This was such a sweet book of poems. It makes me think of when my kids were babies. This book will definitely be recommended to any parent. They will be able to relate to it so well. I would give to anyone who like sweet poetry.

This book is a true gem. This is hands down the best and most relatable poetry book about parenting I have ever read and I can’t wait to gift and recommend it to all my friends who have children.
It made me giggle all the way through the rollercoaster of emotions that was such an accurate representation of a parent’s life. I can’t recommend it enough.

Oh, my heart. I was in tears by the end of it. What a beautiful, funny, poignant, realistic look into life as a mother/parent. This resonated with me so much - especially trying to read this in bursts between playing with my 10 month old, changing his diaper, and putting him down for naps. Gorgeously illustrated, cannot wait for my physical copy to get here when it releases.

I have never related to a book more in my entire life. It’s as if all the minute troubles that I have experienced as a parent that I always feared no one understood were exposed as being actually quite normal. I seriously plan to get a copy of this for all of my parent friends.
While also being incredibly relatable, these poems were so real and such fun to read! I am reeling from how well they captured parenthood and I loved the humor so much.
I laughed out loud, I got emotional, and I got to relive all the best stages of my children’s early lives.
I feel like this would even be the perfect story to give to a friend or family member who may be expecting a child so that they not only get a little glimpse of what is in store for them, but also know ahead of time that they are not alone in their newfound emotions and struggles.
Lastly, the little sketches were so adorable and fit the poems perfectly.

so. many. bananas.
delightfully delirious poems from one tried parent for the next. i’d seem some of these online previously and jumped at the chance to read them in full. as a parent to two under four, these were so fun and comforting to read. the illustrations were charming and a great companion to the poems themselves. highly recommended if you’ve been through the baby days (and nights.)

This was such a cute book, it definitely brought tears to my eyes of both of joy and laughter. Loved it so much!

My husband and I loved this book! I have to say after a few laughs and a few tears, I feel seen as a parent.

I have been such a big fan of Loryn Brantz for YEARS so getting the opportunity to read this before it was published, it’s like a dream come true. The art is so cute and simple, the poems as well while also packing such a punch in some of them. As a mom reading this, all of it is so true. Most may question “why is she talking about snacks…. AGAIN?” Well because having a tiny gremlin demand snacks 24/7 is accurate.

If you’re a parent, especially a parent of toddlers, these poems are sure to make you smile. “Like a moth to a flame, baby hand to my cup” was a favorite of mine. The illustrations were fun and whimsical. This would be a great gift for new parents with a sense of humor. Thank you to William Morrow/Harper Collin’s and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

I found so of the poems to be very basic. I think it would be good to give as a fun gift to a new parent, but it's not a very interesting read, or especially funny.

Grant's poems brought me right back two the early years of parenting. The days when I was so hopeful and so full of ideas on how to help raise the perfect child. Of course, none of this notions were very practical but I didn't know that. Looking at tiny feet and shining eyes, I just new my kids was special. Right up until the Terrible Twos and Tiny Terrorist Threes.
This book was also a reminder two forgive yourself, huh you'd child, and treasure the moments... Before they become teenagers and you wonder who's idea it was two procreate anyway?

I’m so obsessed with this collection, it’s fun and fresh and exactly what I feel the people need. Poems of parenting by loryn brantz is great for new parents who don’t want to lose their love of literature along their journey!

Honestly, this was the best collection of poems I could've read as someone with a small child. I completely understood the emotions and experiences behind this collection. I cackled so many times and the artwork was just the highlight. Seeing Ms Rachel mentioned along with the millions of dollars I've spent in berries myself....I died a little inside. I cannot wait for this to be released! I will be recommending to all of my mom friends!!!

Loryn Brantz has been showing up in my social media feeds, and her poems are charming, relatable, and hilarious. So when I got the chance to review an e-arc of her book of poetry, I was thrilled. This is the cutest collection of poems and the simplicity of the verses belies the fact that they are whip-smart and so true. Every new mom should read her poetry!

What an absolute delight of a collection! I have been following Loryn Brantz on social media for some time. I loved that this was specifically all about parenting. I loved how it was the unique, weird, and delightful things that make up life as a parent. It was both funny and tender, while being so relatable and real. I found myself smiling and nodding through so much of this. It's the perfect gift for a parent - especially one with littles. Thanks to NetGalley for the early look at this April 2025 collection.

Poems of Parenting is an adorable collection of poems and line drawings from Loryn Brantz that parents will love. Brantz breaks down parenthood into moments that are both heartwarming and difficult. There are a few different parts to the book to highlight the different stages of parenting, from the newborn stage to well into toddlerhood. The breakdown includes: Part 1: Wrinkly Baby Bean - small and New You Are Here, Part II: Squishy Dumpling - On the Move Welcoming You To Babyhood, Part II: Spicy Little Nugget - Agent of Chaos Toddlerhood Activated, Part IV: Saucy String Bean - Surrender to Parenthood This Is Your Life Now. The book progresses as your little one ages, which provides both reprieve when you're in the thick of things, as well as humor as you recall those early days of parenting.
With entertaining illustrations, lots of humor, and short poems, Poems of Parenting would be a perfect give for a baby shower, Mother's Day, or "just because" to that mom friend you know could use a good hug and a laugh. I would highly recommend this collection of poems to parents!
Thank you to NetGalley, William Morrow, and the author Loryn Brantz for an ARC of Poems of Parenting in exchange for an honest review!

This is a cute baby shower gift book. I'm more of a fan of baby shower humor but the poetry and connection will really hit with a new mom, especially with the raging hormones! So, if you know someone who loves a good cry, this would be the book for them!

I love following Loryn on Instagram and loved this book for the same reason — it’s refreshing to read authentic, irreverent and hilarious reflections on parenthood. See Cheyenne Bluett and Jessica Urlichs for more “serious” (somber/reflective in tone) poetry and pick up this book for a laugh!
