A steamy and adventurous story of a duke who needs to marry for money and a lady who runs a successful milliner shop. I loved Clarissa's strength, wisdom, and coming up with a way to help both of them. I loved to see them receive the HEA they both deserved - excellent read!

I am a huge fan of Tracy Sumner, Yet somehow I missed this trilogy! But wow! I am so excited to find it. With stories connecting I want to go back and read the first two.
In this adventurous story we find Knox, who is the Duke of Herschel. As expected he is supposed to marry for money. He has always taken care of those close to him and those around him. He has always followed his responsibilities. Until Clarissa. She is a shop owner and a very successful milliner. She too dreams of falling in real love. Knox has been in love with Clarissa since he met her and he wants to marry her. Can they get past all the obstacles and find a way to be together?
You will love this book so much. Adventure, chemistry and wonderful passion, all packed into a little novella. I love how Sumner creates amazing characters, like Clarissa who is a determined and strong character, and Knox who is genuine and caring. A wonderful story you have to read. Enjoy this adventure, I did!

This is the final book in the "Troublesome Trio" book series about three brothers settling down with their wives. Knox, the Duke, needs to get married because their dukedom needs money. He meets Clarissa, who owns a hat shop and after some flirting, etc. they decide to start a relationship.
Clairissa tries to figure out how to keep them together.

The story seemed a bit rushed, but the charactsrs and world were compelling. Definitely read the rest of this series, since i think those are a bit better.

I recieved an advanced review copy and am giving an honest review.

He's a broke duke...

Who plans to marry for money, though he'd like to marry for love and has a crush on Clarissa, a milliner. Clarissa is smart and practical and is well aware of Knox's reputation as a rake. He lost serious points for offering her the role of mistress, instead of wife and clearly doesn't speak to her as he would a lady.

Kiss The Duke Goodbye is the third book in Tracy Sumner’s Troublesome Trio series, and it is a wonderful conclusion to the DeWitt brothers’ stories. Knox falls first and boy does he fall hard for Clarissa. I mean, what else explains buying multiple hats for every woman he knows, simply so he can visit Clarissa’s millinery shop? However, Clarissa, being the bastard daughter of a peer, must protect her reputation and has no desire for a relationship with a scoundrel. Funny how attraction doesn’t always pay attention to what our brain tells it, because Clarissa could not deny her attraction to Knox! Throw two attracted people together during a snowstorm and love is bound to happen.

You will enjoy this book! You will feel the chemistry between Knox and Clarissa from the start. Their banter, the heated looks, even in their stubbornness. If you like your historical romances hot, Tracy Sumner’s got you covered with this one! Knox and Clarissa’s are delightfully steamy and passionate.

This well-written, fast-paced story was so fun to read! I loved every minute of it. I wish it had been a full-length novel rather than a novella as I was sorry to see the story end. I hope to see the characters pop up in another story one day.

I want to thank Tracy Sumner, NetGalley, and the publisher for an Advanced Reader Copy. I voluntarily read and reviewed the book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is another terrific series by Tracy Sumner! I was really looking forward to getting to know Knox better after reading the first two books. He's such a sweetheart! He just might be my favorite of the brothers, but it's a tough call. Tracy really writes such wonderful families, both real, like these brothers, and found families, too! I enjoyed following Clarissa and Knox's steamy yet sweet love story.

What an incredibly delightful novella, Tracy Sumner is truly the queen of historical romance! I LOVED Knox so much, his pining for Clarissa was so swoony. His adoration and dedication to his family was just the cherry on top. And Clarissa, strong willed and empowered. She took her life into her own hands and took the love she deserved. And of course, this wouldn’t be a Tracy Sumner book without mind blowing chemistry. Tracy is always a must read for me!

This third and final book in The Troublesome Trio series was an absolutely charming and very engaging historical romance. I enjoyed the friendship that became a beautiful romance with a fiery delightful passion, despite societies expectations. I really liked the delightful characters and how the story reintroduced the family. The ending was especially lovely. I highly recommend reading!

This was a lovely story, Knox and Clarissa were so likeable and you knew that they just had to find a way to be together. I think this story could have stood up as a full length book.

We finally get to our Duke who so desperately wants a family of his own!

Thank you to NetGalley and Tracy Sumner for the ARC of this novella.

Knoxville DeWitt, the Duke of Herschel, is stuck with five entailed estates but no money to support them. His father left the dukedom broke and Knox used what little money he had saved to help his brother marry the woman he loved– Knox does not regret this choice. So when he starts to have feelings for a lovely milliner named Clarissa Marlowe it is a problem. While he may be attracted to Clarissa, she doesn't have the dowry to rescue the estates and people who rely on him. Clarissa for her part does not want to get involved with a duke. She has seen the dark side of the aristocracy and would prefer to live her life, unencumbered by their nonsense but she can't help her growing feelings for Knox.

This was a lovely conclusion to The Troublesome Trio! We saw the beginnings of Knox and Clarissa's relationship in The Devil of Drury Lane and I was so excited to watch them figure it out. I love a heroine with a job, especially one that makes her independent. And the fact that Clarissa was the one taking the lead in their relationship really worked for me.

You technically can read this as a standalone but I really recommend reading all three novellas. They're short, fast-paced and give you a real picture of who Knox is before we get his story.

Tracy Sumner delivers yet another heartwarming and swoon-worthy historical romance with Kiss the Duke Goodbye. This enchanting tale follows the journey of love, passion, and second chances, capturing the essence of everything we adore in a well-crafted Regency romance.

Sumner’s storytelling is effortlessly captivating, bringing to life characters who are bold, layered, and impossible not to root for. The chemistry between the leads is electric, filled with witty banter, undeniable tension, and tender moments that make your heart swell.

This book is a reminder of why historical romance continues to shine—no damsels in distress, just strong-willed women and the men who are more than willing to fall at their feet. Kiss the Duke Goodbye is a beautiful, heartfelt read, proving once again that Tracy Sumner never disappoints!

What a gorgeous and romantic novella!! We get to read about Knox, a somewhat destitute duke, and his love for milliner Clarissa. Not having read any earlier books in this world, there were some characters and backstories that were unfamiliar. However, this only made me want to pick up more books by this author and to read about the other characters in the story! The men were all so desperately in love with their partners and there’s nothing better than that!

I found the writing style of this novella to be lovely and romantic. The sex scenes were incredibly well done and continued the storyline/building of the relationship rather than just being added to check a box, which is critical with such a short page count. The conclusion of the conflict was satisfying and it was a relief to not have a breakup or any time apart on page. I loved this one and will definitely be picking up more by this author!

I loooved this sexy, snowed-in historical romance novella!

While Knox has a reputation as a scoundrel, he actually has a kind heart and is secretly yearning for love and a family to call his own. Falling for Clarissa aligns with his goal apart from the fact that she's not got the funds he so desperately needs (due to no fault of his own) to care for the thousands of people in his dukedom who rely on him. Clarissa is a confident, clever, and self-made business owner who takes matters in her own hands to get what she and Knox so desperately long for.

I loved my first Tracy Sumner romance and have signed up for more right away.
This is the 3rd and last book in the series and can be read as a standalone. But why would you? Go on and dive into the entire series.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to dive into this story ahead of publication date.

Read if you like: class difference, snowed in, forced proximity, novella, he falls first and hard

Knox wants to marry for love but he can’t afford to. He’s such a thoughtful MMC and cares for everyone, because of this, he is forced to marry for money just to pay for his father’s mistakes. He’s a duke who doesn’t want the title and he’s set on getting Clarissa’s attention, even if he can’t have her. Clarissa was a smart FMC, she really made him work for it (especially with his rakish reputation).

“I yearn for you” “you’re worth every sacrifice” 🥹🥹 he was down bad for her

I couldn’t really connect to the characters and I wasn’t that invested in their love. There wasn’t much depth but that’s hard to have in a novella. With only 7 chapters it’s a very quick read!

Knox, a duke, needs to marry for money. Claria is a milliner. They are both attracted to each other. They must find a way around the obstacles to be together. I found this story ended a bit abruptly, I would have liked to read more. I received an ARC from NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for my honest review.

A wonderful way to tie up the “Troublesome Trio” of brothers that take the ton by surprise with their hijinks.
With his two brothers now happily married, Knox the Duke needs to face the reality of his desolate estates needing an infusion of cash and his obsession for a common working lady named Clarissa.
They start a love affair with an ending to saying goodbye before he marries a woman of the ton.
Romance, tough decisions, beautifully crafted love scenes add to reading enjoyment.
