When people learn that they have low self-esteem their next question to their therapist is usually “How do we fix this?” In responding to this question I have for years recommended Dr. Sorensen’s books to my clients. Now, Dr. Sorensen has written a manual that for the first time makes her entire low self-esteem recovery program available to the public! I am looking forward to the next time a client asks me that difficult “How?” question and I can say, “The Sorensen Low Self Esteem Recovery Program is the best place to start!

This is a great book for anyone who wants to learn more about the symptoms of self-esteem, whether it’s for yourself or parents to help understand what their children may be experiencing. I experienced so many of these symptoms as a child but didn’t know what it all meant at the time. There are a lot of exercises in the book that sound very helpful and insightful. I like how the author sees low-self esteem as a separate issue than mental illness, I never really thought of it that way before.
