This book was definitely the case of a re-read because I failed to give a review the first time, and I loved it just as much when I read it the first time.

One of the biggest reasons why I love fantasy/paranormal romance so much is because the heroines are absolute badasses. And Serenity is absolutely that and more, she's not one to be pushed around. She runs the show and is not afraid to stand up for herself especially around overbearing men. I loved her right away and so many of you will as well.

Pair her up with the ever so alpha male, Alexi, the chemistry is awesome! And all that tension! I was so happy for the dual POV because we really get to know Alexi especially his vulnerabilities when it comes to Serenity.

For years he has done what he can to protect her, but because of what they both are, they are not destined to be together. It just goes against everything they were brought into. But all the signs are there that they belong together. There's some push and pull, but there's only so much Serenity can take before she sets her foot down.

Absolutely loved this book, from the storyline and all the supporting characters. I definitely need to go back and start from the beginning before I get to the next one.
