This is another one that's been on my NG backlog for a couple of years, and so with the #Reviewathon, it's time to get it knocked off the list. It helped that this was a really fast read.

I wasn't sure at first if this would be for me, as the characters are teenagers, being 17yrs old. I'm finding sometimes I am a little bit past those stores now. But this one was alright and I liked the characters.

As can be typical with books about younger adults, there wasn't the best communication and it was a little bit insta kind of story at times, but for the most part this was just an enjoyable and easy read.

It was a bit of an abrupt ending, but I believe there are more books to come, so it would be interesting to see what happens next.

Another cute instalment for a wonderful series.
Ideal weekend cute & fluffy.
I love the parking lot, picnic and poetry scenes! Such amazing moments, that made me swoon for the book.
Is the character building or the storyline perfect? Nope. but I like the writing style and sometimes when the story is beautifully told, the joy of reading trumps analysing the book.

Dahlia is trying to avoid the spotlight at her creative arts high school, which is kind of hard when you are international pop star Cherry. Armed with a new hairstyle and some contacts, she thinks she might just get away with it, until she is noticed by Finn.

Finn is crushing on Dahlia hard, but she thinks he is in love with another mystery girl. Dahlia is determined to help Finn out, but as she spends more time with him, she begins to have feelings for him too. Dahlia longs to let go of her life as Cherry and find happiness, especially since the judge that granted her emancipation is requiring her to finish high school. But as her relationship with Finn grows, her academic life is put in danger by his mother, a school administrator who doesn’t want to see her son’s heart being broken.

Love this series!

The Secret Life of a Dream Girl by Tracy Deebs is about Dahlia Greene. Dahlia is going to court ot get emancipated from her controlling father. She is tired of being pushed around and forced to do things that she is uncomfortable doing. Dahlia has a secret identity, she is actually the pop star "Cherry". All she wants is to start living a more normal life and go to public school.

Then there is Keegan. Keegan has always had a crush on Dahlia. He believes that she is his dream girl. One day Dahlia over hears Keegan talking about his dream girl and so she decides that she wants to help him get this dream girl of his. Keegan agrees to Dahlia's help because he is hoping that she will end up dating him. The paths get crossed and things become complicated.

I think this story is very cute. The writing is good and the pace move steadily along. The characters are well developed and I really enjoyed getting to know the characters. I really liked this book. It is a pretty fast read for me.
