Each recipe maxes out at 350 calories per serving and comes with a complete nutritional analysis, including calories, fats, cholesterol, salt, and other information that is important to you if you are a health-savvy or weight-conscious cook—or if someone you cook for needs help losing a few pounds.

These are soul-satisfying dinners that won’t leave you hungry: Beef Burgundy on Sweet Potato Mash, Seafood Gumbo, and Greek Lemon Chicken with Asparagus, to name just a few. Plus, there are delectable, yet lo-cal, desserts, like Upside Down Chocolate Crusted Cheesecake and Lemon-Berry Bread Pudding, to round out the meal.

At last, weight-watching and calorie-conscious cooks and eaters can enjoy the speed, convenience, and ease-of-use of the Instant Pot and its cousins.

Easy to follow recipes that actually turn out as good as they look. I found myself utilizing this book more than once when planning menus for the week.

Fantastic recipes that I can't wait to try and excellent pictures! The recipes are simple and flavor based but flexible! Very excited to have read this!

My reading circle had been talking about how almost all of the instant pot recipes that we had tried required heavy use of fats and creams to make them work. When this book came up, we all decided to take a couple of recipes and try them. Some were immediate hits...some took a little tweaking...but the facts were clear, you do not have to add hundreds of calories to any of them to make them become family favorites. Our instant pot has not only decreased cooking time, it has expanded our menu to include many recipes that were too much work before. To have a cook book that combines this convenience plus gives us healthy, lower calorie options is definitely a win, win. Nancy Hughes deserves high accolades for her book. The highest I can give her is that my family has voted her recipes as "keepers'.

Thank you to Net Galley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

While I love using my Instant Pot to cook delicious meals for my family, many of the recipes out there are not all that healthy. Just a quick glance through this cookbook, and I’ve already marked many recipes that I can’t wait to try. I appreciate that Hughes uses regular ingredients that are either already in my pantry or easy to find at the grocery store. Here’s to losing weight with the Instant Pot!

Love this cookbook. I'm new to Instant Pot and the recipes in this book are easy to follow with clear instructions. Love having the nutritional information included with the recipe. Mouthwatering pictures!

What a fantastic book! I love cooking but am also very health conscious. This book has provided me with lots of new and interesting meal ideas using the instant pot. Nutritional values are given for each recipe and all meals contain less than 350 calories per serving (even those in the dessert section which is particularly good) It seems that the author has thought of everything. There are quick lunches, soups, salads and low carb meals.

I love my instant pot and use it almost daily. I know I will make many meals from this book. Thank you very much to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group for an advance copy of this title in exchange for an unbiased review.

Fantastic recipe book! These recipes are designed to be used with an Instant Pot (or comparable electric pressure cooker). Each recipe is easy to follow, maxes out at 350 calories per serving, and includes all relevant nutritional information! There is even a dessert section! The recipes were great meals that I would definitely use again and again! Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for healthy, but delicious recipes for their Instant Pot!!

I received this cookbook pre-publication in exchange for my honest review. I love this cookbook! I can sneak dishes under350 calories in on my husband without him being aware. The author has tips and hacks for pressure cooking. My favorite recipe is the sausage pepper pot. I'm looking forward to trying something new to me like the wraps. This cookbook is a must have for people trying to lose weight like me.

Easy to follow recipes, clear and simple instructions. Servings that are 350 calories or less that you can make in your instant pot.

Thank you Netgalley for a free copy in exchange for an honest review. I love everything about my Instant Pot, so when I saw this revised, healthy cookbook, I had to try some of the recipes. Getting into shape is never easy to do, but quick and healthy recipes can make weight loss a lot easier. The great thing about this book is that each recipe is 350 calories per serving! The recipes are easy to follow and I found myself loving the soups more than I thought I would.

This book is perfect for anyone who wants to make simple, delicious meals that are very quick to cook and help you lose weight. They're balanced, so you're not likely to be hungry half an hour later, and the recipes take the guess work out of calorie counting, which is a major time saver and far less stressful than trying to do it yourself. I like that most meals are for 4 people, because if there's less than 4 of you, you can freeze portions for lunches or dinners later in the week (but you need to make sure you store the rest quickly so as not to be tempted to eat more than one serve!!) I like the meat and veg combos, and I love the one pot meals for colder weather. Great book for its purpose! My only complaint is I would have liked some more photos. Oh, and it really is best suited for a pressure cooker that has a saute function (such as the Instant Pot), but you could easily cook that part on the stove.

What an enjoyable book. I received an instant pot for Christmas but had no idea how to really work it into my daily diet. I think of pot cooking as heavy and overfilling dinners. This was a refreshing way to take something traditional and lighten it.

In this delightful Instant Pot cookbook, the author shares a variety of recipes that are under 350 calories per serving. While many Instant Pot cookbooks exist, this author writes with an engaging personality that is both cheerleader and instructor. It feels as though she is not just helping you use your appliance for cooking healthier, but she also wants you to succeed in achieving your goals. The book has an excellent tip section with information about using the electronic pressure cooker as well as healthy cooking ideas in general, some of which go beyond the use of an Instant Pot.

The book’s organization is slightly unorthodox, not focusing on protein types, but usually on the kind of dish. Some recipes use the pressure cooker to precook ingredients for things like wraps, sandwiches, and salads. There are recipes as well for one-dish meals, soups & stews, and protein-side combinations. There are even healthy desserts. The recipes are simply written in an easy-to-read style, which I think is essential in Instant Pot cookbooks.

If you're hoping to use your Instant Pot to help make not just fast recipes for your family but low-calorie ones, this book is full of tips and recipes that will help get you there.

This had a lot of very good recipes and I liked the fact there was great variety. The sections were easy to follow.
This book is great for people who want great flavours but low in calories and I liked the way different herbs and spices are used to enhance the dishes.

At our public library, I'm often asked for diet cookbooks, and with the popularity of instant pot pressure cooking, I know this will be a welcome title. Recipes are widely varied, from brisket to seafood to vegetables, and there will be something for every appetite. Instructions are comprehensive without being too complicated. I would like to have a photograph of the finished dish to go with each recipe, but otherwise this is a great volume.

Insta-Pot. The "new", "it" way of cooking. I love mine. So easy, fast, efficient. And turns out great tasting food.
Most recipes that one reads of are, unfortunately, loaded with calories. The author has came up with a great alternative. She found dozens of low-calorie, healthier options for using the Inst-Pot.
I was a bit skeptical. At least until I tried some of the recipes. They were very good.
The book is broken down into sections. Subjects such as soups and stews, one-dish suppers, and even desserts. I tried several. The "spicy pineapple chicken and snow peas" was great. As was the "chunky ratatouille-style vegetables". And the desserts were delicious! I loved the "apple-cranberry oat crumble".
I'm looking forward to trying more of the author's recipes.

there's a nice variety of recipe types so you're likely to find several that will appeal to you. there's a good selection each of vegetarian (which is unusual in a cook book isn't geared to that) as well as poultry, meat (beef & pork) and seafood as well as ranging from comfort food to "nice" meal. I liked that it didn't call for lots of tools or ingredients that are unusual for the average kitchen. the steps are laid out simply and easy to follow. there are a nice pictures of completed recipes (while most are easy to tell what they are, it would be nice if they were identified). the occasional use of convenience food (ie: pre-made massed sweet potatoes, instant rice) is appreciated to help with rounded easy quick meal while still having it home made too. some suggestions for alternates veggie noodles/rice or white vs dark meat in poultry dishes to help meet other dietary or taste preferences would have been appreciated. while some recipes may need "tweaked' a little for personal taste, i'm sure there will be several that will be in my instant pot multiple times in the future.

So far the recipes I have tried making from Thinner in an Instant have turned out delicious. Steps are well laid-out and explained, including which Instant Pot settings to be using. Ingredients are also accessible and commonly use what is in most pantries. The amount of liquid called for in the recipes has also been pretty accurate - no soupy dishes that aren't meant to be soupy! One thing to keep in mind with this cookbook is that the portion sizes are relatively small, hence the lower calorie-count.

A good selection of recipes. Easy to follow. I have tried many different ones and have not been disappointed. A good addition to the kitchen.

As instant pots have become more popular, I believe adding titles like this to cookbook collections would be beneficial to libraries.

Following the popularity of the Instant Pot and related cookbooks, this offers many options for low-calorie, weeknight meals meant to help the reader lose weight. I was unable to try any of the recipes myself before my access to this ARC expired, but the photographed meals looked like they could be good.
