Description
Liyah Reed returns to the Middle East hoping for something more than her humdrum life back at home, but what she finds is beyond her wildest dreams...
Five years after her first stay as a foreign exchange student, American librarian Liyah returns to the Middle East. The move goes against her practical nature, but even a plain jane like herself sometimes thirsts for adventure. When a favor for a friend thrusts her into the path of beguiling billionaire Asad Sharif, Liyah’s sensible life may become something far more…sensual. Liyah is ensnared by Asad’s seductive charm, but she’s way out of her depth. However with a push from Asad’s meddling sister, Liyah is soon leading the lavish lifestyle of a sheikha.
Billionaire businessman Asad Sharif has willing women falling at his feet on multiple continents, but what he needs is a wife...or at least the appearance of one. To convince investors that he’s a dependable man, what Asad needs is a fake fiancée. The bookish American Liyah is the perfect choice, and when she accepts his pretend proposal, Asad’s sister is eager to help Liyah look the part. When his shy wallflower unexpectedly blooms into a stunning beauty, Asad will have to work doubly hard not to lose himself in Liyah’s strawberry blonde hair and enticing curves.
In the playground of the wealthy Middle Eastern elite, things are getting hotter than ever for the sheikh and his would-be sheikha, but all fake marriages must eventually come to an end...

Leslie North is the pen name for a critically-acclaimed author of women's contemporary romance and fiction. The anonymity gives her the perfect opportunity to paint with her full artistic palette, especially in the romance and erotic fantasy genres.
The truth of the matter is she loves her fictional persona, Leslie North, more than her normal, day-to-day persona! Her bestselling books focus on strong characters and particularly women who aren't afraid to challenge an alpha male. Inspired after years of travel, her stories are set all over the world, from the tough streets of Russia to the beautiful beaches of the middle east.
Leslie fell in love with romance when she first picked up a scrappy, dog-eared romance book from her local library. She began writing soon after and the rest, as they say, was history. She now lives in a cozy cottage on the British coast and enjoys taking long walks with her two Dalmatians, George and Fergie.

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
After 5 years, Liyah is back to the Middle East to visit her exchange-mother.
For Liyah, it was good to be back.
She had loved her time here as an exchange student.
Asad is accustomed to power that comes with being a Sheik.
However, the business investors still see him as the playboy.
Asad's sister came up w/ the idea of a pretend fake fiancée to impress the investors.
Will this pretend fake business succeed ?
Will Asad + Liyah both get want they want ?
Loved the storytelling + the characters!
Liyah Reed was a foreign exchange student in Dubai five years ago. She has since graduated from college and was working. Her life didn't seem to fit, so she returned to the place she felt the most at home. Liyah is staying with her beloved exchange-mother and attempting to find a job. She helps her friend in a short-staffed lounge and catches the eye of Asad Sharif.
Asad Sharif needs a wife. He is attempting to convince investors in a real estate project that he is a dependable man when they remember him running around his father's estate in diapers. Quiet, bookish American Liyah is his perfect choice. Asad's offer may be the way to help her exchange-mother with her burden of medical bills so she accepts the offer to be his fake fiancee.
When the investors throw in a new loop-hole, the fake fiancee must become the real wife. Can they successfully make the marriage real?
I thought this was a perfect Cinderella story. Liyah is the jeans and baggy t-shirt girl, simple and understated thrust into the world of the wealthy. There was just the right amount of tension between Liyah and Asad. Their chemistry was white hot when Asad let his guard down. Liyah was a wonderful, caring heroine. I liked how Asad's sister Amira plays the fairy-godmother role toward Liyah.
This was a great start to the series. It was perfect for an afternoon read! I can not wait for the next one!
I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!
