Description
Even a ruff start can have a happy ending!
When three spoiled dogs get word that their humans are expecting a baby, the pups worry and worry and worry some more. After all, they’ve never lived with a tiny baby before.
What about trips to the park? Naps on the couch? And what if he likes the cats—the cats!—more than he likes them?
Children expecting a little brother or sister of their own will be pleased to learn that these newest additions to the family are not so rotten after all.
A beautifully told story of three dogs’ worries when they get word of a new baby on the way, Maybe the Baby proves that big sisters and brothers—whether they have two legs or four—are just as special.

This is a cute book about a trio of dogs who panic when they find out that mom is having a baby. They imagine that everything will go wrong. Maybe the Baby will like the cats better etc. Of course when the baby comes, it turns out all their worrying was for naught. What a great little story for children who are worried about mom's and dad's attention when the new baby arrives. I really liked this story and my grandson did as well. He thought the dogs were pretty silly. He has a 6 month old baby sister and we were able to equate that to the story. The illustrations were done in muted colours with cute drawings, almost dreamlike. A good book for family libraries.
This was a lovely book. It’s a dog's point of view about having a new baby in the house. Of course they are worried. Things will change, but will it be fun? Will they get annoyed? Will they have to go live with the neighbor mouse. It’s an adorable rhyming story. I love the interior pictures, but feel the cover needs work. I can not explain why, just that I think it does.
