Every day is different, and should be appreciated. This book helps remind one to do so.

I voluntarily read a digital copy of this book from Netgalley for an honest review.
This book captivated me. The pictures are breathtaking. Stunning.
The poems attached to the pictures add weight to the gorgeous photos.
I love the idea of trying to figure out which famous painter painted the sky each morning.

This book is a great coffee table book and also makes a great gift. I am sure that a physical copy of this book would do it more justice than the PDF FILE that I received. The pictures were not crisp at all but still give you an idea of what you will receive if you buy the physical copy.

This book is one that you should not read in a couple of days but rather over time to enjoy the beautiful imagery and the poetry and reflections.
The poems and reflections together with the photographs are inspiring and uplifting. If you are into mindfulness and meditation you will appreciate this book. If not, the photographs will leave you mesmerized and make you long for finding your own sunset or sunrise. This book will awaken you to the beauty of the our world that we do not notice due to the busy life we lead.
I strongly recommend this book. I wish the digital version would bring the photographs more to live,

I read this book from an iPad Pro using the Bleu Fire app as suggested by netgalley technical support.

Sunrise, Sunset: 52 Weeks of Awe and Gratitude by Kim Weiss is filled with BEAUTIFUL photographs of (you guessed it!) sunrises and sunsets, each paired with a personal writing from a variety of people as to what they think of when viewing sunrises and sunsets. Each describes how the sunrise/sunset reminds them of their place in the greater world and how they gain perspective and peace from these extraordinary events that occur each day, but which most of us take for granted and don't even think about.

This would make a wonderful gift or coffee table book. Well done!

Many thanks to NetGalley and HCI Books for allowing me the privilege of reading this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

This is a book of photos of sunsets and sunrises. The pictures are accompanied by passages, poetry, quotes, and meditations by different people.

The title of the book Sunrise, Sunset: 52 Weeks of Awe & Gratitude suggests that there is a passage for each week of the year.

The passages themselves are inspirational in nature and the book seems like it would make great coffee-book table.

Thanks to Netgalley, the author, and the publisher for granting a copy in exchange for an honest review

Stunning book of 52 sunrise/sunset photos. Also included are poetry, personal thoughts, gentle advice, and shirt stories from different inspirational authors. This book has a very calming effect whether you just look at the pictures or actually read it. The pictures are stunning. The book can give you a whole new outlook on each day and an end to each as well. Whether it has been a good day or bad. It basically helps you feel grateful for the lessons learned that day. That each day is beautiful in its own way as well as being a gift. At least this is my take on the book.

I received this book from the Author or Publisher via Netgalley.com to read and review.

A Florida woman with balcony views shoots the sunrise and sunset. Her boyfriend and then other people add poems or words to the photos. Simple premise, elegantly done.
Enjoyed the story of each sunset being done by a famous painter, trying to figure out which one it looked like. No surprise that one went first.
“I never met a sunset I didn’t like. It means dinner’s almost ready.” Nice.
As expected, there’s a lot of rebirth and “life goes on” with the sunrise, while sunset is an opportunity to reflect. Other themes include gratitude and, of course, religion.
I’m sure most people would find these photographs great. As a professional photographer for over 25 years, I could quibble about that, but what would be the point?
Yet despite the preeeety pictures I found myself getting bored halfway through. Don’t try to read/look at this in one sitting.
