Was excited to read this, but life got in the way and this was archived before I could download it and has just been sitting on my shelf.
I felt this book was slow moving a!d i had a hard time finishing it. I liked the concept but it w*s not an easy read for me.
Play by Piper Lawson is a fun, light enjoyable read that I ate up. Payton looks like her life is completely together, but under the surface she is lonely, constantly worried about keeping her mom from ruin and in desperate need of an actual man in her bed (not that BOB isn't doing an admirable job, but a flesh and blood man would be even better). When her firm represents Max's firm, their first moment is definitely memorable, if not unconventional. They do not start off on the right foot, but over time definite sparks start flying. Soon the hunky nerd and sarcastic woman with a heart of gold can't stay away from each other and being along for the ride was all kinds of fun entertainment. Play also started a fabulous cast of secondary characters and the witty sarcastic dialogue Piper Lawson does so well.
This was my first book by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. It was fun, sexy, and engaging. I enjoyed the interactions between the two main characters. The sexual tension elevated at a good pace as the book progressed. I love finding new authors to recommend. I will be keeping my eye out for more books by Piper Lawson.
