommend this book as a great intro to meal prepping or for seasoned preppers.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book.
In the past two years, I have become even more comfortable in the kitchen, but haven't elevated my game to meal prepping. I loved how this book was laid out to talk through the basics of meal prepping and how to put in a few good hours to help save time throughout the week. Then to include recipes where these meal prep tips can be put into place was so great. This is a book that I am glad I got to read and review ahead of time, but hope to add to my kitchen library for easy reference.
Great intro into meal planning. Would like to have seen more swap-ability, diversity, and bento box style planning. Fine for eaters with no dietary restrictions.
As someone new to mealprep, I'm thankful for this book!!! Healthy, balanced meals (even breakfast and desserts!!!), with easy step by step and good tips for managing It all. Meal prep made easy!!
As someone who meal preps lunches for the week, I was looking forward to reading the recipes in this book. The breakfast recipes and dessert recipes are definitely recipes that I can see using for meal prep, but the main course recipes are tougher for that purpose. I try to avoid any fish in meal prep. I would have enjoyed more things like soups, salads, or pasta dishes.
This is a must have for your recipe collections. It is filled with so many great tips and advice to make meal prep easy, simple and also yummy.
I really appreciated the layout of this book, including the cohesive meal plan per dietary preference at the start of the book. The visual of the meals all mapped out made this really easy to digest and then swap in some different recipes that made more sense for me.
The snacks and sides section was my personal favorite!
So many great recipes! I wish this book had more ideas in the actual prep process as that’s what I struggle with! It does give you an idea of what kind of Tupperware you’ll want/need which is great.
