4 1/2 stars for sure. Such a great mix between a true mystery/thriller and a chick lit novel. Mackenzie is the bar owner, crime solver, heroine with a unique set of skills that help her solve crimes on the side. The mystery starts out with a letter leaving her clues to solve a mystery before a deadline or someone she knows will die. Enter a boyfriend, new potential love interest, and a crime solving club and we are off and running to solve the clues. The mystery was suspenseful and attention grabbing and the drama on the side for Mackenzie and the two men in her life made for a great fast paced book. Nothing too deep or complicated, but a great read. Looking forward to reading more in this series.
