I absolutely ate this book up! I've never read this kind of family against family, vineyard type plot before and I loved it. I was on the edge the entire time thinking there was going to be a big twist moment, but it was just the sweetest happily ever after.
I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this advanced readers copy!
Edited to add: I was so upset to see this series was pulled! I loved it and didn't find anything triggering for me personally. I hope after the book is edited, the series can continue!

Book has been pulled from publication. I will read and review once revisions have been made! I love Sophie’s work and am confident she will fix this book.

This book was pulled from publication. As such, I cannot and will not leave a review due to its content.

This book had so much potential. Unfortunately, the author made some racists remarks in the story that was out of left field from the character and didn't add any thing to the story.
The apology did not feel sincere and felt like the publisher made sure they did not take the blame for it. It just didn't feel right to me.

Sparrow and Vine is initially a fun, good time, it has much potential, but this potential is brought down by certain dialogue exchanges that left me uncomfortable.
Our leads Sadie and Monroe shock their respective families when they enter a bit of a fraudulent but oh so convenient marriage in a bid to save a long disputed vineyard from being sold. Forcing rival families to come together, however not every family member is for this, in fact some may plot against the abrupt couple, placing hurdles along the way. But those hurdles will have a formidable match facing the partnership of Sadie and Monroe.
The book features some fan favorite tropes and themes. That said, this is where I found a hiccup in my own engagement. It’s no surprise the use of these tropes can arise predictability in story beats, and I don’t mind that at all, as long as they are infused with their own unique charm. This charm felt missing at times in the narrative, diminishing my engagement. I found my gaze wandering off page at times.
However, what made me wander off most were certain choices in dialogue. Particularly an exchange related to workers' "questionable" visas. I did not catch this in my first reading, so I have edited my review to now reflect this. After being made aware it reframed much of this narrative for me, causing great discomfort. This line is disappointing and indefensible to see included. It further diminished my engagement. I sincerely hope if the book is not pulled that there are edits prior to publication, and a statement released to maintain transparency with readers.
Thank you NetGalley and Bloom Books for this advanced complimentary copy, I leave this honest review voluntarily.

This was a quick enjoyable read. I liked the characters, and the relationships between the other siblings was intriguing, which aim assuming is because they’re being set up for their own stories. At times the use of metaphors and similes was a bit distracting, especially in the beginning. Not everything needs a cheesy comparison. But thankfully the rest of the story was relatively free of them. There wasn’t much of a conflict in the end and it felt kind of rushed and anti-climactic. Hopefully something that will be fixed in the future books in this series.

I will be waiting for the book to be updated as it has been pulled by the pub and author due to the content. I do not feel I can read it at this time until it has been changed.

ARC Review of Sparrow and Vine by Sophie Lark

The start of a series that I am eager to dive into! A plan to save the family that ends with the bindings of enemies with a wedding that should have been.
Sadie and Monroe did something crazy, but it was to save the vineyard and their home.
Their families have been enemies for all their lives due to the choices of their parents, tearing about the friendship between their grandfathers, and leaving a glorious house empty...waiting for the owners to move in.
With one little ring and a signed piece of paper, that is just what happened.
Great read. With the hint of the two other siblings getting their own time to shine in future reads, I am eager to follow this series.
Even when their families hated each other, Sadie and Monroe never appeared hostile, just a few bitter jabs and teasing. Their relationship is almost somewhat healthy, and they immediately begin to bond. No heavy fighting or nastiness. Though it is different for the other siblings, one pair that appears to be hiding a secret and the other just annoying the hell out of each other.
Then there is the mystery of the past. What happened to Sadie's father and Monroe's mother to make it end it all? The betrayal? Is their more?
Can't wait to find out!

Will no longer be reading and reviewing since this was pulled by the publisher. Thank you for the opportunity.

This was pulled from publication therefore I do not feel comfortable leaving a review. Sadlyi have to rate this book. I did not read it die to all the drama surrounding it.

Dnf. Not a fan… of what i read. I have previously liked reading Sophie Larks book, but this one wasnt…good.

I'm a huge sophie fan so it's disappointing to see the things that took place in this book. I was over the moon to get the opportunity to participate in this arc but here we all are now.

This book has been pulled from publication, so I will not be reviewing it though I did read the provided ARC., Treating prominent, important issues as throwaway lines to illustrate unexplored character beliefs is not something I want to read in anything, but especially concerning main characters in a romance.

Ok...so I LOVED the cover of this book!
I couldn't get past the first chapter of the book though. The description of Pop Pop running through the field was the last straw for me. I felt the writing was a immature. Then I went online and saw the controversy surrounding the release. While I probably wouldn't let something like that keep me from reading a book, it sure didn't make me want to pick it back up after I'd already decided to DNF.
Good luck to Ms. Lark on future publications!
**Thanks to SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books via NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to review this book.

DFN:
I will not going to be supporting an awful human being. Being racist is not okay and I’m not going to be reading this anymore
