I received this book in exchange for an honest review so here it goes !
This book started out a bit slow in my opinion, at first I was confused by the time frame and the way things were set up because while there is a date there is no year, only the age of the main character when you move from a “time zone to another”, so to speak. Also, the fact that some characters ✨**spoilers** we’re dead and then alive in other parts of the book **spoiler end**. ✨
Overall I really enjoyed the book Collin was a nice character and I would’ve liked to know more about him in order to get more invested in the story, I was in love with Ryan and it’s what made me ultimately enjoy the book so much. There were many twist in the story I didn’t expect and it was really easy to get into the writing style once you got used to the set up. I totally recommend it, it’s not a story I would read many times in a row but there were some parts that really gave good life lessons and made things relatable.

Something Of Him is the first time I have read anything by Jonathan M. Lazar and I am beyond thrilled with it.

This story is so darn multi-layered, so raw and so realistic, making it gut-wrenching as well as hopeful. This book had me crying, screaming and swooning.

The story revolves around Jeffrey's life, over a span of years. It follows his heartbreak, his bad decisions, his good decision, and all the complications involved. It is not a happy story during the details, but it has an overall wonderful message.

Jonathan does a fantastic job of telling this tale through an ongoing flip between the past and the present. Make sure to pay attention, as to not miss anything.

I positively fell in love with this story. From the very beginning, I was completely hooked and ended up having to read late into the night.

I don't want to give anything away, but one thing that I find extremely impressive is the way the decision to make porn was discussed. I loved it and appreciated this strong viewpoint.

I highly recommend Something Of Him to anyone looking for a complicated emotional ride.

This is a first time author for me. And I'm so glad I found this one! This was a very raw and heart-breaking read. This book was sad, sweet, romantic, and uplifting at different. times. But there was so much hope here for Jeffrey. The back and forth between the past and present happens so seamlessly there is never the disconnect that can usually happen when authors go this route with their stories. I loved everything about this one. I can't wait to read more from this author!

A brilliant read with a brilliant storyline and characters and I will look forward to reading more from rhis author
