Description
Advance Praise
“Manticore puts the Oz back in Oz. Brutal, charming, and unrelenting. Scariest in how relevant it is today.”
--JT Petty, writer of Outlast
"Dark, disturbing and nihilistic and that's even before you get to the heart of the story. Manticore is the type of mystery story that grabs you by the throat very quickly. Keith Miller and Ian Gabriel build a fully realized world within the walls of the Pensacola Federal Prison Camp. It's creepy and I found myself drawn in."
--Jamal Igle, Writer/ Artist (Black,
Molly Danger, Venture)
"Manticore is The Green Mile of gore comics, a splattery, face-chewing mini-epic on lockdown about life on the inside."
--Grady Hendrix, Author of My Best
Friend's Exorcism

A dark tale of a brutal prison with a possibly supernatural prisoner of unknown but lethal power. The main protagonist is a possibly falsely convicted white collar criminal placed into a high security prison filled with violent and murderous felons. He is brutalized. The guards are corrupt. Prisoners attack each other. Guards beat the prisoners without cause. Enter an unknown prisoner sent by authorities higher in the beaurocratic food chain. Some of the most dangerous prisoners start dying, torn to shreds. One suspects superhuman powers.
