Based on well researched methods and wisdom from other thought leaders in this field, Nowell provides an easily readable book focusing on keeping what is important on the way to the top.

Covey’s rock example is provided and is one instance Nowell uses to reiterate balance, retaining what is important and ensuring that the striving manager makes time for themselves and family the first appointment marker in their planner.

A good recap on what it’s important and methods to assist retaining values on the way up.

Hers for the Taking is an excellent guide for women just starting and those who feel stuck at any point in their careers. Tracey Newell, a tech industry executive and seasoned mentor, encourages women to dream big, claim their space, and grow their skill sets with practical, actionable steps. Newell includes stories from her career as well as case studies showcasing other women who offer their own advice and wisdom.

Highly recommend.
