Did not finish. I wasn't a fan of the first book, but I wanted to give this a chance anyway. The writing was underdeveloped and the world building hardly was enough to have a presence. I unfortunately didn't get too far to have more of an opinion, but I could not continue for the life of me.

I had to DNF Pintip Dunn books, I think, the book is not my cup of tea. I tried to go along reading, but it's really not possible on my end. I end up getting on a loop

This whole trilogy is fantastic. The way Dunn planted clues early on that came to fruition later in the series was something I really liked.

Please excuse the vagueness, it is hard to review in detail without accidentally dropping any spoilers for the first book in the series.
But what I can say is this is equally as strong as the first. Even more, so considering we get to learn so much more about the world and a similar set of characters,
Set 10 years after the first book this follows a different character's story.
It was equally as action-packed as the first and flew by. The sci-fi aspects were incredible, once again but the way Dunn tells it makes it easy to follow and understand.
The only thing that knocked it down for me was the strong themes of love.
I cant recommend this book enough and I am going to jump straight into the third instalment.

I didn't enjoy this second book quite as much as the first but my opinions may change once I have read the next instalment as this is an ongoing series. This one seemed a little repetitive to me.

3.5 Stars. Definitely didn’t like it as much as the first book, but I still love the overall story of this. All of the technology and science is very interesting. I also really liked Tanner. My major issue is some of the repetitive phrases throughout the book. Excited to see how the series wraps up with the last book.

Review: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Remember Yesterday is the second instalment in author Pintip Dunn's Forget Tomorrow series and I was a little iffy about reading it as it is told from Sixteen-year-old Jessa Stone’s character rather than her twin sister, Callie Stone’s POV and ten years in the future; I don’t tend to enjoy series with character changes but thank goodness this worked out well.

It is hard to review this without giving spoilers for the first book so my apologies for some evasiveness. The first book ending was a huge shock and set the scene; Remember Yesterday follows through with some interesting revelations which are a game changer for TechRa and the citizens of Eden City, we receive answers to questions from the first book and we learn more about Jessa and her interesting ability.

Jessa was TechRa’s study subject when she was just a small child so she holds a huge grudge against them but when a vision shows a glimpse of the future and a rebellion against future memories and a possible genocide she aligns herself with the enemy hurting those closest to her.

Jessa was a strong, noble character and despite not always agreeing with her choices I could understand why. Working with her enemy, scientist Tanner Callahan she’ll do anything in her power to change the past and save Callie.

I thoroughly enjoyed the enemies to more romance between Jessa and Tanner who was the creator of Future memories, they had more in common than they originally thought and ended up working really well as a team. Tanner was a wonderfully fleshed out character and my heart hurt for what he had endured.

Pintip Dunn’s world-building is phenomenal, the plot flowed at a fast pace and the characters are well-developed and likeable except of course for Chairwoman Dresden who was pure evil! There were twists and turns aplenty and many heart tugging moments, I am not usually a fan of time travel but it worked well in this book.

Pintip Dunn’s writing cannot be faulted, I enjoyed every engrossing moment and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, Seize Today which is Olivia Dresden and Jessa’s best friend Ryder Russell’s book.

Damn what an awesome book. Of course I love this second book. I mean I miss Callie. But her sister Jessa is just as cool. We are ten years into the future from when Callie died. So we meet an older Jessa, who thinks she isn't good enough. That everyone loved her sister and wasted her time saving the unimportant sister. But what she doesn't realize everything that is happening is for a reason, she just doesn't know it yet.
Jessa, officially meets Tanner who is a scientist and thinks he is God's gift, so perfect. But as we know from reading the first book everyone isn't as they seem. While Jessa is always doing near death adventures and causing trouble she learns a secret that few only know about and have been keeping it a secret for 10 years.
She realizes she has to go back to the past to change and save things. But can she travel back in time without messing up the present or future? Will she forgive Tanner for what he knows and has done without realizing it? Everything is up to Jessa, the girl who thinks the wrong sister died.
I'm reading the 3rd book now.

I have loved this series from the beginning, and this was a perfect ending. I liked that we had a change in narrator, in keeping with the first 2 books. Book 1 was from Callie's POV, book 2 from Jessa's, and this third book was from the POV of Olivia Dresden, daughter of the Chairwoman and the only true precognitive in New Eden.

I was happy to see all of the important characters from the first 2 books involved in this final installment -- Callie and Logan, Jessa and Tanner, Mikey and Angela and Ryder, and Callie and Jessa's parents, as well as the Chairwoman and Olivia. It was "fun" to see if and how the future memories of the characters that we'd seen in the first 2 books would play out, and whether or not Olivia's visions of the future would come to pass.

I really liked Olivia, and I enjoyed the story from her perspective. That's one great thing about the trilogy as a whole -- all 3 of the narrators were likable and easy to root for, and I was invested in each girl's story. In this book, we got closer to Olivia, of whom we'd only seen a little in the previous books. You could really feel her pain with respect to her relationship with her mother, who remained as despicable as she had been before. At the same time, we got to learn more about the Chairwoman's past and her motives for all of the awful things she'd done. While I don't think I could've done what she did, we at least got to learn *why* she did these things we see as horrendous, and how she truly believed she was doing the right thing.

I'll leave it at that so as not to give anything away, but I'll end with this: SEIZE TODAY is a great ending to a wonderful series! I'm really glad I read this series, and I can't wait to get to Pintip's 2 standalone books, THE DARKEST PART and GIRL ON THE VERGE, both of which are sitting on my shelf!

Thanks to Entangled Teen for the early review copy. This is my honest rating and review.

I loved Pintip’s debut Forget Tomorrow, it was a fast paced dystopian full of twists and turns and I found myself flying through the pages. Remember Yesterday is set ten years after the events of Forget Tomorrow and actually focuses on Callie’s younger sister Jessa. I was a little hesitant because I loved Callie as a main character but my fears were for naught because I actually ended up enjoying Jessa’s story just as much if not more.

Jessa has struggled for the past ten years, she’s forever haunted that Callie sacrificed her life so she could live. Callie’s memory is famous; she will forever be the girl who stopped future memory and the awful consequences that came with them. However Jessa is unable to live her life without her sister and instead focuses everything on taking revenge no matter how big or small on the scientist’s who ruined her life.

Jessa was a fantastic main character and I was totally able to relate to her loss and grief. During the events after Callie’s death, I forgot just how young Jessa was at the time and it really put everything in perspective, Jessa’s strength of character was really moving and inspiring. Also her relationship with my beau Logan was so adorable <3

Pintip added the wonderful element of time-travel, which really turned the plot on its head, which meant that my head was nearly exploding with all the possibilities of what could happen. Another thrilling part of the book was the romance. Now I was major shipper of Callie and Logan but Jessa and Tanner have managed to become my favourite. Tanner is basically Jessa’s worst nightmare; he’s a scientist and one that’s directly involved in working with future memory and the very people who took Callie from her. Their relationship had all the hatred, heat and angst I live for so I honestly couldn’t read their scenes fast enough.

Overall Remember Yesterday was a perfectly paced, action-packed follow up. Pintip has again worked her magic when it comes to plot twists that will leave you more than a little wounded and I am more than ready and a little worried for book three and to see how this explosive series will end.

It's another series from Forget Tomorrow and it's such a wonderful feeling reading a very well written book. Pintip Dunn, you are such amazing author!!

Remember Yesterday is a continuation from Forget Tomorrow wherein this second book is told from Jessa's perspective. Jessa is Callie twin sister but she is born few years after Callie. In this story, is a journey of Jessa, who just discovered her sister still alive despite knowing her dead when Callie injected poison into her body.

In this journey, Pintip Dunn has injected a blooming romance between Jessa and her enemy, Tanner Callahan. Both of them actually has a perfect chemistry that makes them a perfect couple. Anyway, Tanner is a Scientist prodigy and he works with Chairwoman Dresden.

Also, I love the part when Jessa and Tanner are on a spectacular journey to the past. Visiting their old self. How everything happened in the first book makes a perfect sense. It's really left me awestruck. I never thought what happened in the first installment is because what it is in this new journey. You need to read to know what am I talking about because I'm trying my best to avoid a spoiler here.

Pintip Dunn is definitely an amazing author. It's a very well written book. I love the plot of the story and I really do enjoy every bit of it.

I received an eARC of this book via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of this review.

I loved Remember Yesterday by Pintip Dunn! It was a thrilling read from start to finish. The way the author told the story and brought it basically full circle had me like: It was perfect!!! Set ten years after Forget Tomorrow, this book follows Jessa Stone in a world without her sister.

I loved Jessa! She is such a relatable character. It was easy to put myself in her shoes and empathize with her feelings, her struggles, her hopes and dreams. She was the sister who was supposed to die. Everyone remembers Callie and her sacrifice. No one remembers that as much as Jessa, who was only six when she witnessed her sister kill herself to stop the future: a future of genocide. Jessa is reckless, an adrenaline junkie with no plans for her future. She wanders aimlessly and misses her sister, her other half every day, every moment.

The world looks different than the one Callie changed. There are no more future memories and those that received them have either forgotten them or cling to them in the hopes they will still come to fruition. Logan is one of those that clings. Callie was in his vision and he hopes daily that she somehow survived. The Harmony commune and the Underground signed a treaty with ComA to return to civilization IF they would keep silent on why they left in the first place. No one in society knows what was done to those that received criminal memories. No one knows what Callie sacrificed, except those that loved her. Jessa will never forget.

Tanner Callahan, the Father of Future Memories, is just a teen like Jessa in this book. His discovery hasn’t happened yet and thanks to Callie, Jessa and the Underground hope it never will. But Tanner isn’t all he seems. My heart broke over and over for this lost boy. An orphan, raised by TechRa (the scientists), his life is nothing like Jessa thought it was and I just can’t even talk about it.

Jessa and Tanner’s relationship is perfect. I love how the author built a foundation for their romance before jumping into the teen lust. In fact, I may have liked Jessa and Tanner more than Logan and Callie. It was different, steamier but sweeter as they understand each other like no one else can.

The time travel aspect of this novel was what I was hoping for in Forget Tomorrow. I won’t go to into detail as I don’t want to spoil the story, but I will say it’s great! It answers some questions the series brought up with Callie’s sacrifice.

Overall I loved this book!!! Have I said that already? Jessa and Tanner make an interesting couple and the twists that the author throws at us in this book….seriously, I have heart palpitations! If you enjoyed the first book of the series or you enjoy sci-fi/dystopia, I highly recommend you grab a copy. It doesn’t disappoint!

After the ending of Forget Tomorrow I desperately needed to know what was going to happen in book two, Remember Yesterday. My heart dropped after reading the first few sentences, my worst fears for the story were right there in black and white. But then I hoped beyond hope that things were still not as they seemed and carried on.

Remember Yesterday takes place ten years after that heart-wrenching ending of book one and is narrated by Jessa, Callie's sister. I was a little worried I would not feel the same connection with Jessa as I did Callie but was pleasantly surprised how quickly I realized I really liked her just as well. That along with the fact that there was lots of action and romance but also some cool time travel, made this a fast paced exciting read. I loved getting to see how the characters from the first book were now in their lives ten years later and am really excited to read the next book in the series. I really like this series so far and the writing style. I would love to read more books by this author in the future.

Remember Yesterday (Forget Tomorrow #2)
Pintip Dunn
My Review: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I'm loving this series. The first book was Callie's story, which I would recommend you read before and remember yesterday is her sister's instalment.

Jessa has always felt like she has an impossible position to fill. Callie gave up everything so Jessa could have her own life, but finding your own way in the world isn't easy especially when everyone has high expectation of you. Jessa just wants to do her part even if it's only freeing laboratory animals. When on a rescue mission she is bitten by one of the creatures she is trying to save. This creates a glitch which enables her to discover the truth about Callie.

Tanner is an upcoming scientist and works for the enemy. He performs his experiments on animals. He is the complete opposite of what Jessa likes, but when she takes a closer look at him he isn't all she expected.

Secrets, lies and twist at every turn. Loved this book just as much as the last one. With the 3rd book out at the beginning of October nows the time to get your head in this book.

5 stars out of 5.

ARC received in exchange for a fair review.

This book was not what I expected. The cover is lovely and the synopsis sounds interesting but I just could not get into this story

And just when I thought my heart couldn't hurt anymore by this series, Pintip Dunn just takes it and rips it up some more. I mean, my god, my heart can only take so much breakage.

It's hard to review this book without spoiling some things from the first book. So if you haven't read the first book yet, read this review rather cautiously.

But damn, if this isn't a great series so far. In this one, we follow the life of Jessa, Callie's sister. Jessa is 16 years old and boy, she is a very angry and hurt child. And with good reason too!

I mean, that alone hurt my heart. This poor child truly felt like no one really cared for her. Sure, they all loved her by association to Callie but it wasn't ever really true love. My heart really broke for this girl.

I did find it a little hard to connect to Jessa in the beginning. Her POV was a bit different then Callie's. She was ruled a little more by emotion then Callie was. But, as the story progressed, I found that I connected to Jessa more and more. I felt the resentment that she felt from her mom and everybody that was a part of Harmony. I chalked it up to her just been a moody teenager but then she started to interacted with different people and I was just like wow.

The relationship that developed between Tanner and Jessa was unusual at first. I didn't quite understand it. I thought it was a hate to love trope, which I am always down for, but Tanner was more enamoured with her than what that trope demands. Of course, I judged too quickly and the story behind their relationship was explained. I now fully support it and I find that it makes a lot more sense than in the beginning.

I'm still very unsure of Harmony and the leader. Things were kind of proven to me during this book and I was glad for it. Because I hate feeling paranoid and have it turn out to be nothing. I still think that there is more to Harmony than what meets the eye and I hope my suspicions turn out right.

Overall, I'm still loving this series. I am anxious to see what the conclusion is. The blurb from the third book says the POV is from Olivia, the Chairwoman's daughter. Should be interesting to get inside her mind, as she can see the future and just the fact that she is the Chairwoman's daughter. I just so badly want everything to work out for everybody, even Harmony.

“Remember Yesterday” is an incredible sequel in the “Forget Tomorrow” series. While the second books in a trilogy often seem to lag and just consist of filler to drag out the series, this book was just as engaging and plot-filled as the first- maybe even more so! This book occurs 10 years after the first, in the future which has been radically altered by Callie’s actions in the first. Jessa is now 16 years old and living back in the city. As future memory began to disappear due to the altered timeline, the society has had to adapt. Jobs can’t be given based on future memories, and people have to go back to making their own ways in the world. Despite this, the company is hard at work researching how future memories can be reinstated.

Jessa has had a tough go of things. Since Callie sacrificed herself, she has felt adrift in the world. Logan took her to Harmony, where she lived for several years until a treaty with Eden City brought them back into the world. During that time, her mother remained in the city and she felt very alone. She was treated like an adopted daughter of Mikey and Angela, who had adopted Ryder. She and Ryder are like siblings, having grown up together. There’s a big part of Jessa that feels like the wrong person died that day and that feels unloved. She acts out in part by sabotaging experiments and freeing lab rodents. During one such escapade, she gets bitten by a rodent which had a special kind of virus and the following events change everything she thought she knew about her world and its future.

The rodents also happened to belong to Tanner Callahan, a seemingly stuck-up scientist who was raised by the government/company who controlled future memories. Jessa has never particularly liked Tanner, but then again, she didn’t know him very well. The romance that builds between them is sweet and a lovely addition to an engaging sci-fi adventure. This book was nearly impossible to put down as the plot moves quickly and we never know who can be trusted. I was really interested in the revelations from/by Olivia, who I think we will learn more about in the third book, but there are some really intriguing ideas that come from discussions with her.

Overall, I think sci-fi and dystopian YA lovers will really enjoy this intense, action-packed sci-fi/romance, set in an intriguing dystopian future. There’s really something for everybody in this book, and it’s a fantastic addition to what is quickly becoming one of my favorite series.

Please note that I received an e-copy from the publisher through netgalley. All opinions are my own.

Remember Yesterday is rich in emotion. The book started with a touching scene that will later have a significant impact on one of the character’s decisions. Characters in this book felt worthless and abandoned. They were doubting themselves. They believed they deserved less. They were sad, and my heart goes out to them.

This book revolved around time travel – how it took people away and how it gave people back. Scenes from Forget Tomorrow resurfaced, and mysteries were unraveled. Some questions about Future Memory were answered. And there’s more to Olivia’s vision of the genocide.

The book also presented the relationships within families – there’s so much love and forgiveness in this book. It was painful to read about the things characters did for their loved ones, but I admire the courage behind the sacrifices made.

I could tell that the story was carefully planned and cleverly executed. I talked to Pintip right after reading and I mostly used words in uppercase letters because of all the feels.

Remember Yesterday healed broken hearts from Forget Tomorrow. With its twists and revelations, the book is a sequel that did not disappoint, building anticipation for Seize Today and expanding the world introduced to readers in Forget Tomorrow. Hugs to Pintip for writing this precious sequel that deserves 5 stars. ❤

Remember Yesterday

When I read the first book in this series I knew it would become one of my favorites! It still is and with each passing installment the expectations shoot up and the author meets and exceeds them every time! It has been a while since I have been immersed in this series so I was happy to see there was a novella in Logan’s POV. I scooped it up right away and was thrown into this world I have grown to love. I cannot stress the level of intelligence and imagination that’s required to pull off a story of this magnitude. There are stories that are linear point A to point B. Stories that jump from past to present and vise versa. There are stories that incorporate past present and future. BUT none that are as intricate and involved and so perfectly in sync as the Forget Tomorrow series. Seriously, I was nerding out by the end of this installment I could not believe my four little eyes! Bravo Mrs. Dun Bravo!

The Story, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this installment I’ve never read a sequel that takes place 10 years later but the Author really does a marvelous job! The first book in the series follows Callie as the lead Remember Yesterday follows Jessa her little sister that isn’t little anymore. Jessa is determined to make sure her sisters sacrifice was not in vein. After one of Jessa’s missions to stop the scientists doesn’t go as planned she needs intel from Tanner she needs to find out exactly what happened to her and what will happen to her. This means she must befriend the enemy which she is loathe to do but the truth is at the tip of her fingers and she cannot say no. I enjoyed the development of characters and though I missed Callie and Logan terribly I could not put this down. I read through the night for this one, I just had to find out what was next and could not stop myself until there was no more to read.

The Characters, everyone is back well almost everyone. Jessa is no longer the 6 year old girl that was tortured by people trying to unlock her mind she has become a determined and steadfast gal. She and her best friend have been getting into trouble since she can remember. Tanner my goodness he was perfect the was the right amount of everything to make him sooooooo swoon worthy! Logan, boy oh boy his presence is a gentle reminder of what happened ten years ago. Though none of the characters are perfect they all provide pivotal help where needed most. I cannot get into details without revealing the tendrils of awesome that make up this story just know that each is placed perfectly. Also know the execution is magnificent.

The End, Mind BLOWN. I pretty much want to leave it at that but give me a second to gush without giving anything away. Our suspicions about a certain character in the last book turn out to be true and the result is nothing short of perfect. The memories and events are tied together in perfect synchronicity I could not have asked for a more delicious nerd meal than what the ending turned out to be. To say I’m excited about the next book would be a gross understatement. I am waiting on baited breath for the next and EVERYONE who enjoys great reads needs to pick this up!

My Rating
5.0 HOLY LIMBO!! I need more!! Stat! October cannot come soon enough ! This was such a fun read I couldn’t sleep epic filled stars!!!
