Another heartwarming, dual POV love story from a fav author about Katie, an accident-prone, globe-trotting travel blogger and Graham, the #HotScot who owns the estate she's come to write about on the Isle of Mull.
This book was full of hilarious moments, a meddlesome parrot, Edwardian re-enactments, a scene stealing little boy, swoony moments and excellent grief rep (both main characters have lost siblings). I loved the charming setting, learning more about the Isle of Mull and the large cast of side characters.
It was good on audio and is sure to delight all the armchair travel enthusiasts looking for their own Jamie Fraser and a Scottish HEA. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

Thank you to NetGalley, Pepper Basham, and Thomas Nelson & Zondervan Fiction Audio for the opportunity to review this audiobook.
Pepper Basham delivers an enchanting romance filled with adventure, personal growth, and undeniable chemistry. The story follows a spirited travel journalist who has spent years exploring the world, capturing breathtaking destinations through her words. Her vivid, sometimes overly dramatic descriptions add a layer of charm to her character—though some readers may find her youthful energy more fitting for a sixteen-year-old than a seasoned globetrotter.
In contrast, the male lead is her complete opposite—grounded, responsible, and carrying the weight of his family's expectations. As the eldest son, duty has shaped his every decision, making his interactions with the free-spirited journalist both compelling and dynamic. Their differences create an engaging push-and-pull romance, filled with moments of humor, tension, and undeniable attraction.
The audiobook experience enhances the storytelling even further. The narrators were fantastic, bringing each character to life with distinct voices, emotion, and perfect pacing. Their performances added depth to the characters, making their journey even more immersive and engaging.
Basham's writing shines with immersive settings, heartfelt themes, and a romance that tugs at the heartstrings. While the heroine’s personality may feel a bit exaggerated at times, her journey of growth and self-discovery is rewarding. Readers who enjoy opposites-attract romances with emotional depth and swoon-worthy moments will find plenty to love here.
Perfect for fans of travel-infused love stories and character-driven romance, this audiobook is a delightful escape into a world of adventure and unexpected love.

Thank you NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for the audio ARC
I did love the audio! The narrators did a great job embodying the characters. It flowed nicely and I loved their voices.
The story tho was a little juvenile for me. Katie was cute but I just had a hard time connecting. I know Piper is a Christian writer since I’ve read several books by her. I just felt like this story could have been told in half the pages. Want a bad book just wasn’t a book for me.

I was not able to get this in regular ebook, only audio. Otherwise it looks really cute and I appreciate the early read. Thank you to Netgalley and I Hope to read it soon!

Surprisingly enough, this was my first ever read by Pepper Basham and it certainly did not disappoint! As soon as I started reading, I could tell that I loved her writing style. It instantly pulled me into the story and kept me highly entertained until the end! Pepper’s talent with descriptive writing painted such a vivid picture of beautiful Scotland in my mind’s eye.
This book had some of my favorite tropes including a grumpy/sunshine trope that was absolute perfection! I loved that the FMC was not your average, petite character but rather 6’ tall and “well-built” 🤭 The fact that Graeme was able to make her feel small was the best! The meet-cute was one of the best meet-cutes I’ve read in a while; it really showed off the main character’s personalities to a T 😂
Katie didn’t have a place she considered home and traveling the world for a job certainly didn’t help matters. When she arrives in Scotland and falls instantly in love with the raw beauty of the country and possibly a local Scotsman, could she possibly begin to consider setting down roots? Katie’s life has had its fair share of pain and quite a bit more than its fair share of mishaps, or misadventures as she dubs them. Can she finally find peace and healing in the beautiful country of Scotland? Can she possibly trust someone enough with her brokenness and choose to stay with them?
Graeme was the perfect counterpart for vivacious Katie, with all of her wildness and misadventures. His was a calm and easygoing life now made a bit more wild by a certain redheaded American, but he was able to be that strong and secure presence she needed in her life. Graeme had his fair share of hurts and pain over the years as well and I love that they were able to finally find some semblance of healing together ♥️
This book showed such real and raw relationships of people with God. It’s one of those stories you can easily relate to because you’ve been through similar struggles. I love how the characters made such an effort to truly seek God and make Him an active part of their lives.
This book was breathtakingly beautiful ♥️ It gave off Tea With Elephants by Robin Jones Gunn vibes 🥹 I highlighted so many beautiful quotes in this book!

The audiobook of this story was phenomenal! The narrator for Graham was superb and really brought him to life!
