This book has a good plot and very interesting characters, but the language is a little tough. It starts out very simplistic, almost like non-fiction, but it has a very fast pace and is enjoyable when you get used to it. It certainly fits the main character and the plot.

Jack Kregas offered up an intense, no-holds-barred bullet-ridden storyline. Speaking both figuratively and literally, the narrative rained down heavy fire from beginning to end. The well-written plot kept me glued to the edge of my seat, just the place I want to be.

Jack of all trades, 'Slick' Morrison became terribly bored with being a banker and decided that some excitement in his life was in order. Time had come to kick things up a notch or two. The next step on his career bandwagon led him to become a private investigator.

To get things started, he enlisted the aid of his good friend and confidant Charlie. He would be the brains behind the scene - Slick, the brawn. Together they would solve misdeeds and bring peace and tranquility to the world - one client at a time.

In no time soon, they found themselves flung from the frying pan into the fire. The daring duo became embroiled in a mysterious homicide that rocketed them to an international smuggling ring. It was way more than what they had bargained for. The chance of being caught at the business end of a gun was a distinct possibility.

As the momentum of the scenes built up with an unyielding ferocity, the investigative team found themselves forced to make life or death decisions. An unsuspecting turn of events set them on a course into unchartered territory. For adrenaline junkie, Slick, time was running out with life and limb held in the balance.

I offer my gratitude to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for this digital edition in exchange for an unbiased review.

It is all about changing what you don't like in your life. Slick become a private detective just because......he is bored (if that would be so simple, to change over night). The language was a bit to tough for me, but I did not stop reading.
Thank you Netgalley for this copy.
