Description
Dillon McGee is a security guard for the largest retail company in the world. But something is going terribly wrong -- he discovers the company is murdering his co-workers. But why? Then it gets worse -- Dillon learns he is the next target. He must find a way to escape before he is hunted down.
He teams up with a pastor, Christopher Forrest, who hates Morgan Retail because of what it has done to his family. Morgan puts a barcode on the foreheads of its workers. Christopher wonders if that could be the mark of the beast.
Corporate-owned (dead peasants) life insurance is real. Companies routinely purchase insurance policies on its workers. If the worker dies the company, not the family, receives the benefit. This is a story about a huge corporation making sure it cashes in.
Layered with realistic characters that you can care about, The Dead Peasants File has a frightening, realistic feel. It is written from a Christian world-view. The Dead Peasants File is a fast-paced page-turner that will keep you guessing and entertained until the very end.

Dillon was a security guard at Morgan Retailer, a Department store in Springfield, Missouri. He was at the St. Louis airport on his way to bring in a fellow employee, Ron Eastland, as his boss Walter Gray had asked him to.
He found Ron hiding behind a newspaper scared to death, he told Dillon that Walter was going to kill him. Dillon thought Ron was overreacting, so he brought him to Walter and that afternoon Walter said Ron had died of a heart attack.
At Ron’s funeral, his widow told Dillon and Christopher, the pastor, that Ron had been online gambling to try to earn extra money, and he had gambled away half of their life savings, gambling was something that Ron never did.
The next day, Dillon went to work had his tattooed I.D. mark on his forehead scanned and he started working - this tattooed I.D. was on all of the store employees foreheads, it helped to distinguish and identify shoppers and employees, and it had identified Ron in the airport too.
A few months later, Dillon gets a call to being in Matt Dillon, a mean looking man who worked in security. Dillon found Matt by radar as Matt was near a truck that had a man named Joseph in it who worked as an assistant manager at the store. Joseph was dead in the seat and Matt claimed he broke his neck in a car accident and Matt then poured gasoline all over Joseph and the truck and set it ablaze.
What is happening at Morgan Retailer, will Dillon stay or leave, read the book to find out!
This book is a good fast paced thriller. The momentum and action continually builds while the characters are drawn into the struggle. . An ex-marine security guard at a huge multi-billion dollar company unknowingly sets the ball in motion. This company answers to no one and has plenty of resources to keep their secrets for them. I recommend this book and look forward to the next book "The Dead Peasants Contract".
The Dead Peasant’s File is a terrific inspirational romance. Thee plot pulled me in immediately and I couldn’t put the book down. I highly recommend this book.
The Dead Peasants File by L. Craig Harris is a terrifying futuristic look at what the worlds top companies could become.
When a company looks at their employees as worth more dead to them than alive.
How can a few good men and one Christian pastor with his own problems stop this company before it takes over the world?
Four solid stars.
The thriller with traces of Christian elements woven in reminded me a bit of a David and Goliath type story. The complex and believable characters mix with the action of the plot made it nearly impossible to put down when I start reading it.

I was immediately attracted by the blanket, where in the foreground you see a woman and in the background a burning house.
It all began when Dillon, a security agent for Morgan Retail, discovered that he killed his colleagues to collect life insurance. And eventually finds out what his next target would be. He will team up with a local pastor.
A first captivating volume full of suspense and twists and turns. Looking forward to reading on.
