East poetry to count things about each planet is combined with factual sidebars make this a very enjoyable learning experience.
The illustrations by Susanna Covelli are imaginative, delightfully colorful, and FUN!
Well suited for reading WITH someone any age from 7 and up, including ESL, and great for gifting to everyone, but especially to a school or your local public library!

In Our Solar System by Jenny Sundstedt is a perfect combination of fiction and nonfiction for young readers. The pattern and rhythm of the story encourages teachers/librarians to read the book aloud to and with students. Students can follow along and for early readers, the pattern and rhythm is an important stage in learning to read. The fun solar system facts will engage those students who enjoy nonfiction.
Great book!

This book is the perfect introduction to the Solar System for little ones. It has just the right balance of beautiful art, storytelling, and facts. I think it would be a great bedtime read, and I would love to add it to the lending library at our observatory once it's out. My only negative is that I wish the book had more than just mothers and fathers taking care of the little ones. I love introductions to poetry, as I feel it's often skipped over or not appreciated. With all this said, I think this book will make an excellent addition to many libraries and story times!

Loved reading it. This book has cute illustrations, a poem and facts about our solar system. I recommend reading this book to little ones wanting to learn more about our solar system.

In Our Solar System combines a delightful counting poem about outer space, with informative and well-explained concepts. My children of varying ages each enjoyed this fun picture book about our incredible solar system, and my older child was especially fond of the fun facts on each page.
As this poem is based on “Over in the Meadow”, my children enjoyed knowing the rhythm of the poem and after the initial reading were able to recite large section of the counting poem back.
The illustrations by Susanna Covelli, are gorgeous and add to the beauty of this beautiful book.
Many thanks to Familius Books, Jenny Sundstedt and NetGalley for this e-ARC for review consideration, with an honest review.
This book would be a brilliant gift for children of all ages, and a wonderful addition to any family bookshelf.

Thank you Netgalley for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review.
If you’re a parent and have a kid who’s interested in astronomy/space, please buy them this book. It was such a pleasing and adorable read! It’s really bite-size, not too short but not too long, just perfect to read to them before bed. And not only are the illustrations gorgeous, they are paired with very cute octaves (poems that contain eight lines) and even more interesting little facts about each planet of the solar system. And this is perfect not only for kids, but for adults too. I’m 27, and I thought this was a perfect read. Sometimes you need a break from more complex reads, and this was just perfect for that. Brilliant enough to keep me entertained from start to finish.

My daughter (5) loves the space, and this book really caught her interest. She enjoyed the counting and the poem. After the first page she asked to read the poem part while I read the facts. The drawings were very cute, and the counting got the interest of her little brother (2). They both enjoyed seeing illustrations, especially the cute little storms around the big red spot on Jupiter. I think it's great that the book included some educational facts about the various planets as it allows for the younger kids to learn counting with the poem and illustrations, and the older kids to further their knowledge about the solar system. We read this ebook through NetGalley.

I loved this little book so much. The book was very informative and easy to understand and the little poetry bits were so precious. The art was also incredible and a joy to look at. Such a lovely read.
Thank you so much Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.

I really enjoyed this book. I read this book with a child who loves space in mind, and on turning the final page, I knew I had to buy it for him!
The illustrations in this book are also top tier! Overall it makes for a really beautiful book for children

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for granting access to this book
This is a delightful book that teaches children about the solar system. If you have a child that is interested in science or the world around them, then this is the perfect book for them.

In Our Solar System, written by Jenny Sundstedt and illustrated by Susanna Covelli, is a brilliant picture book and counting poem about our solar system. Each page also includes more in depth information about space. The illustrations used are beautiful and the poem is a lot of fun for all.

In Our Solar System is an absolute delight! It’s a fun and engaging story about the planets, featuring catchy rhymes and a great rhythm that makes it enjoyable to read aloud. I love how it incorporates counting. The additional facts about each planet add an extra layer of fun that parents and older kids would enjoy as well. Plus, the illustrations are absolutely incredible, bringing the wonders of space to life. This book is a fantastic choice for young space enthusiasts!

This book is cute and sweet. The poem reads like a modern nursery rhyme and the information about the planets and solar system would be interesting to older readers. The artwork is beautiful.

this was brilliant! In Our Solar System uses a combination of poetry, prose, and colourful art to teach kids about the universe. each page has a fun fact that taught me things i didn't know either. the poems are slightly vague and can be used as riddles to guess which planet the author is talking about. the short thoughtful message about taking care of the earth was a lovely touch. did i mention the art was absolutely beautiful?

The illustrations are absolutely stunning, Overall, the book was well written and I did really enjoy it. Thank you for this advance reading copy!

Beautiful illustrations with informative but not overwhelming facts on our solar system. Wonderful book for kids like mine who love astronomy. My daughter and I absolutely loved it!

Very cute, I can see myself reading it to my younger students before a planetary sciences class. Talks about topics that might be too difficult for the age but opens the door to new ideas.

Blown away by the illustrations and colors in this book. My family loves books about our solar system and this one fit in just great.

I have kids that love learning about space and the planets, and I think they would like this book! It is packed with interesting facts about the solar system and planets, and the illustrations are just beautiful! A perfect book for parents to read with their children.

This is a lovely book that teaches about the solar system term and entertains the young ones with poems relating to numbers and then planets. My boys were engaged by the poetry and images. Lovely little book to hook students and young children into space and science.
