The sixth and final installment of Coble’s Journey of the Heart series wraps everything up in a satisfying way. These books should definitely be read in order. There’s not a great deal of depth, but the stories are entertaining. The price for all six novellas is a bit steep for the quality.
Emmie wants to marry Isaac but is afraid she will lose him if he finds out the true story of her background. Then there’s that nagging problem of a promise Emmie made to a friend — that she would marry a widower and become a mother to his child. She is torn between fulfilling her promise and her love for Isaac. As the war with the Sioux grows increasingly violent, tensions run high.

I loved this book and this series. This book kept my interest through the entire book. Colleen Coble is on of my favorite authors.

I really enjoyed this series and flew right through it.
