This is a very nice introduction to the topic of sleep and deep sleep. It gives concise information, very understandable. The structure of the book seems thought through, first giving facts and focusing on how to use this information later on. To me, this book seems to be a good first step, but it does lack a couple of things. Of course, it is a small book and there just is not much room to give an extensive overview. However, sometimes the information given is kind of partial. The fact that sleep functions differently for different people, especially for neurodivergent brains etc. is completely ignored. For this reasoon, the tips given are not necessarily very helpful for everyone.

This is a quick read which covers our need for sleep, the phases of sleep, and tips to get good sleep. It has the essentials of what you need to know about sleep. If you are keen to get a more detailed research-based book, I strongly recommend “Why We Sleep” by Matthew Walker.

My rating: 3.5 / 5.

This book was a quick, fun, and informative read. I know quite a bit about sleep but this taught me a few new things which I wasn't expecting! I also really enjoyed the quotes and overall aesthetic of the book.

An absolutely fantastic little book, full of advice to get better deep sleep. Loved the design & the quotes, unbelievable that some are thousands years old, still have meaning today, journalling so many of them.
A perfect present for family members or friends that can't sleep.

As a sufferer of chronic insomnia. I often struggle with sleep books, as they are condescending. However this book, sticks to the facts, is easy to read, covers useful topics and prompts. While being short and to the point. The colours in this book are also very pleasing on the eye.
While it's not going to cure anyone's insomnia or serious sleep problem, I would recommend it for anyone, it gives tips for those slightly struggling While also providing validation for those with worse problems.

As its name says, this was a great little book to get some deep dive info on sleeping and what sleep does for the body. There was some new info that got me thinking and some stuff that just served as a good reminder on how important prioritizing sleep is. I found the bit about different animal styles of sleeping really fascinating as well as the breakdown of different sleep cycles.
