I thought that this book was an ok read, I did like that the Spanish was written and then the English underneath so you could learn words from both languages if you wanted too. It is a simple book that would be good for young children and early readers as there is an awful lot of rhyming and repetition - which is exactly what they need to learn, even if I'm not a huge fan! 3 stars from me.
This whimsical story is a wonderful introduction to the youngest Spanish or English learners.
Time to sleep and dream in this bilingual beginning book from Hillert.
I really like the Dear Dragon books to teach youngsters to read. The illustrations are fresh and when I read them with my grandson, he loves talking about the pictures. This is a bilingual book with both the Spanish and English printed on each page. In this story our young boy falls asleep and dreams he is a knight. He eventually finds an egg and out hatches a small dragon. A cute story with repetitive words for our new readers. I love the extra things at the back for teachers and parents such as word lists, phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension activities. A great book for primary classrooms and family libraries. This book will help build confidence in a beginning reader.
