This novel had just the right amount of steam and danger to keep me reading. I usually enjoy road trip stories, and this was no exception
This is the fourth book in a series. In doing a little research, I really liked the premise of the Renegade Royals, and was excited to read this book, if a little apprehensive because I hadn’t read the first three. Although I feel like I missed some character development that occurred in the first three books, the relationship between Edie and Alec was enjoyable, and I understood their characters well. I do think that there could have been better relationship development, as they did seem to argue quite an awful lot. Overall, a good read that made me want to check out the first few of the series.
Great characters, fun romance, Kilts, Highlanders and bagpipes. Life is good.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it
Vanessa Kelly continues her Renegade Royals series in which all our heroes have been born bastards to the men of royalty. These men are loyal to each other and one by one is leaving the spy profession and committing themselves to matrimony.
This is the fourth story, and I think so far, my favorite. I think that’s because this one moved fast and it had lighter characters and by extension the plot didn’t feel as heavy either. The chemistry between the two was hot and banter laugh-out-loud funny.
The secondary character of Eden’s mother, Lady Reese, had me grin every time she showed up in the story.
All in all, this was a thoroughly enjoyable read and I highly recommend it.
