I am reviewing a copy of Letters to Follow through Tendril Press and Netgalley:
Dance is the central character in the conclusion to the conclusion of Eger’s dance trilogy. It enters the stage with grace through the life of the main character Lynne Meadows.
Those who are fans of Mitch Albom will enjoy this beautifully written story. it’s ballet that spins, and lifts the events that shape the identity of Miss Meadows.
In this book Lynne shares her impressions in letters and postcards between performance venues, in the late 1950’s, European summer might have looked like 55 years ago.
I give Letters to Follow five out of five stars !
Happy Reading!
It's a very frenetic book plenty of characters and mobility. Very good!
Ballerina Lynne is having a rough time at her dance school. Not only is Suzette driving her mad but Madame Cosper seems to be using her as her latest whipping girl too. Then Madame stuns her by agreeing to let her join a dancing tour in France for the summer. Her uncle Leo agrees to pay for Lynne’s journey to France in exchange for driving him around Europe for a few weeks so everything seems to be falling into place. Lynne can’t believe her luck. This is an opportunity of a lifetime. She is all set to go when she meets Noel, a local cattle rancher. He seems like the ideal man, but Lynne is going to be away for a few months. Will he wait for her or move on?
What a lovely read. Although it is set in 1959, often you forget because the themes of hard work, trials and friendship transcend time. I loved the details on the life of a ballerina as well as Lynne’s unique trials and her relationships. If you want an uplifting girly read, this is the one for you.
