Book six in the Wildflower Ranch series a well written story with a good storyline. Peta Dixon and Garrett Ross gets of to a rocky start when she comes home from her vacation to find him in her ranch house. Things have gone wrong in the places he was suppose to stay in and he had to move into the ranch house until things where corrected. I enjoyed seeing this story come together. I especially liked the surprise their friends and family gets as they are sitting down to Christmas dinner. This is a new Author to me, I now want to read the rest of this series.
Headstrong cowgirl Peta Dixon has put her life on hold this Christmas to prove she can run her ranch as well as any man. There isn’t anything she can’t ride, fix, or stare down, and the only things to scare her are long hemlines and sky-high heels. Self-made rancher Garrett Ross normally doesn’t take orders – he gives them. But when asked to step in to act as a temporary foreman on a Montana ranch over the holidays, he can’t refuse. Yet when Garrett meets the beautiful and stubborn ranch owner, he realizes he’s signed on for a whole lot of trouble. Cynical and jaded, he has no time for feelings. And when Peta meets the man she’s to share her life with until Christmas, she discovers she no longer wants to be the person others expect her to be…
This was another cowboy holiday read. It has two strong-willed characters and a case of preconceived notions of each other. I liked following both characters as they interacted with each other and fellow in love. It was a quick read and great for holiday time. I recommend for anyone that likes this genre.

Back again in small town at Marietta, Montana.
Peta is finally back at her Bluebell Falls ranch after traveling abroad with her sister and finds her ranch is occupied by someone else Garrett Ross. Their first impression of each other wasn't very pleasant at least.
When Garrett saw Peta, he doubted her ability as strong cowgirl that she always have been known for and Peta didn't think much of Garrett either.
Both were doubting each other ability but they had to work together. When both realizes their first impression was way off, they started to work together in sync except Garrett had his secret of his own.
Their time at the ranch working together is only up until Christmas and Peta is slowly realizing she wants to have him around longer than Christmas.
Both are falling for each other, but Garrett's secret is catching up to them and it is creating more drama for Peta ever expected.
Will Peta and Garrett find their own happy ending at Bluebell Falls Ranch?
I always enjoy reading all the series from Marrietta, Montana. So many characters but they all tied in somehow.
I think I am going to slow down on my cowboy romances. Even though I liked this story and give it a good rating, I found this book....lacking enthusiasm. The cover is gorgeous and the plot sit very well for me, but I felt like the story just didn't quite sit well within my heart. That isn't to say the story is good. I liked the characters and the romance but it felt like I more or less read this exact type of story before. It didn't feel too different for me. But I am sure that is more on me than the author.
Now this does not stop me from following the author, but I just think a break from the norm would be good. So if you are looking for the normal cowboy romance, especially a holiday one, this will fit beautifully.
I give this' book a THREE SHOOTING STARS!
At last it's Peta's turn! I've enjoyed her in her siblings' books and was excited to read hers. Peta is a tough cookie who does a fabulous job running her ranch. When she goes to Europe with her sister, she has to leave it for a while. A string of issues means that Garrett ends up stepping in as foreman. When Peta comes home, sparks fly!
Peta's slow discovery of her femininity throughout the book is fun to watch. She's never been a girly girl so seeing her in dresses and wondering what she should wear was different and gave her a nice character arc. Garrett's emotional struggles and his loyalty were the perfect touch to draw me in. That they both misjudged the other and then had to start over with cool.
Against the backdrop of a Marietta Christmas, Peta and Garrett were a couple who not only struck sparks but also kept the homefires burning. They are a perfect match. I really liked this book, especially getting to read Peta's story. I like the pairing and I like how they work together.
