Not all book there are for learning. Kids also need some laughing and fun. This book is light theme book for kids to enter into world of grossie things kids can do. Those who dislike that can skip this book.
I LOVED this book. The rhyming style and beautiful illustrations combine to make a funny and enjoyable book about a little boy who loves to eat boogers. I highly recommend this book!
Ack. Gross Greg, indeed. I’m sure this book was trying to teach kids NOT to eat their boogers, but it was still gross. (Hence, the title.) I did like the illustrations and most of the rhymes.

EWWWW! Gross Greg is gross indeed!
He's also a typical little kid who likes to pick his nose - and, um - you-know-what. The pictures are primary colour bright, the rhymes are simple and not particularly memorable, but the light-hearted disgust of his sister and parents will delight little kids and they will learn to read.
Which is kinda the point, right?
Thanks to NetGalley, author Alan Irby, and Independent Publishers. I'm sure kids will love Gross Greg! Blech!
[I did include a particularly 'tasty' picture in my Goodreads review!]
This is a cute and funny story about a little boy named Greg that likes to eat boogers. As a parent, I definitely have some experience in this department. I wasn't a fan of the pictures. I thought they could have been better, and I thought the ending was a bit abrupt. It didn't quite flow as nicely as I would have liked. But overall, my kids had a good laugh and we enjoyed this read.
I loved his book and how it represented several African-American characters in a unordinary light. However, the subject matter is a little too gross at times.
I did not care for this book. Normally I can't wait to share a new book with my classroom of 5 yr olds but this is one I did not share . We try to discourage children from nose picking and this book just seems to encourage it.
I loved this book. I loved the silly story, the fun illustrations, how it rhymed, and how it was really gross. Children will love this book. Adults may cringe when he eats his boogers, but I think they'll laugh at it too, just like I did. I think this book will be welcome especially at home, but school libraries would be great too to help encourage reading as it is so fun to read.
