Highly recommend

"The time has finally come for former Met police officer Jodie 'Nosey' Parker to wed her fiancé DCI Nathan Withers. But their long-anticipated wedding doesn't quite go to plan...
As their guests descend on a luxurious Cornish castle for a weekend of pre-wedding activities, the happy couple look forward to spending time with friends and family. But celebrations grind to a halt when an arrow flies off-course during the archery session, and they find the body of a young woman floating face down in an ornamental pond.
With the champagne chilling and canapes assembled, and an old London adversary brought in to investigate, it's up to Jodie and Nathan to uncover the killer, before they strike again.
Could the murderer be on the guest list?"
Of course the murderer is on the guest list! Now which guest is it!?!

I loved the latest installment in one of my favorite mystery series. Poor Jodie and Nathan. They can’t even get married without a murder on the premises. Who idi it? Was it one of the wedding party? It’s not looking good for someone in the wedding. I enjoyed reading about this newest puzzle and checking in with Jodie and all her friends and family. I want to be Jocasta when I grow up!

Quirky and entertaining who dunnit.
Why murder a young girl, in the middle of the night and on a golf course? Who was she and why? interesting clues and good backstory. We finally get to attend Nath and Jodie's wedding. Beautiful venue, close friends, what could go wrong. Plenty.
Don't miss this next adventure as Jodie and Nathaniel plan to say I do.... Will they make it their nuptials - you need to read and find out.

This is the seventh in the series but is easily read as a stand alone cosy crime mystery. I love the way that the food is described in detail by Jodie as she is a caterer in her civilian life and there is even a recipe at the end. I’m a huge fan for maps or plans at the beginning of books and recipes at the end of them. It’s that attention to detail for the reader which I think is very giving from the author. I’ve never read any of the series before but I certainly will read the others . I found it tricky to get going so reading it in a day is for me the way forward, so I found reading in the sun on holiday was a perfect way to read this book. Pack it for yours if you get the chance

Jodie 'Nosey' Parker and her fiance Nathan are about to tie the knot. Family and friends are gathered at a country house hotel in preparation when a dead body is discovered. Despite having other things to worry about, Jodie can't avoid getting involved in the investigation.
The Cornish Castle Murder by Fiona Leitch is book 8 in the Nosey Parker Mystery series and is a great addition. Fans of the series will have grown to love the characters and seen the relationship between Jodie and Nathan develop. Finally, they are about to get married and have hired a "castle" for the big event, an exclusive country house hotel, for the wedding.
With friends arriving from other parts of the country, and abroad, the couple decide to hold their stag and hen do's at the hotel before the wedding. There's tension between Nathan's old colleagues from Liverpool and his current ones from Cornwall with things reaching a head when the hens invade the stag do and discover that risque waitresses have been hired.
The following morning the body of one of the waitresses is discovered in the lake on the hotel grounds. Suspicion for her murder falls firstly on her boyfriend and then on one of the wedding party. Although it would seem that Nathan, and Jodie, are ideally placed to investigate the murder they are sidelined. Not only is Nathan on leave, there is also a conflict of interest. DI Diana Mackintosh of Exeter Police, and an old colleague of Jodie's from when she worked in the Met, is tasked with the investigation.
Despite numerous warnings to leave the investigation alone, Jodie can't help but search for answers herself. Being at the scene seems to give Jodie the upper hand as she's able to scrutinise lots of different elements involved in the case such as CCTV and the hotel layout, and surreptitiously question staff.
All of the normal humorous elements are present in the book. Jodie's mother, Shirley, is as embarrassing as ever and seems to have found an ally in the form of Nathan's mother. There is much eye-rolling from Daisy, Jodie's daughter, at the escapades of all the adults.
This is one of those cosy crime books that has you rapidly turning the pages, wanting to see how everything pieces together after they stumble from one clue to the next, sometimes through ridiculous situations.

This was another really enjoyable read from Fiona Leitch. The Cornish Castle Murder is the 8th in the Nosey Parker series and Jodie and Nathan are finally getting married. The venue for the wedding is the gorgeous setting of Kervoy Castle but on the eve of the wedding, a body is discovered in the lake on the hotel grounds. The murder victim had earlier been waitressing at Nathan’s stag party which comprised mainly of off duty policemen. Was one of them the murderer?
I love this series and one ot the reasons is the way that the author does such a brilliant job of balancing the personal stories of her characters with the murder mystery. The mystery is an interesting one and as usual, there are plenty of plot twists to keep the reader’s brain busy. At the same time, the characters lives continue to develop and I especially love the way Josie and Nathan’s relationship is portrayed. The warmth and love between the principal characters in these books shines through and sets the series apart from other cosy crime books.
This was a great read and I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series. As always, my thanks go to Net Galley and the publishers, One More Chapter, for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Another reliable cozy Cornish crime novel that includes all the winning ingredients from previous books. Thanks to the publisher for the ARC.

"The Cornish Castle Murder” the 8th instalment in The Nosey Parker Cozy Mystery series by Fiona Leitch. I cannot get enough of this series, if you love mysteries set in England this is for you! I love visiting Cornwall and Jodie, Daisy, and her mum but let’s not forget about Germaine the Pomeranian! This time we are attending the wedding of Josie and Nathan, what could go wrong with a bunch of off duty policeman around. Could the murderer be on the guest list?
The mystery was really interesting, well plotted, and had just enough twists to keep you engrossed and wanting to know what happens next. I really hope there will be a book 9 coming out soon, as I can’t get enough of this series.
I recommend this book to all my cozy lover friends.
I requested and received an Advanced Readers Copy from Harper Collins UK. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A Fantastic Addition to the Nosy Parker Series!
I absolutely love the Nosy Parker series and The Cornish Castle Murder is my favorite book of the series yet—which says a lot, considering how much I’ve enjoyed every book so far! Fiona Leitch has truly perfected the recipe for success, delivering a delightful mix of witty banter, quirky characters and the charming Cornwall setting that makes this series so special.
This time around, the heart of the story is the long-awaited wedding of Jodie and Nathan, two beloved protagonists whose journey I’ve followed with great affection. Their relationship brings an extra layer of emotional depth to the book, making it even more engaging. Despite the inevitable obstacles, their love and resilience shine through, adding warmth and heart to the mystery.
Speaking of the mystery—this was one of the strongest plotlines in the series to date. It kept me hooked from start to finish, constantly guessing as new twists unfolded. The intrigue was perfectly balanced with humor and character development, making for an incredibly satisfying read.
If you're a fan of cozy mysteries, you absolutely need to check out the Nosy Parker series. The Cornish Castle Murder is a must-read for longtime fans and a fantastic reason for new readers to dive in!
Thank you to the publisher, Harper Collins UK, One More Chapter for the complimentary copy of this book.

Could the murderer be on the guest list?
This is an amazing book, just buy it, and sit back and enjoy the ride. A massive five shiny stars from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for an advance copy of the book in exchange for a review.
The 8th outing for Jodie "Nosey' Parker and we're at a castle for the weekend wedding party of Jodie and Nathan. Do things go to plan? What do you think?!
An enjoyable read!

The Cornish Castle Murder by Fiona Leich is the latest installment in The Nosey Parker Cozy Mystery series .
This series is perfect for lovers of cozy whodunnits, I particularly like the character development throughout the series as we get to know Jodie and her family more.
In The Cornish Castle Murder, Josie and the gang are at a (you guessed it) Cornish Castle ready to celebrate the wedding of the year. During the pre wedding activities the wedding party finds the body of a young woman floating face down in an ornamental pond.
"With the champagne chilling and canapes assembled, and an old London adversary brought in to investigate, it’s up to Jodie and Nathan to uncover the killer, before they strike again"
Thank you @netgalley and @onemorechapterhc for this advance digital copy, It was the perfect book to read on a recent city break and kept me guessing until the very end.

I love thise series by Fiona Leitch and couldn't wait to read the next. Finally, Jodie and DCI Withers are getting hitched and its at a fancy at Cornwall castle! They've invited their nearest and dearest for a fun-filled few days, but it all goes awry when a body enters the party. As always, these books infuse a lot of humor with their wacky cast of characters, similar to M.C. Beaton's Agatha Raisin series. The mystery was well-plotted with a few red herrings sprinkled in. I also enjoy the growth we've seen over the series for all the characters. Highly recommend for cozy and humorous mystery readers!
Thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins UK for the ARC!

Chick Lit meets crime in this cosy murder set on the Cornish coastline. I found the book full of chatter between wedding guests but less on the crime. I hope readers who like this style enjoy the book, but it wasn't a memorable read for me.

A New Investigation..
The eighth entry into the Nosey Parker series of mysteries and with a wedding on the horizon it is little surprise to find that things will not go quite to plan. With guests arriving and celebrations about to begin, an incident occurs to set everything off course culminating in a very dead body. So begins a new investigation. Another enjoyable and entertaining outing with a cast of nicely drawn and credible characters and a fun plot laced with humour.

Jodie Parker is a former Met Officer now living in Cornwall with her teenage daughter and about to marry DCI Nathan Withers, unfortunately a body is found in a nearby lake but was found to be dead before entering the lake. Of course Jodie and Nathan try to solve the case even though Nathan is not on the case himself and they put the wedding plans on hold.
A great book full of humour, it's the 8th in the series and the best yet.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC and I give my honest review.

I've devoured the previous books in this series and this was no different!
Our resident nosy parker, Jodie is all set for her dream wedding to Nathan, except it's like cases seem to follow her wherever she goes, and a murder on the first night ends up with their wedding as a sideshow to an investigation, because, quite frankly neither Jodie, nor Nathan, can stop themselves!
This is another great read, though. It's always fun to catch up with all the characters in a series.
There were certainly some twists and turns throughout the story, and there was lots packed into what was essentially just a few days in the story.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins, One More Chapter, for an ARC.

This is book 8 of the Nosey Parker cosy mystery series. It works as a standalone, but I would definitely recommend reading the earlier books to understand the characters and their relationships.
It is finally time for Jodie and Nathan to marry. Of course things don't go to plan when a young girl is found murdered at their venue. Can Jodie and Nathan help solve the case, as well as become man and wife?
I love this series, the characters are so relatable, and I love the mixture of personalities. The books are very easy to read, and this one is no different - I cannot wait for number 9!

Jody and Nathan are at a fancy castle for their wedding and reception, with all their friends and family. Things take a turn when a young woman is murdered on the hotel grounds. Nathan is off-duty for the wedding, but he and Jody and their cop friends can’t help investigating, especially when one of their group becomes a suspect.
The series has a wonderful cast of quirky characters that would be great fun to hang out with. The mystery is well-done and in perfect cozy style, all ends well.
Thanks to Harper Collins UK, One More Chapter and NetGalley for the ARC.
