Fans of dystopian thrillers will enjoy Powerless by Tim Washburn. Based on the premise that the electricity has been knocked out by a geomagnetic storm, the world is doomed, and protagonist, Zeke Marshall is determined to fix the problem. While Marshall is a well-developed character, there are other characters that leave readers wondering. The story is good, and will keep the interest of readers. The suspense and danger to Marshall build throughout, and some scenarios will get readers thinking about this actually happening in real life.
