Description
Another night at the races is more than burnt rubber with a hit of nitrous. For one young woman, it's navigating trauma, love, and loss in the stifling Texas heat under the watchful gaze of her brother’s best friend and reigning King of the Streets, Jordan Slater. Home in Arkadia again, Raelynn Casey starts to heal from a terrible incident at college. She finds love in Jordan, a member of her brother’s circle of racing buddies. When another in the racing circle, the guy who took her to her high school prom, exposes his feelings for Raelynn, tragedy erupts like a tank of race fuel. Guilt, remorse, and pain must be overcome before Raelynn and Jordan can race to The Finish Line.

I couldn’t put the book down it’s that good, if you love romance with a fast paced story storyline when this book is for you
A well written fast paced story that will suck you right in . This is the first book I am reading by this author and I really enjoyed this writing style, it was quite engaging and enjoyable. I will recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading a good fast paced romance story.
I have never read this author's work before so this was my first experience and it was quite enjoyable. I immediately wanted to read this book after reading the blurb because I'm very much into street racing, muscle cars, etc., so I was anxious to see if it was what I expected it to be. That being said, it was quite informative as far as street racing goes and it made for a different type of romantic storyline. I liked that the characters are felt like family which is exactly what happens in this type of sport. Would definitely recommend if you want something a little different in your romance library. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
A second chance romance The Finish Line is a good start to the Arkadia Fast series. I like the characters and storyline and will be reading more.
This was a young lovers second chance book, or maybe even third. We read about Rae who has just returned home from college after having a horrible thing happen to her in college. She reacquaintes with her brother’s bestfriends which also includes the love of her life the boy that rejected her and sent her fleeing. These young people go thru so much drama love triangles, death. I found it sad.
This honestly wasn't my cuppa tea I didn't really like this story much I'd give it 3 stars.
I received an arc from Netgalley. The theme just wasn’t for my taste. I am not a fan of second chance romances and the street racing side isn’t my thing either. I would give the author another chance though.
Wow! I really enjoyed this book. It was my first by this author but will not be my last. This book is well written and kept me engaged from the first page to the end. The story has many twist and turns through out the book. I found myself laughing our loud one minute and tearing up the next. I would recommend this book to everyone.
I received a copy from Netgallery for my honest opinion.
This is a very fast paced read that has a lot of
twist and turns in it that grab my attention and
kept it right from the start to finish.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book via NetGalley.
This book had me hooked from the beginning. I love a good bad boy romance and though this one played on a few cliches, I could not put it down.
Rea and Jordan have amazing chemistry! They are fire and their story grabbed me from the first page. I was on the edge of my seat, metaphorically speaking, waiting to see how they were going to find their way to each other. Leslie Scott threw in a number of twists that I did not expect and made me emotional at times.
I would recommend this book to anyone that love a bad boy, fast cars, and strong females. If you are a person that reads romance novels for the steamy details, I will say that Scott supplies many details about the build up. but not as many about the actually act.
