OMG....right now that I am actually remembering to breath and my pounding heart beat has returned to its normal rate,I now feel calm enough to write my review of this fast paced, action packed, gripping thriller.

It should have been a routine job.Joe Hunter and his associates are hired to provide security for an elite event in Miami.Wear a tux, stay professional, don't get into any trouble, job done.

But trouble seems to follow Joe Hunter around like a very faithful dog or a very bad smell.

Hunter is drawn into what appears to be a domestic altercation. After he crosses the mysterious Mikhail however Hunter soon finds that this chance encounter will have serious repercussions for him and his friends.Soon good people are being killed, and Joe finds himself on the run,in the line of fire and rapidly running out of time.

This heart pounding, action thriller is narrated by Joe Hunter and a number of other characters including Joe's friend Rink.Joe's chapters are voiced in the first person pov while the other chapters are voiced in the third. It's a fast paced, roller coaster ride that rockets along at a rapid pace and is packed full of gun battles, has car and boat chases, evil, twisted villains, likeable heroes, there's even a feisty, gutsy female thrown into the mix.

Although I haven't read any of the other books in this series that didn't spoil my enjoyment of this book,it can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone.I would love to watch a film adaptation of this book or a tv series based on Joe Hunters adventures.I really really enjoyed this gripping thriller.luckily for me I have eleven more Joe Hunter books to catch up on.

Always waiting for the next Joe Hunter novel I was delighted to be able to review, Marked For Death. What started off as a routine security job turned into anything but. When hunter walks in on millionaire, Viskhan knocking his wife about he quickly steps in and intervenes, knocking the man to the ground.. Not the sort of person to forgive and forget such an affront Viskhan takes his men that he has put together for another more devastating task and orders them to find and kill his wife and Hunter. This leads to a chase over Miami with many bodies left along the way. Rink finds Hunter and when they find out what Viskhan and his mercenaries are planning to do and the mayham and devastation it will cause if their plan is successful, the hunted become the hunters, and when the bullets start flying and people are dying Hunter and Rink head towards they conflict planning to wipe out Viskhan and his band for good. A very good unputdownable, entertaining read that keeps you reading even when you know you should put it down and go to sleep. Just what we have come to expect from Matt Hilton..

Suspenseful, gripping, and exceptionally fast-paced!

This is an adrenaline-pumping thrill ride that immerses you in the dark, gritty underworld of gun smuggling and sex trafficking and reminds us that evil often exists closer than you think.

The writing is well done and well paced. The characters are tenacious, tough, smart, dangerous and protective. And the plot is a riveting tale of murder, revenge, corruption, power, hatred, manipulation, abuse, survival and terror.

Overall, I have to say that Hilton has written another winner with this latest outing in the Joe Hunter series. It's exciting, highly entertaining and bursting with so much tension, action and adventure that it's impossible not to be completely captivated and enthralled from start to finish.

Thank you to Matt Hilton and Canelo for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.

A very fast paced novel and exactly the type of story I love.
Naturally, comparisons will be drawn between the main character and Flynn's Mitch Rapp, Lee Child's Reacher and Rob Sinclair's Logan but Matt Hilton's hero Hunter, a former special forces turned security officer certainly isn't left wanting.
Tense all the way through with some moments of real humour ("He could make a fence post look hyperactive") this novel is a page turner which leaves you rooting for the right people all the way through.
