Description
Dance, the central character, enters the stage with a tour jeté and then pirouette’s gracefully through the life of Lynne Meadows. Her story is reminiscent of the main character (music), which heralds the life of Frankie in Mitch Albom’s The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto. More specifically it’s ballet that spins, and lifts the events that shape the identity of Miss Meadows to whom Ms. Eger introduced to her loyal readers just three short years ago.
This conclusion to Eger’s dance trilogy, glides into Lynne’s world with backward glances at the fortunes and falls that bring her to the commencement of an exciting and grueling adventure as a member of a dance troupe traveling in Europe during the summer of 1959.
If dance is the mode, communiqués become the medium, Lynne dashes off her impressions in letters and post cards between performance venues to provide a tantalizing peek into what a European summer might have looked like 55 years ago.
Her adventure continues when she drives her charismatic and scatter-brained Uncle Leo around Europe. To keep her sanity, Lynne continues to write letters and postcards. These are no ordinary correspondence.
