What a beautiful cover! This was what beguiled me in the first place I must admit. That and gardening. But barely halfway through, I hardly know where to place it. Perhaps, in my hindsight I expected something cozy. Gardening and nasty comedy? It is an odd combo, indeed. Gardening for me is like a balm to the soul however I feel this book lacks a little of it. The whole thing feels like Dr. Sproot's garden. There are hilarious incredulous moments and I think if I had in an incredulous frame of mind, it might have appealed to me. I guess I shall read it again when I'm in an appropriate mood and I may like it better.
