Description
The only choice is surrender.
In my world, magic and danger go hand-in-hand. It has from my earliest memory. Magic was currency, and if you have it, you have power. I was shaped by some of the most influential Druids into a lethal weapon. Their weapon.
Until the night they betray me—and I wind up in the hands of my enemy.
He’s nothing but a job for me. To him, I’m the key to finding his father. Too bad I know nothing.
But right now, he’s the only thing keeping me alive, so I’ll do whatever it takes. Yet, if we’re going to survive, it means doing it together.
I’ve never allowed myself to care, to feel. To hope. He shows me a world that was always just out of reach, one I was never meant to be a part of—and a love that burns bright enough to scorch the earth.
Together, we will bring an empire to its knees.

In Blood Skye, Carlyle and Song (Devon) face dangerous circumstances as do Saber, Callum and Kirsi. Just when things appear to be looking up, we learn that Edie is still wreaking havoc. Then there are George, Thomas, Parker, and The Grey who are creating additional chaos. With new and ever increasingly malevolent characters and situations, the tension builds in this fast-paced novel. There is so much that remains unresolved. Donna Grant keeps upping the ante for the Skye Druids as they continue to battle evil. Can't wait until the next book in this series, After Midnight, to find out what happens next.

I have read most of Donna Grants books and they just get better and better with characters you both Love and Hate.
I am teally enjoying this series. The makn characters just can't catch a break. As soon as they have overcome one problem, another pops up to take it's place.
The plot has everything. World building, Good verses Evil, Magic, strong characters and Romance.
Highly recommended

I don’t know what to say. I don’t want to give anything away. Secrets. Enemies to allies to lovers. Steamy.
A London Druid ends up in the hands of the enemy. Betrayed by the ones they have been fighting for. A Knight is looking for his father and learns more than ever expected. He kidnaps the Druid in hopes of finding out where his father is located.
*VOLUNTARILY READ AND REVIEWED FOR NETGALLEY *

This series gets more complex and interesting with every new installment. Evil is all around them. Just when they accomplish a win against bad guys another one takes there place.
“Resentment has long festered within the London Druids, directed at those on Skye.
Shocking revaluation and horrible secrets come to light.
“We’re a force unto ourselves,” Sabryn said. Rhona nodded. “That we are, and I don’t want any of you to forget it. None of us is alone. Look around the room. Take a hard look at those you have fought beside and those you will stand with in the future.
Just can’t wait to see what happens next.

This was a great continuation of this series! I was hooked and determined to see what would happen for Carlyle and Song. They have a great story and such heartbreak as well. You could read this as a stand alone but it would be confusing in some areas without having read the previous books in the series. I was given a copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Wow. And I mean WOW. Just when I thought I had a handle on the labyrinthine twists of Donna Grant’s Dark World, Blood Skye waltzes in, flips the table, and leaves me gasping. This sixth installment of the Skye Druids series—and, at this point, probably my eightieth foray into Grant’s universe—proves that no matter how many books you devour, she still has the power to leave you slack-jawed and craving more.
This book is a whirlwind—no, a full-blown tempest—of betrayals, hidden agendas, and secrets so deep they could shatter entire lives. And oh, does Grant deliver on the drama. The stakes are sky-high, the revelations gut-punching, and just when you think you’ve grasped the full picture, she snatches it away with another jaw-dropping twist.
Let’s talk about Carlyle. Noble, intense, unwavering in his loyalty to his chosen family—if you’re looking for a textbook good character, he is it. And then there’s Song, the haunting result of what malevolence can mold a person into. Two sides of a coin, both shaped by forces beyond their control, both unforgettable in their own right.
Grant’s world-building remains as intricate and immersive as ever, layering magic, conflict, and simmering tension into a breathtaking tapestry. The relationship between Song and Carlyle? Deliciously complicated. Song struggles with trust, Carlyle fights to stay by her side, and the push-pull dynamic keeps you glued to the pages. Their romance is a slow burn, subtle yet potent, with passion that doesn’t need gratuitous prose to make an impact.
And then, the ensemble cast—because what’s a Dark World book without a kaleidoscope of magical, powerful, and often morally ambiguous characters? The requisite evil? Oh, it has many faces, and none of them are here to play nice.
But here’s the kicker: Blood Skye does not tie things up with a neat little bow. No, it ends on a multi-layered, gut-wrenching cliffhanger that will have you screaming at the ceiling. Consider yourself warned.
In short? Blood Skye is a masterclass in tension, a symphony of betrayals, and an unrelenting force that demands to be devoured. If you’re already deep into Grant’s Dark World, buckle up. If you’re new? Well, good luck—because once you enter, there’s no going back.

Good stuff! So yeah, I always love this author’s books! Love the danger and action, and the romances are always top notch! Cool world building throughout the author’s multiple series; love the magical ideas and adventures! This one has a bit of enemies to more going on, which is fun stuff. Carlyle and Song need to team up when things in both of their lives start going wonky. It’s interesting to get more involved in the druid world since they have often been in a negative light. Looking forward to more!

A finely woven plot…
Another well written book from Donna Grant. She has taken us back to Skye, where an evil is still creating problems for the Druids on Skye. Our two main characters, Carlyle who was part of the London Druids, and Devon, whose real name is Song has been associated with the London Druids since she was very young. These two find themselves on the island of Skye where Carlyle has become a supported or the Knights who are fighting against the evil, and Devon has been sent to Skye to assassinate a Druid. From this Donna has woven another intricate story that continues from the previous Skye Druids books while also introduces some favorite characters from her Dark Universe books featuring the Dragon Kings. This is truly an outstanding book, and I cannot wait for the next in her Dark Universe series.
I was given and ARC from the author thru NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

This series is so good. Grant is great at building a magical world full of interesting characters, intense plots and tons of suspense. I have enjoyed every book in the Skye Druids series inducing Blood Skye.
The war between the London and Skye druids continues and the stakes can't be any higher. Carlyle's dad is captive of the London clan. His friend Mason is acting very oddly. Devon is back and cannot be trusted. What is she up to? She seems to be helping when she's an arch enemy. Carlyle needs to find his father before the worst can befall him. Carlyle and Finn end up separated and Carlyle is on the run with Devon of all people. As the two try to solve the mystery of the attack they just escaped, Carlyle begins to doubt his conviction that Devon is a ruthless agent of the London druids. What is her real motivation? Can it really be that she's being forced to do unspeakable acts. Using her long boat to travel to London there is a lot of time to develop a deep attraction.
Arrival in London brings a deadly face-off in which shocking secrets are revealed. The world as both knew it is turned upside down. With a lot of new truths to deal with the two head to Skye to work with the druids there, Carlyle's friends. The story with Kirsi and Callum continues, their contribution to the war and their deep, but denied, affection. Many skirmishes are fought, some won, some still to be faced. There's plenty still to be answered in the next book...or books?
If you love paranormal romances with plenty of suspense and great world building, Blood Skye will be a great read. Even if this isn't your preference, Grant writes well enough to make this a enjoyable still.
Thanks to the author and NetGalley for the ARC.

This is a voluntary review for an advanced copy.
Wow, I can't even find words for the amount of drama involved in this book! Carlyle and Devon were thrown together - enemies but each having a story that brought them to this point in their life. Devon, who is really Song, and I will use that going forward, was raised by the London Druids and really had no choice in her life. So, how will these two enemies become more to each other?
There are so many shocking reveals that I cannot give away because that would absolutely ruin the read of this book - I stayed up way to late too read this book in one sitting. It was just so good and captivating that I could not put it down and as each shocker was revealed, I had to keep reading.
Yes, there are still things that have yet to be revealed and that just adds to the appeal of this book series and now I have to wait for the next book to come out! I want to know who is behind this because it can't be the Ancients talking to Edie, right?!

Love these Skye Druids! This is Carlyle and Songs story, when Carlyle sets out to save his father only 1 person stands in his way, Devon aka Song! I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you for allowing me to read

Loved reading the mesmerizing and spellbinding paranormal story. When Carlyle goes to look for his father, he encounters Song, kidnaps her, she doesn't know where his father is, and as the two of them learn more about each other, they decide to work together to try find Carlyle's dad and Song's sister. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written full of suspense and intrigue, and a must read riveting romance story. Can't wait to read the next story in the series by the phenomenally talented, Donna Grant!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Yet another great book by one of my favorite authors. Can't wait for the next one.

Author Donna Grant continues The Skye Druids series with another powerful fast-paced read containing multiple plots to keep her readers on their toes and shocked at the ending.
One of the intriguing things about the author is how she writes her book cover summaries giving you a tiny clue about which characters are involved. I always feel like I am guessing and am excited to see if I am right.
Finally, we get Carlyle's story. From day one I have been in love with his character. There was something about him that drew me to him finding his happy ending and him finding his beloved father. Readers will have a resolution in this book regarding his father. I wish I could say more but I don’t want to give away any of the fabulous storyline.
The main female character is his enemy Devon aka Song a trained London Druid assassin/spy. I have always been spellbound by her character from the few times she showed up in some of the earlier books to this series. It’s hard to imagine that someone so bad could have any good in her. I wonder if other readers will be as satisfied with how the author developed her character as I was?
I love the plot to this storyline… it’s filled with danger, learning to trust, shocking unexpected disappointments, and shocking turn of events for everyone which leads straight into another book where I am excited to know who the characters will be. There are some tantalizing situations that still need resolutions.

Wow. This story picks up where "Still of the Night" left off. I would recommend reading Still of the Night first, because then you will understand the background of Devon, aka Song, in this book. so many unexpected revealings, with wrapping up loose ends from the prior book and new reveals that hook you into eagerly awaiting the next novel in the Skye Druids series.

I was hooked on this book from the beginning. Devon/Snow is such a unique individual. Her painful situation is a story unto itself. Adding the Knight's and the troubles in Skye turns the book into an edge of your seat read. The end was a mite creepy and leads into the next book in the series.

Blood Skye by Donna Grant is the next installment in the Skye Druids series. Carlyle is on a mission to find his father, who he believes is being held by The London Druids. But he is met by the London Druid’s assassin, Devon. He will need to maneuver carefully to complete his mission as he falls under their radar. Meanwhile, the evil presence in Skye is gaining ground as The Knights attempt to save their island. And we learn that Sabretooth, the cyber tech guru, has been hiding his true identity from The Knights for a good reason. This exciting tale weaves family dynamics, an evil power, deceit and romance together with just the right amount of magic to make it a fast read that leaves you wanting more.
