This is a great source for booksellers and librarians, especially those that do ordering, to make informed decisions with their precious dollars.
Do you like romance books to read? I often have found it confusing what type of romance! Not to mention author.. I do like romance but my romance books are pretty restricted until I read this! Do you wish you could read parts of the book before buying a romance? This is the book for you! I don't always know if I will enjoy the way an author writes his/her romance novel. It is also a great way to find new romance authors. I did!
Great preview of what books were coming out in 2016. I got a lot of reading material ideas out of it.
First time I've picked up a Buzz Books collection - it was really nice. Now I have to be patient and wait for my choices to come out!
If you love reading romance & want to find new books and authors to read this is a must read. Interesting snap shot of a great genre & a good way to look at trends.
I'm not usually the biggest romance fan. But these sampler of titles did manage to put a couple on my radar!
Even though this was an older Buzz Books edition (from 2016), I was curious to see what I might've missed in the romance genre. There were quite a few I had never heard of. Being exposed to new books, authors and getting a excerpt - that’s a win in my book. This time I walked away with 1 on the ‘I have to read NOW’ list - On Second Thought by Kristan Higgins; 2 in the ‘maybe’ pile - Wrong For Me by Jackie Ashenden and Blueberry Barrens by Colleen Coble; and a fair amount that didn’t interest me. I also got to revisit one of my favorites - Last Chance Rebel by Maisey Yates. Overall, I found this edition to be a great mix of books.
I think that these Buzz Books are a great idea! I am slowly going through it, I have read several excerpts from books that are due to be published and have made notes in my reading journal.
I will definitely look out for another Buzz Book when I have less to read!
Thanks NetGalley for having the good idea.
I love seeing what's coming out! Can't wait to read these titles!
This was a really interesting Buzz Books for me because it is all set in the Romance genre. I've come to enjoy some light YA contemporary romance in the past few months, and wondered if maybe, just maybe, that the adult romance genre was something I would enjoy now. So what better place to try out new authors voices than here?
I really enjoyed the books featured mostly because I am still learning what to look for when it comes to this genre. I cannot immediately tell from a book flap whether or not I will like it in Romance, unlike other genres that I have much more experience with. So this was a winner for me, even though I think only one of the books ultimately will be something I will read.
Thank you to NetGalley and Buzz Books for this copy!
Always fun to see what the new books are! I really enjoy the Buzzbooks collections every quarter.
I enjoyed getting an overview of books to look out for this season.
I love being able to read scenes from books that aren't released yet. The ability to get a glimpse inside something that will be out in the upcoming months is fun and makes getting excited over a book even easier. I enjoyed getting to know new to me authors and their upcoming works!
love the sample very well put together,i will need to buy some of the books.
Interesting collection. I have discovered some new authors. It had covered many sub genres which I enjoyed
Samplers are just that, and there really is no way to review them. Wow, a great collection; wow, not so great a collection; wow, some great choices. Seems best left as a marketing tool.
Although romance isn't my usual genre. Several of these titles have piqued my interest.
As someone new to this reviewing game, the Buzz Books collection is terribly exciting. What a fantastic way of previewing my next reads on NetGalley! I'm not much of a romance reader, but some of these piqued my interest. I've made a couple of request, but I'm usually outside the regions that publishers want so I'm not holding my breath.
This is a compendium of samples for which the full galley is not, in fact available.
Romance as a genre is not usually my thing but there are often cross-over books that fall into this category and it would be sad to miss those. The book that really stood out for me in this issue of Buzz Books was The Illusionist's Apprentice by Kristy Cambron (fabulous cover image!), which will definitely be added to my Wish List.
I did, however, miss the author photos that appear in some issues of Buzz books.
