Love. Love. Love! I absolutely fell in love with the Laird of the Black Isle--both the book and the man! Paula Quinn's novel had the right amount of passion, determination, and action in this Scottish romance. Both Lachlan and Mailie were likable characters, but when they were together, they became fantastic! This novel was well-written with just the right mix of characters, vivid descriptions, and an accurate depiction of the Scottish world.
oh my god this book was amazing. I loved it from start to finish. Love the Macgregors and their fierce women. Mailie is no exception. She has a heart of gold and the stubbornness of a true scots. Lachlan is suffering from a broken spirit and a quest of hope. Mailie breaks down all of his barriers and shows him how to live again and tame the mighty dragon.
